“Erika did an incredible job taking care of our dog, and two cats. She sent updates regularly, and we could tell our fur babies loved her. Our dog smiled ear to ear in all the pictures, and our usually shy cats immediately took a shine to her. During her stay, our dog had an upset tummy, brought on by the stress of us leaving. She took amazing care of him, and made sure nothing was seriously wrong. Her regular communication made us feel at ease, knowing our dog was in good hands. Erika took care of our home like it was her own. She noticed ants in our upstairs office, and helped us fix the issue by alerting us and placing ant traps. This really stood out to us, because she didn’t need to solve the problem, but did anyway. She also left our home sparkling. She cleaned her bedding and towels, and left the countertops and living space spotless. Honestly, it looks better in here than when we left on vacation. We will definitely book with Erika in the future!”

About: Hello! I am a lifelong lover of animals and currently have two dogs. I have been petsitting for a few years now and thought signing up on Rover would be a great idea! I have experience petsitting with both cats and dogs. I currently work part-time at a couple of other jobs. Therefore I am most available weekday mornings to afternoons. I could also do some weekday evenings. The only times I am unavailable are Mondays from 10 to 11am, Wednesdays from 9am to 12pm, and most weekend evenings. Although I do not offer pet care in my own home, I can guarantee that I am a responsible person who is very good with gaining the trust of animals. My family has always had a dog in the house, therefore I am able to read their body language well.

“Hannah was a wonderful and caring pet sitter/house sitter. We have a much older dog that requires some medical needs and Hannah put us at ease that he would be cared for while we were away. Hannah communicated multiple times a day, sent pictures and asked questions if she was concerned about our dog's behavior. Hannah was very respectful of our home while she stayed. We were able to enjoy time away thanks to Hannah's care of our dog. We will definitely rebook with Hannah!”

About: Growing up my family always had at least one or more pets of various breeds so I have 20+ years of experience around animals. I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, lizards, rabbits, goats, and hedgehogs. Personally, my husband & I have 2 dogs currently, 9 & 10 years old, one having epilepsy & is dependent on medication. I have helped raise/care for/train puppies, kittens, baby rabbits, & baby goats. The only pet I'm not comfortable with is snakes, my little sister has one but I only look at it from 3ft away in its enclosure, haha. I work part time Tu/W/Th 8A - 5P, I do not mind caring for pets those days, however I will be gone all day. Otherwise, I'm available for your pets needs! My personal routine with my pets: My husband helps me care for our pets daily but his schedule is a bit different than mine, so our dogs are let out at least within 4-6 hours those days. Otherwise, we let them out every 2-4 depending on their needs (which they have been trained to lets us know if they need to go sooner). Our medical dog is on a 12 hr medication schedule. I'd prefer to care in my clients home due to one of my dogs having a reactive past, it was quite a transition when we inherited our other dog. If you have a specific routine, I'm ready to follow it to the T! I'm comfortable walking dogs on leash, hanging out/playing with them in a fenced yard, or just chilling inside. As mentioned, I have experience with medically dependent pets. I have an escape artist, so I'm always vigilant of their proximity to me and prepared to run/chase in the event something happens. I can stay at the home with the pets or I can visit throughout the day!

About: My love for animals started early — when my family adopted our dog during my third-grade year, I took on real responsibility right away, handling his feedings and nightly walks. That hands-on care grew into a genuine passion that has only deepened over the years. Beyond dogs, I've developed experience with a range of animals, including goats, sheep, pigs, and horses, giving me a well-rounded foundation for handling pets of all personalities and needs. I'm currently studying biology and wildlife conservation at William & Mary, so animal welfare isn't just something I care about — it's what I've built my academic life around. I connect quickly with animals, take their comfort seriously, and will treat every pet in my care with the same patience and attentiveness I'd want for my own. You can feel confident leaving your furry family member in good hands! I'm home for the summer from college and have a very flexible schedule, making me available for bookings on short notice. I may be taking on part-time work as the summer progresses, but I'll always keep my Rover calendar up to date so you know exactly when I'm available. Your instructions are my playbook — I follow them closely and don't cut corners, whether it's feeding schedules, medication routines, or house rules for your pet. I'm naturally observant and attentive, so I stay tuned in to your pet's behavior and body language throughout every visit, picking up on cues that they might need something before it becomes an issue. Your pet's comfort and safety in their own environment is always the priority.

“Helena was absolutely AMAZING!!! This was our first time using Rover and the first time we left our dog overnight. She sent us pictures and updates throughout the time we were gone, showing just how relaxed and happy our dog was in her care. When he whined about sleeping in his crate, she kindly let him share the bed with her (with our approval, of course!). He even seemed disappointed when we came home 😉. We cannot recommend Helena more highly!!”

About: I personally own 8 pets, including chinchillas, lizards, cats, and multiple dogs, three Great Danes and two French Bulldogs, so I’m very comfortable handling everything from giant breeds to smaller, more sensitive dogs! I’m also experienced in managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I always follow your pet’s specific care instructions closely. I prioritize making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I work a consistent weekday schedule, with a later start on Tuesdays, which gives me some extra daytime flexibility. I’m available for pet care before 9 AM, after 5 PM, and fully on weekends, and I can also use my lunch breaks for quick check-ins or walks. I care for pets based on their individual routines to keep them happy and stress-free. During drop-ins and house sitting, I follow your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime. I usually walk my own dogs 0.5–1 mile morning and evening, but I always adjust based on what your pet is used to and comfortable with! I always make sure your pet gets plenty of attention and care while keeping your home clean and respected. I can also send regular updates as well as pictures so you can feel at ease while you’re away!
