“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Cassie! She took incredible care of our two pups, kept us updated, and gave them so much love and attention. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals. We will 100% book her again and recommend her to anyone looking for peace of mind while away.”

“10/10, I would absolutely book with her again! She made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. Communication was excellent, everything went smoothly, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in great hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend her to others.”

About: I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends, family, and neighbors. Animals naturally feel calm around me, and I treat every pet like my own with plenty of play, walks, and affection. I currently work part-time during weekdays and am available for drop-ins and walks around 1 PM in D.C., as well as evenings and nights during weekdays and weekends. Let’s communicate and I’ll do everything in my power to make it work for you and your pet! I treat every pet like family. I follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, and playtime to keep them comfortable and relaxed. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for, and I’m happy to send updates and photos while you’re away.
“Owen was great. He kept contact with us as necessary. Our Al was well looked after. We will gladly request Owen again and Al will be familiar with him and happy to see him. Thank you Owen for your responsible care of our beloved dog. Until next time😊”

“Elias was on time for each visit and took great care of our senior golden retriever. Unfortunately, our golden had a few accidents and threw up on his doggy bed but Elias cleaned every mess without complaint and kept us informed. Overall, we are very pleased with how our fur baby was cared for. Would book again!!”

About: I have been caring for pets my entire life, but officially became a Rover Provider in June 2025. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, kittens and adult cats, reactive dogs, timid pets, and even exotic pets. I cared for guinea pigs for six years, and have experience caring for breaded dragons, snakes, fish, and more. Currently, I live with a Cane Corso, Yorkie Poo, two cats, and a mutt. Pet-care is one of my passions, I am always ready to learn how to care for new pets! My daily routine is built around pet-care. I am used to adapting my schedule to accommodate for walks, feeding, check-ins - whatever is best for your pet. of flexibility. I build safety and trust with clients through clear, honest, and open communication. I will be upfront about what I can and cannot do. I build trust with the pets by following their lead. I read body language to determine the boundaries shared by the pet, and respect them. Above all, I strive to foster a warm and welcoming environment that prioritizes not only the safety of every living creature involved, and their happiness and joy, too!

