“This was our first time using Rover. Riley was helpful in explaining how it worked. She watched our cat for several visits for two days. For each visit she sent information on how the visit went. Unfortunately our kitty would run and hide after greeting her so she couldn’t get many pictures. She even went and found him and sat trying to convince him to come out! He ate well during her visits and she was kind to clean up the dirty cat bowls each time! It’s also very comforting knowing Riley has experience working in a vet clinic.”

About: I have had dogs and cats for all my life, and have cared for them for others for over 12 years. From kittens/puppies to seniors, I can care for them all! I will be your fur baby’s new best friend (other than you of course! 😁) in no time! I currently work on my own flexible schedule, so it is easy for me to fit your needs in! Just let me know what you are looking for and I will do my best to accommodate! I will be as attentive to your fur baby’s as you need me to be. I will play with them, walk them and make sure they are getting food, water and treats (if those are okay!). I can also provide crating up to one large breed dog, and have spare leashes and brushes. I have two kitty backpacks if I ever need to transfer them without a leash. I know dog and cats CPR, and have several veterinary connections nearby for quick service if that is ever needed.
About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life and I adore them. I have two dogs of my own, a 12 year old Border Collie mix and a two year old Australian Shepherd, and I volunteer down at the Richmond Animal Shelter every week so I'm used to handling a variety of dogs! I have a very flexible schedule and I would love to work with dogs of any activity level, age, or size! I definitely understand the importance of frequent potty breaks, consistent meal times, and lots of love and playtime! Also, punctuality is something that I take very seriously so you won't have to worry about me being late! She only clocked 10 minutes on Christmas Eve and Christmas but it was the holidays and she was very busy. We had a miscommunication about key drop off and I should have written the instructions down.”
About: I'm a life-long dog lover that will provide great care to your dog! I live in a great pet-friendly neighborhood, with a dog park nearby. My family has always had dogs, growing up - so I'm very comfortable around them. About: I have 15+ years of experience taking care of dogs and I own one myself. I have a 6 year old female shih-tzu. She is family to me and I know how scary it can be to leave your dog in the hands of someone else so I promise to take care of your dog as if they were one of my own. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
