“Karen was great for our drop-in visit with Chicken. She’s a great communicator, and keeps us in the know about dog behavior. She took a charming photo of chicken enjoying the outside. Much thanks Karen!”

“My cats love Courtney! Especially my super shy boy comes out of shell when he sees her. I’m super happy with her taking care of my two little ones, she spends quality time with them and doesn’t cut her visits short. I also really appreciate the detailed write up and the cute photos. Thank you, Courtney!”

“I would like to say thanks to Jazmin for her willingness to continue care of my two pups while my flight was cancelled due to the weather. I appreciate her keeping tabs and updates on my two pups during my absence.”

About: I have grown up with dogs and have been around/worked with them all my life. Needless to say I’m very comfortable with them. I’m confident in working and caring for a dog of any age and providing any care they might need. I have also been riding horses since I was a small child and feel comfortable with any needs they might need met. Feeding, mucking out (cleaning up poo and pee), giving meds to dogs, cats, horses are all tasks I feel confident in. Side note I also feel comfortable taking care of basic reptiles, but my experience is mostly in horses, cats, and dogs. I currently work full time in inner harbor from 8 am-4:30pm. I could possibly provide care before my regular working hours depending on location. Can definitely provide care after working hours. In my home my cats are fed both wet and dry food throughout day depending on their needs. At this time I do not provide the option of caring for an animal at my house.
About: I've had dogs my whole life and love playing with and training them. I unfortunately lost Axel, my shepherd/husky mix, last year. But I still have Harley (technically my boyfriend's, but we've lived together 3 years now). Harley is a sweet, 4-year-old, 40 lb spayed female mystery mix who loves to play, especially with other dogs. We go for lots of walks each day and we like playing, learning and practicing tricks. She knows the basics and can also spin, place, go around you, and now we're practicing crawl. I think people could learn a lot from dogs if they paid more attention. I've started dog sitting for neighbors the past few years and always enjoy getting to know new dogs. One of my favorite dogs I've cared for is Goose, a 5-year-old male Chesapeake Bay retriever. I also work managing a restaurant in town and do graphic design part-time from home as well. I'm currently not working a regular 9:00 - 5:00 job, so I'm available most days and times of the week. I usually have some availability for last minute walks as well. I live in an apartment downtown in Annapolis. We currently do not have a yard; however, we go for a lot of walks and still spend a lot of time outside at parks and just hanging out in front of the apartment to people (and dog) watch. I have a crate, and my dog is crate-trained, so if/when your pup is over, I'm prepared to separate them if needed.
About: Hello! I am a teacher and parent who is reliable and trustworthy. I have always had a dog of my own and currently have 2 dogs, one 6 month old dachsund mix and the other is a 4 year old cattle dog mix. I am very passionate about helping others care for their dogs! When I was a teenager, I worked as a vet clean up tech at my local veterinarian. Everyone who knows will tell you that every time I see a dog, I always want to go pet it right away! I’m a true dog lover and would love to help people out caring for their pets! I am available in the early mornings and afternoons for walking and pet sitting! Holidays are also a great time for me because I’m off work then! I look forward to taking care of your fur babies! I am a teacher, so I'm available on the weekends and have more availability in the summer months to take care of dogs. I prefer to take care of dogs and cats in the mornings, but can do mid-day or afternoons if needed. I have a fenced in yard and a great neighborhood to walk dogs around. I also have a crate that can be used for small and large dogs if needed.

“We're behind thrilled with Mackenzie! She really showed great love and outstanding care for our dog and 3 cats and was very descriptive in her reports while we were away for the weekend. By far, she has been the best pet sitter we've ever had. We will continue to request her even when we aren't traveling because all of our furkids absolutely love her! This was a great experience and we knew from the “get go” upon meeting her, that our furkids were in excellent hands. Thank you Mackenzie!”