About: I am an avid dog (and cat!) lover and have had experience working with other various types of animals over the course of the last 12 years! I previously was a dog trainer and have been trained to work with dog aggression and handling anxious dogs. Currently I own one dog and two cats. My dog’s name is Dzeko and he does well with a variety of animals. My three cats are named The Girl and Malenia. I love hiking and running so I can exercise your energetic pup as much as needed! If you have questions or need help with your dog’s behavior we can also discuss training. I currently work Monday through Thursday in the mornings and wrap up around noon, which leaves me with plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings for walks, drop-ins, or just spending time with your pets. My weekends are completely open as well. I intentionally keep my schedule flexible and would love to combine my free time with caring for pets. I’m also available for house sitting, so I can provide more consistent care and keep your pets company throughout the day if needed. I try to keep everything as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away! I follow all feeding, walking, and care instructions closely, and I’m very attentive to behavior changes or anything that seems off. I’m clean and respectful of your space! I’m also mindful about safety, making sure doors, gates, and any pet specific precautions are always handled properly. I also like to stay in touch and send updates/photos so you can feel at ease knowing your furry friend is happy and well cared for while you’re away!
“Ali was my saving grace for a last minute trip. She was excellent with my dog and provided details with each drop in visit. My dog loved her and looked forward to every walk. I will definitely use her in the future!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was young, I love dogs. I enjoy meeting their different personality traits and getting to know them. Dogs make my heart melt & my own dog genuinely gets me up every morning. I will take care of your dogs as though they are my own because i know the fear that comes associated since I’ve kept my dog with others myself. I have a pitbull as well as 2 cats so I love any size, any attitude, any pet. They’re all perfect lovable creatures, no matter the personality type & I really enjoy taking dogs for walks and playing with them or even just laying with them and cuddling. It’s seratonin for us both! My pets are my best friends and I would like to make your pets the same way. The excitement of seeing my pet friends every day is such a blessing I’m grateful to experience. I have tons of love & affection to give (or none at all, if they prefer) & I’m excited to share it with your pets I’m currently in school for social work so I have a lot of extra time on my hands, I love filling it with our furry friends. I understand all methods of caretaking when it comes to our pets. If your dog is a jumper, I’ll always watch and make sure they don’t jump over any fences. I am somewhat of a hover parent myself & I keep such an eye on my pets, they’ve never had an accident resulting in a vet visit. I also understand sensitive stomachs & our babies that are dying to eat everything, itching for a vet appt but not on my watch. I multitask well so your pet will never go unnoticed.
About: For 18 years I have cared for my own dogs and dog sat for friends and family. I worked at a vet clinic for 4 years ending 13 years ago. Familiar with many breeds and comfortable with them as well. I currently working full time but my husband works from home completely so we always have a person around, including my kids who are great care takers. I work from home usually a day or two. I have a 6 foot fence and 2 friendly dogs to keep your furbaby company. No other pets are in the home. We are great with giving meds and love to all animals.
About: Ever since I can remember I’ve always had animals in the house. When I was little I started with fish, reptiles, and small animals but as I’ve gotten older I’ve also taken on cats, dogs, birds, etc. Seeing as I’ve looked after many beloved pets throughout my life I’ve also taken on the challenge of learning to administer supplements and medication to the ones that need it. I’ve bottle fed and taken care of newborn puppies and kittens since I was small, and although I’m not a credentialed trainer, pride myself in knowing that I’ve been very good at training the animals I’ve had throughout my life. I’ve owned many breeds of cats and dogs ranging from extra big to extra small and including all stages of life. I’d love to be the one you choose to take care of your furry friends needs. Because of my job, I don’t get off at a certain time on weekdays so I have my availability set to every 8+ hours. I don’t always get off late but it depends on the day so sometimes I’m available more often, and others I’m not. Just to play it safe I’ve limited my hours on these days. As for weekends I’m normally available all day so as long as I don’t already have plans to attend to I can be free whenever. I always make sure to consider the clients comments/ requests when caring for their pets so every situation is different but either way I always take care of each animal to the best of my ability.
“Alaina, thank you for watching our happy boy! You were exceptional making sure you covered his medical needs and his anxious tendencies. Thanks for going above and beyond with keeping us up to date and Kipp taken care of. Will definitely have you again!”

“Nicole took amazing care of our senior pups. I usually worry so much when I have to leave them but felt very comfortable that she would take good care of them. She was on time for all of the drop ins we had scheduled, sent us pictures and took good care of my girls. I will definitely use Nicole again and would recommend her to others.”

“Title: Amazing Care and Attention to Detail! Review: From the very first meet and greet, Kyra made a fantastic impression on both us and our pups! She has a warm and caring energy that our dogs picked up on right away. Our husky, who loves attention, was thrilled with the scratches and pets from Kyra, and my shy little puppy, who’s usually reserved with new people, even warmed up to her quickly. Kyra's check-ins are thorough and filled with thoughtful updates, which gives us peace of mind knowing our pets are in such caring hands. If you're looking for someone who will spoil your dogs and treat them like their own, Kyra is the perfect choice!”

About: I have grown up with Pitbulls and Frenchies my whole life so I am confident that I can take great care of your beloved pet! I work from home and will be with your lovely dog all day (unless I need to go out to run an errand) so no need for you to be worried that they’ll be alone! I prefer to crate any dogs that are not mine while I am away from the home just to make sure everyone has their own space. If Dog is not crate trained, then I will place them in a room if I need to leave the house.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was around 11 years old and I had a cat when I was little. I absolutely adore animals and believe they deserve the absolute best care. I currently have a full time job but am free every day after 5:30. I will happily take care of your fur baby in the morning before work, on my hour lunch break, and after work. Fully available every other Saturday (after 1:30 on the others) and every Sunday. I make sure my dog is properly fed throughout the day and always has clean water. I take him outside every few hours to use the bathroom and so he can run around and play in the fresh air.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
