“I’ve had Jaclyn take care of my dogs a few times now and she always sends me updates on the dogs and sends me pictures, assuring me not to worry while I’m away. I highly recommend her services!”

About: Reliable, Attentive Care — I Treat Your Pets Like Family Hi, I’m Stacey. I’m new to Rover, but not new to caring deeply and responsibly for dogs. I recently lost my own dog after many years, and that experience reinforced how important patience, comfort, and dependable care truly are. I understand how hard it can be to trust someone with a pet you love. I follow routines closely, take instructions seriously, and pay attention to the small details that help pets feel safe and secure. I’m especially patient with senior dogs, anxious pets, or dogs who need a calm, steady presence. I provide regular updates and photos so you always know your pet is in good hands. Schedule availability: Currently, my availability is during weekday (elementary) school hours (8am - 2pm), ensuring dedicated attention for each visit giving focus and unrushed care. For walks and drop-in visits, I follow each pet’s routine and instructions closely. I ensure leashes, doors, and gates are secure, monitor behavior and comfort, and give calm, attentive care. I respect my clients’ homes and provide clear updates and photos after every visit.

About: I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends, family, and neighbors. Animals naturally feel calm around me, and I treat every pet like my own with plenty of play, walks, and affection. I currently work part-time during weekdays and am available for drop-ins and walks around 1 PM in D.C., as well as evenings and nights during weekdays and weekends. Let’s communicate and I’ll do everything in my power to make it work for you and your pet! I treat every pet like family. I follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, and playtime to keep them comfortable and relaxed. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for, and I’m happy to send updates and photos while you’re away.

“First time we have ever used this Service and Alexandria was perfect. Great pictures, notifications and updates were clear and the stress of leaving our dog at home and as gone!”

I’ll be home majority of the day to keep them comfortable and safe.
“Rachel G. did an outstanding job, while we were away for a week over the holiday. We loved getting the pics and video showing our surly little cat coming out from hiding and really warming up to Rachel. She was well-fed, watered and very content when we got home. Couldn't ask for more than this kind of peace of mind. Highly recommend and will rebook Rachel's services.”

“Whitney was so awesome with our golden retriever! She sent very detailed reports of her visits and tons of pictures. I could tell how happy our pup was to see her everyday and how engaged she was with him. Incredible experience!!”

About: Hiiii my name is Martina, I have a few pets of my own including two very cute dogs, one turtle and a cat!!! I have had dogs all throughout my life growing up and a few other animals, I’m looking to make some extra cash while also doing something I love and animals are the best companions!!! While I am myself new to this app. I used to help out my mom all the time when she did Rover, along with fostering pets/ shelter pets with my parents. I currently work part-time as a hairstylist, so in the days I’m not doing much. I’d love to spend some time with some very cute animals. As I stated, I do have pets of my own. I love so very much. I even consider my babies to be my best friends lol, but in my house we’re very good with our feeding times and keeping our dogs on a routine, making sure that our dogs are able to get enough outside time and that they have a good amount of enrichment through toys and playtime.
“Def trust Lauren with your pets. Lauren did everything as requested and my dog felt comfortable being around a trusted pet lover. The updates were also very helpful especially with my work schedule def appreciate the help.”

“Courtney was absolutely amazing. She sent plenty of photos along with thoughtful, detailed updates, and my cat clearly adored her. I’m so grateful for her — especially for being so flexible on such short notice. I would book her again in a heartbeat, 1000%!”

About: I have been great around pets and have always been fond of them. My pet care experience began when I was in middle school when my cousins would trust me to take care of their dog when they would leave the house. during the week day I have 3 days available where during the afternoon and evenings I can pet sit. During the weekend’s I have late afternoon, evenings and night availability. I care for pets with integrity however ai also enforce boundaries. I am always going to ask the owner for certain rules when regarding their pets and also ask if i can enforce some rules of my own.
About: Hi my name is Aayana, i am 28 and i live in the Glen Burnie area but i have a car and can easily travel to and from to walk your pet or to pet sit. I am very passionate about animals and their wellbeing! I’ve had pets all of my life and know the struggles of balancing work and pleasure while also caring for a pet. Generally my family or friends ask me to care for their pets when they are out of town, and I also regularly pet sit for 2 families throughout the year. I also used to be an independent contractor through “Love Those Paws” and “WAG” where i had dogs, cats and other animals to care for! When i’m not caring for pets you can find me enjoying a movie or tv show, painting, hoop dancing or doing hair or lash extensions. I take on demand walks in my free time but generally prefer scheduled/reoccurring walks. Im a small person (100lbs) so my max is 3 dogs to walk at a time and i generally try to find local paths to walk. I am experienced in administering medication for pets I create my own schedule, so i have (mostly) complete flexibility! Mondays & Tuesdays i take & pick up my child from school, so there’s about an hour in the morning and afternoon that i am not available. I do not do boardings at my own house as 2 of my cats have anxiety and introducing a new animal would cause unnecessary stress for them. However, i will do house sittings at the owners home! I currently have 2 families that i have worked with for 3 years that i house/pet sit for throughout the year.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodland Beach
Jessica is hands-down an incredible pet sitter! She cared for our three dogs (two of whom have special needs, including a senior dog and one who was sick) and handled everything with total care and professionalism. Her daily notes were incredibly thorough, and she always took excellent pictures that gave us complete peace of mind. What blew us away was how attentive she was: she noticed right away when our dog wasn't feeling well, communicated with us immediately, and got quick guidance on what to do. Jessica went above and beyond in every way. If you need a reliable, observant, and loving pet sitter, hire her. We highly recommend Jessica to anyone!

I cannot recommend Megan enough! She truly went above and beyond while caring for my dog. We had a few unexpected things come up during our time away, and she handled everything with such patience, professionalism, and care. She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, always keeping us updated and making sure we knew what was going on!

Abigail was amazing with checking in on my pets while I was away, especially with my kitty not being the most social around other people. She is trustworthy, attentive to details and did everything I asked of her including watering my plants, feeding my turtle, checking my cat’s automatic litter box, putting cat tv on for my kitty, even throwing away and putting our trash out for the collectors and ensuring she left the house clean and secured. I highly recommend her and will be using her again for future care!

Shannon is a great sitter for my cats while I was away on a 3-week European trip. She made sure that my cats were fed and very happy with her. Very plesed with her quick responses and notes describing how my cats are doing. I will have her again in the near future!!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
