“This was our first time using Rover. Riley was helpful in explaining how it worked. She watched our cat for several visits for two days. For each visit she sent information on how the visit went. Unfortunately our kitty would run and hide after greeting her so she couldn’t get many pictures. She even went and found him and sat trying to convince him to come out! He ate well during her visits and she was kind to clean up the dirty cat bowls each time! It’s also very comforting knowing Riley has experience working in a vet clinic.”

About: Hello there! I’m Sam. I’ve loved animals since I was 9 years old and have been a pet sitter on Rover for over 4 years now. As you can see from all my reviews, I enjoy being part of this community! Currently, I have two fur babies of my own: Tango, a Norwegian Elkhound, and Scout, a Pitbull/Yorkie mix. In 2024, my beloved Timmy, a dachshund senior dog passed away at 15 years old, so I also have personal experience caring for older dogs who need a little extra love and specialized attention. About: I love dogs as I’ve had many throughout my childhood and adulthood. My family has always been a big pet family and so I completely understand the love and attention pets need and deserve. After all, they are an important part of our lives! I am currently a senior in college, and while I wished I had a pet, I do not have one yet. About: I’ve had dogs growing up and a lot of friends who have dogs. My roommates and I all love dogs and they would be in good care with us for however long needed. I am currently a college student who has a lot of extra free time. I love being outside and want a dog to walk with me to keep me company. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
