“Owen is reliable, kind and trustworthy. He shows up, gives my dog a good walk regardless of the weather, and responds quickly. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs a walker.”

“We absolutely love, Alexia! She is consistently punctual and genuinely engages with our dog during his walks. What really stands out as how well she manages him, especially when he gets reactive around cars and certain dogs. Alexia took the time to do a meet and greet before our first walk, which made all the difference in ensuring everything went smoothly. We've already booked her for multiple walks and will definitely continue using her services. We feel so fortunate to have found her!”

“We've only been working with Allison for a short while but she's been so great. She's very communicative, responsive, and our pup definitely seems we'll taken care of. We feel like we don't have to worry about her while we're out and about. All the stars!!”

“Always on-time, great communication, flexible, and my dog’s new favorite playmate, Rebecca is professional and comes highly recommended by me…I don’t just trust my puppy-friend-son with anyone.”

“Addy was wonderful with our dog! We love that she has so much experience with dogs of varying breeds and temperaments. She made us feel very at ease and our dog loves her too. We plan to use her a lot in the future.”

“Great sitter, she watched them for 3 days while we were on vacation. They were well taken care of and we did a pre meet beforehand and the dogs seemed to love her. Shes very nice and loves dogs.”

“Aidan took wonderful care of our foster, Tango, who had just recently gotten neutered. I was nervous about leaving him, but after a meet and greet with Aidan, I knew he was in great hands. They were very respectful of the notes I left and were attuned to Tango's needs in his vulnerable state. Their calm and grounding energy was just what Tango needed during his recovery. I would highly recommend Aidan to anyone who is looking for a thoughtful, kind, and reliable person to care for their pets.”

“Taylor was awesome! My dog doesn’t alway do well with strangers (she’s very shy and timid), but she warmed right up to Taylor. I would definitely recommend her as someone to take excellent care of your fur-baby.”

“Emma was great ! She answered every message quickly , checked in each walk and made sure cai was well taken care of. It was a last minute request which she came and met Cai the same week! It was also cold and bad weather but she still made sure he was able to get outside ! Highly reccomend”

About: I have experience working at Huffard Animal Hospital where I was responsible for administering medications, feeding, walking, bathing, and brief grooming during their stay. I have also cared for many families’ animals over the years, some drop by care and others where I stayed overnight for numerous days. Additionally I have experience with exotic animals, including some reptiles! I am comfortable with all dog/cat breeds and personalities, and love connecting with the animals while providing the highest quality of care while owners are away. I currently am home from school for the summer and have a part time internship (Tuesdays & Wednesdays in person) so I am usually available at all hours of the day to provide the necessary care for interested families. At home I have a dog and a cat who are very well behaved and get along well, so crating isn’t necessary. I usually walk my dog around our neighborhood daily because we don’t have a fenced yard. I also love playing with my animals in my free time, because it brings them so much joy and is a good way to get active! I can provide walks, yard time, play time with toys, etc. for my clients based on their animals individual needs/their home environment.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
