“Megan put our minds to ease the first time we met her. She is professional and she is very thorough in obtaining the information that is needed regarding what we expected as far as pet sitting Bogie. Bogie is a friendly dog, most times, but there are a few people he has been known to 'shun'... Megan wasn't one of them... He took to her right away...and from her description in her texts to us of his behavior when she pet sat for him, he was being his same old silly self. We hope to be able to use Megan for pet sitting whenever we have a need for a Pet Sitter. Very pleased and happy with our Rover experience utilizing Megan as our Pet Sitter!”
About: My wife and I had a dog for 13 years and enjoyed taking her hiking and swimming throughout her active years and snuggling on the couch when she became a senior. I'm familiar with the whole life cycle of dog care. From helping puppies get all the wiggles out to carrying seniors whose legs are arthritic and no longer at their best. Now that our girl, Nala has passed away, we are enjoying connecting with others' pets. I have an unconventional schedule for work and am available to let your dog out from 9 am until noon on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Wednesdays and Thursdays are my days off and I'm free to hang with your pup any time! I'm very committed to pet safety and will want to understand all situations in which your dog may become reactive so that we avoid putting your pet in a situation that will make him or her uncomfortable. I also have a tracker that I like to put on all dogs in my care just in case they get spooked or something unexpected happens while we are together.
About: Since I was a kid I've been the person neighbors, friends, and family have relied on to watch their fur babies of all shapes and sizes. From maintaing clean litter boxes to taking long walks around the neighborhood, spending time with fur babies of all ages is my passion. While the parents are not home, it is all snuggles and play time. I will clean after the animals if there is an accident, and will help maintain tidy litterboxes. If the owner has a fenced in yard that they prefer for the dog to potty in, I will still go behind and bag the fresh poop.
About: I've been taking care of family and friends dogs for over 5 years. And used to have dogs and cats of my own. I have many fur-nieces and fur-nephews and love them as my own. “Pros: - Fed them - gave them meds - took them for potty - First time they came they stayed the fully scheduled amount of time - Willing to come to our house before scheduling so the dogs could meet them. Cons: - Only stayed between 12 and 17 minutes for three of the four drop ins - On the second night they didn’t get to our house until two hours after their scheduled time (we have security cameras in our house so we could see). I messaged them and tried calling but they never responded and the call went straight to voicemail.”
About: I am an avid dog (and cat!) lover and have had experience working with other various types of animals over the course of the last 12 years! I previously was a dog trainer and have been trained to work with dog aggression and handling anxious dogs. Currently I own one dog and two cats. My dog’s name is Dzeko and he does well with a variety of animals. My three cats are named The Girl and Malenia. I love hiking and running so I can exercise your energetic pup as much as needed! If you have questions or need help with your dog’s behavior we can also discuss training. I currently work Monday through Thursday in the mornings and wrap up around noon, which leaves me with plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings for walks, drop-ins, or just spending time with your pets. My weekends are completely open as well. I intentionally keep my schedule flexible and would love to combine my free time with caring for pets. I’m also available for house sitting, so I can provide more consistent care and keep your pets company throughout the day if needed. I try to keep everything as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away! I follow all feeding, walking, and care instructions closely, and I’m very attentive to behavior changes or anything that seems off. I’m clean and respectful of your space! We had a few unexpected things come up during our time away, and she handled everything with such patience, professionalism, and care. Aiden watched our dog and cat for a long weekend and did an amazing job. He checked in regularly, asked questions if needed, and was very responsive. We have a disabled, elderly, dog and he was great at giving her medication too. I definitely recommend using him.
Ryder seemed to take to Kayla fast, usually he runs and hides. I was surprised when Kayla sent me a picture of her petting him and brushing him. I was so happy to see that! Kayla didn't make it to the last visit because of a family emergency, but I actually got home earlier than I expected. So he didn't have to wait to long to get his breakfast. I would definitely use Kayla again and would recommend her to others.
I really cannot say enough wonderful things about Veronica! This was our 3rd booking with Veronica while we were out of town, and as usual, she was amazing. Our once shy and skittish kitty has become comfortable with Veronica and her check ins - that in and of itself was a huge success! Kayla was an incredible sitter for my bunny! I have never felt more at peace when away from home. She always sent photos of Oliver as well as his food & water so that we knew he was all taken care of. I could tell that Oliver felt super comfortable with her which was amazing! We will definitely book with Kayla full time for any future dates.
I was very pleased with Parker caring for my cat. He always runs and hides from people when they come to my house. Parker actually got Ryder to come out and let her pet him. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