Whether it’s a quiet walk or an energy-burning play session, your pet's safety and happiness are always my top priority. Let’s schedule a meet-and-greet! I’d love to learn more about your pet and how I can help make your time away stress-free for both of you. 🐶🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because of how flexible and rewarding it is. Since I set my own schedule, I can book pet care clients around my part-time job shifts and study blocks, which helps me stay balanced and productive. Walking dogs gives me a much-needed mental reset from screen time and studying, and it keeps me active throughout the day. It’s also a great way to supplement my income without taking on another traditional job. Most of all, spending time with animals brings me a lot of joy and motivation — it breaks up long study days and reminds me why I love what I do Whether you’re at work or away for a few days, I provide reliable, in-home care that keeps your pets safe, happy, and stress-free in their familiar environment. From daily walks to feeding, playtime, and medication routines, I tailor every visit to your pet’s unique needs. 🔐 Safety & Professionalism Equipped for pet first aid always carrying a kit Detailed home-entry and security protocols Leash and harness checks before every walk Weather-conscious and always alert to potential hazards Respectful of your home, your pets, and your time 📸 Peace of Mind After each visit, you’ll receive a photo and short update so you know how your furry friend is doing — because trust is built on communication
About: As a lifelong pet lover and pet owner of over 11 years, I understand that pets are family and deserve the same love, patience, and attention we give our own. While I'm new to Rover, I bring years of hands-on experience caring for pets, including senior dogs and raising and training my Doberman, Brody, over the past three years. As a full-time architect, I'm detail-oriented, organized, responsible, and a fast learner. I understand the importance of following instructions carefully, maintaining routines, and making sure every detail is accounted for. Whether your dog needs a leisurely walk, extra patience and care in their senior years, or simply a little extra love and attention while you're away, I'll do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I'm committed to being reliable, communicative, and respectful of your pet's individual needs. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I look forward to building that trust with every booking. I can't wait to meet you and your pup! I work full-time as an architect, but I'm happy to incorporate pet care into my daily routine! I'm available for walks and drop-in visits before my workday begins and during my lunch break, with additional availability outside of my regular 9–6 schedule depending on the day. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities! I live in a welcoming, family-oriented community with accessible walking paths and plenty of green space to explore and enjoy. It's a great environment for daily walks, fresh air, and outdoor adventures, not to mention it is walking distance to Quiet Waters Park, which includes a dog park/beach. My Doberman, Brody, is a friendly companion who may be able to keep your pup company, provided they're a good fit for one another. As an experienced pet owner, I understand that every dog has their own personality, boundaries, and comfort level, and I'll always prioritize their individual needs.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - The Downs
I completely trust Heather with my sweet senior rescue! I was on a longer trip than I wanted to be due to a family commitment, and only was going to do the trip if i didn’t have to board him. Although a friend was able to housesit with him at night, she works full-time. Heather came to the rescue and did three check-ins each day for four days straight (walks and feedings)! She is so affectionate with him, and he just loves her. Knowing Heather was checking in on him kept me from being completely distraught! She also was so patient and understanding when I had an issue with my lockbox, and we had to temporarily pivot to another solution. Heather is a pet sitter extraordinaire!

Jazmin has been wonderful!! We are so blessed to have her watch our fur babies. She was always on time, sent at least 10 photos and our pups loved her. She was very conscientious about them eating and even giving them snacks. This was our first time having Jazmin at our home but we will certainly use her services again!!!!

Courtney did an amazing job of taking care of my cat while I was on vacation. Food, water, and litter were good to go the whole time. She even got him to come out of hiding and play around, sending multiple pictures for peace of mind. Overall 5/5, completely hassle free, if I need a pet sitter again she’ll be the first I ask.

Stacie was great and I’d absolutely book with her again. She was flexible, communicative, and clearly took great care of my cats while I was away. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled, kept me updated, and gave me real peace of mind during my trip. It was obvious from the updates and from how my cats acted afterward that they were comfortable with her and well cared for. I really appreciated her attention to detail and the care she put into everything. Highly recommend.

Caitlyn has been wonderful with our dog, Hobo. She was flexible and added in extra walks when we called from vacation and needed it. Her visits have always been lengthy with lots of exercise and playtime, and she was willing to come early mornings and late at night. She sent lots of pictures and it was clear that Hobo was having a great time with her. Caitlyn definitely went above and beyond and I would recommend her 100%.

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
