Availability
While I am unavailable to stay overnight in your home due to having an anxious pup, I am more than happy to spend plenty of time throughout the day! With up to 4 visits a day (can be more as requested), ranging from 6:30am to 10pm, I can meet your pups daily needs and more! Pet sitting is my full time job so times are flexible and add your fur baby to my routine!

This industry is about trust, most importantly trust with the pets. Providing the pet with the most comfort is my goal. It can already be stressful having your pawrents be out of town, let alone a new person caring for you. Every pet has a different personality and I am ready to meet those needs, whether that be cuddling on the couch, going for a nice walk, or just laying on the floor and getting used to eachother. Whatever they need, I am happy to provide.

Prior to caring for a pet, knowing their routine, personality, and all things that will maximize their comfort! This can include things as simple as food, medications, and potty breaks or as in depth as past health history (i’m always happy to hear this), triggers on walks, or little quirks they have. More is always better. There is never too much information! Every pet is unique and knowing all of these things helps me provide the best care possible!
A typical day
I love to keep pets happy, active, and comfortable while in my care. One of my favorite things to do with dogs is find new games they love. Sometimes it is a game of “find it” with treats or maybe hide and seek with their favorite toy! I am also happy to treat the pups to a frozen treat in a Kong or a lick mat. Watching their minds work is magical. For cats, there is nothing better than some interactive play with a wand toy or a laser pointer. I also love to give kitties some cat nip (if approved by you!) and see their goofy side come out! But also, I am more than happy to provide that comfort for them, snuggling up on the couch and giving out all the pets!

Pet care experience
Having a fearful dog myself, my main focus is the comfort and safety of your dog. Throughout the past few years, we have been on a reactivity training journey as well as my career as a manager at a dog daycare. These experiences have allowed me to learn lots of information about body language, ways to handle a variety of dogs (size, temperament, breeds, etc), the ways that a dogs health and environment can affect their mindset and so much more. I have worked with all sorts of pets from reactivity and behavior issues to neurological issues or diabetes. My experience not only helps me be a better caregiver, but helps you feel safe with your pets in my care!

What stood out was how closely she paid attention. She noticed something about one of our cats and asked us about it rather than assuming, and she adjusted her approach based on what we told her. She gave them time out to explore and play during her visits and then settled them back in their room, which was exactly the routine they needed. Both cats clearly adored her. She also went beyond the basics without being asked, including helping with the trash and being flexible about scheduling around what worked best for the cats. Communication was excellent throughout and she genuinely seemed to enjoy spending time with them. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her!
