About: As a dependable and detail-oriented professional, I bring a calm, nurturing energy and a high level of responsibility to pet sitting. My background has instilled in me a deep respect for routines, cleanliness, and clear communication—meaning your home will be kept immaculate, and your pets will receive their meals, medications, and exercise exactly on schedule. Above all, I am genuinely attentive to animal behavior, ensuring your dogs or cats feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you are away. I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own, giving you complete peace of mind. Because I have a completely flexible, open schedule, I am available all day to dedicate my full attention to your pets. This means I am consistently on hand to provide frequent bathroom breaks, maintain precise feeding and medication schedules, and offer plenty of daytime companionship and play. Your pets won't have to spend long hours waiting alone, giving them a stress-free, comfortable routine and giving you total peace of mind throughout the day. Because I am available throughout the entire day, I can dedicate my full attention to maintaining your pet's exact daily routine right in the comfort of their own home. I strictly adhere to their familiar schedules for feeding, exercise, and medication so they experience zero disruption while you are away. Additionally, I keep a detailed, daily log of their activities, meals, and behavior, keeping you fully connected and informed. With me, your pets receive constant, reliable companionship, and you get the total peace of mind that comes from knowing their day is structured, safe, and fully accounted for.

“Holly was great with our pups! She ran over to be with them when we had a last minute change of plans. We really appreciated her care and attention to our fur babies! Definitely recommend!”

“We are so grateful to have found Nichole. Our two Cairn Terrier brothers like being home and we prefer having them there, especially compared to the stress and expense of taking them to a kennel. We had a great meet & greet with Nichole and our pups took to her immediately. This was a difficult trip for us (mom’s funeral), and getting updates and photos from Nichole has been very comforting. Her enthusiasm and professionalism have helped make this trip so much better and opened the door for future travels knowing our dogs are very well cared for. Thank you, Nichole, for being excellent.”

Would love to help you care for your fur or non fur babies such as reptiles . 😊 I have plenty of free time in between driving my children to school and their activities . As a mail carrier for 24 years, I was trusted with every home on my route - I bring that same respect and responsibility into your home. I will follow your instructions for feeding, water, potty breaks, walks, litter boxes, and medication. I make sure doors and gates are double-secured, give your pet lots of love and playtime, and leave your home neat and tidy - just how you left it. For walks, I keep dogs on-leash at all times, avoid hot pavement, bring water, and tailor the walk to their age and energy. You’ll get a detailed Rover card with photos and notes after every visit, so you know exactly how they did. I've had pets my whole life, so I know how important it is to have someone dependable. Your pet's safety and comfort is always my #1 priority.
“Maria was fantastic! She is very caring, was very respectful of our home, on time, and made sure to keep everything clean. She has a very sweet personality as well. I have had multiple people from Rover over the years and had some great people and some not so great. I rate Maria up at the top. Do not let her newness to Rover dissuade you from hiring her. You will be happy you had her caring for your fur babies.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodmere
Tracy was wonderful! She took great care of our two cats. She was very communicative, followed our care instructions, and even brought toys to play with our cats. They are shy, but I think Tracy won them over. We will definitely be rebooking with Tracy in the future!!

Holly was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind and accommodating, especially since we reached out on short notice. Our cat had recently had surgery and needed some extra care and attention, and Holly took such great care of him. She kept us updated, made sure he was comfortable, and gave him all the love and attention he needed. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in her care. We would absolutely trust Holly with our pets again and highly recommend her to anyone!

We had a great meet & greet with Nichole and our pups took to her immediately. This was a difficult trip for us (mom’s funeral), and getting updates and photos from Nichole has been very comforting. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
