About: Growing up my family always had at least one or more pets of various breeds so I have 20+ years of experience around animals. I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, lizards, rabbits, goats, and hedgehogs. Personally, my husband & I have 2 dogs currently, 9 & 10 years old, one having epilepsy & is dependent on medication. I have helped raise/care for/train puppies, kittens, baby rabbits, & baby goats. The only pet I'm not comfortable with is snakes, my little sister has one but I only look at it from 3ft away in its enclosure, haha. I work part time Tu/W/Th 8A - 5P, I do not mind caring for pets those days, however I will be gone all day. Otherwise, I'm available for your pets needs! My personal routine with my pets: My husband helps me care for our pets daily but his schedule is a bit different than mine, so our dogs are let out at least within 4-6 hours those days. Otherwise, we let them out every 2-4 depending on their needs (which they have been trained to lets us know if they need to go sooner). Our medical dog is on a 12 hr medication schedule. I'd prefer to care in my clients home due to one of my dogs having a reactive past, it was quite a transition when we inherited our other dog. If you have a specific routine, I'm ready to follow it to the T! I'm comfortable walking dogs on leash, hanging out/playing with them in a fenced yard, or just chilling inside. As mentioned, I have experience with medically dependent pets. I have an escape artist, so I'm always vigilant of their proximity to me and prepared to run/chase in the event something happens. I can stay at the home with the pets or I can visit throughout the day!
About: Growing up, I have always found it easy and rewarding to take care of animals I have learned to be very attentive and receptive to the needs of furry friends and just find them to be such nice listeners in return 😂 We used to have a house full of dogs and cats and it was more a pleasure, than a chore, to get to interact and take care of them. All that to say, I am completely confident and comfortable in my ability to assist in any way when it comes to our four (or 1,2, and 3) legged pals! I just moved to the Richmond/Midlothian area so I’m looking for some good chances to earn some savings doing what I love!! I have pretty open availability! I don’t sit at my house only for the fact of my two French and English bulldog babies! They tend to get tense and wouldn’t want any discomfort for any other pet! Our dog smiled ear to ear in all the pictures, and our usually shy cats immediately took a shine to her. During her stay, our dog had an upset tummy, brought on by the stress of us leaving. She took amazing care of him, and made sure nothing was seriously wrong. Her regular communication made us feel at ease, knowing our dog was in good hands. Erika took care of our home like it was her own. She noticed ants in our upstairs office, and helped us fix the issue by alerting us and placing ant traps. This really stood out to us, because she didn’t need to solve the problem, but did anyway. She also left our home sparkling. She cleaned her bedding and towels, and left the countertops and living space spotless. Honestly, it looks better in here than when we left on vacation. About: I’ve always had dogs and cats since I was a kiddo. Currently we have two spoiled dogs and two sweet cats. I take my two dogs on a mile or two walk every day. I started my own pet sitting business in my 20’s after working for a small pet company. I also was working FT with adults with disabilities. I have cared for a wide variety of animals even giving a diabetic cat shots and caring for a blind and a deaf dog. I’ve also had the opportunity to take care of rabbits, birds and even a very social ferret. Once I became busy raising my own family, I stopped working FT but continued watching friends’ and neighbors’ animals on the side. Gracie was exceptional! She was very thorough and communicative throughout the day providing us very clear updates. We have two older pets and she was extremely patient and responsive. She took excellent care of our dog who she was primarily there for, but also took the time to check on our cat as well who just needed dinner that day. We can’t recommend her enough and will absolutely be requesting her services again.
Emma was amazing with our home and our pups!! At first I told her she didn’t need to sleep here but with bad weather coming she was more than willing to do so. She came beforehand for a meet and greet to get to know our 4 dogs and asked really good questions. She was very responsive, sent pictures of the dogs throughout her stay, and was very respectful of our home. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!!
