Alyssia was great! She learned all my pup’s training commands and brought her back exhausted! This was my first Rover but it won’t be last.

Julia was wonderful with our dogs, and her communication was excellent throughout the entire process. She was incredibly patient, quickly bonded with them, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our pets. We highly recommend Julia and would gladly have her care for our dogs again! Shannon

About: Hi pet parents! My name is Becca, and I have been pet-sitting for 8 years. Throughout that experience, many pet parents of varying ages have entrusted me with their furry children. I adore caring for animals, as I have a sweet orange cat of my own! I promise that I will give the same care and love to your pet that I give to my own little one. I currently work part time, and I am usually off at the critical times when I would need to drop in to feed your pet! I am always able to adjust my schedule to fit the times you will need me, especially in advance. The biggest thing for me when caring for my pets as well as your pet is to prioritize quality time with them. In addition to food of course. I make sure to spend as much time with my pets as I can, as they definitely notice when you're not interested in spending time with them. "Most importantly, I will try my best to make sure your pet is comfortable and not stressed. Trust between myself and my clients and their pets is essential!

About: I have grown up with dogs for my entire life and I now have a cat of my own. I have taken care of friends and families animals in the past and I am very reliable, caring, and friendly. Animals bring me so much joy and I treat any animal as if it were my own. I am working in a salon four days out of the week but I will be available in the mornings and the evenings of any day to provide attention to your pet. Given that I have a cat of my own, I know how angry and hurt I would be if I put her in the care of someone else and she was neglected. With that being said, you can trust that I will not put you in that position! Animals are innocent and unable to communicate their needs. Not only will I provide the essentials, I will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is happy and comfortable!

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was around 12. I absolutely love taking dogs on walks or if they love a car ride! I am a very attentive listener, and will take care of any dog to the highest expectation. I will always sit around and play with them and keep them entertained for a long time! Since I am in college now, I will let you know if I am available due to my academic and sorority schedule! 🙂 I am free always during this summer, so I can take care of any pet during any time. I do leave for Bama in August, but will love to continue walking and taking care of of dogs in Tuscaloosa! In your home, I will always make sure your dog is secured within the yard, on a leash, in a crate if needed, or being around them in the house! Walking them, I will always make sure they have a leash on and near me at all times. While taking care of them, I can always send updates and cute pictures!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all different sizes and personalities throughout my life, especially the last 6 years. Back home I have three dogs, including 2 Labrador retrievers and a chihuahua mix rescue. I used to dog sit for my neighbors every few months, typically for a week at a time. Now that I am at college at UA, I miss constantly being around dogs and I hope to fill that missing piece through Rover! I am great about exercising, feeding on time, and potty breaks. If you have any more questions feel free to ask! I’m currently working part-time, but will have plenty of time to check in on your pups :) My schedule is usually completely free during the day up until 4pm. I also get breaks at work and can stop in to let your furbaby out! I currently live in a spacious apartment with two of my best friends that also love dogs. We have a fenced-in dog park right next to our unit! It takes less than a minute walk from my door to the park.

About: Since I was little, I was around animals all the time. My mom‘s cat lady gene was very strong, because I have six very special cats myself: Ruby (an orange tabby with three legs), Freya (a long-haired dilute torbie), Luna (a silly calico), Phoebe (a tortie with white socks), Callisto (a gray teddybear who came to us as a yard stray) and Poe (void cat who was born in our house). Although I do not want the commitment of adding a dog to the mix full-time, I also love taking care and playing with all puppers! I work full-time during the week, but I have a flexible work times. I can schedule walks and check-ups early in the mornings and starting after 5 pm in the afternoon. I am available most weekends, both Saturday and Sunday. I will familiarize myself with your space and where your pets are allowed. It is important to me to understand if your pet will try to test limits and rules with me that might apply in your home. Both cats and dogs react differently to strangers, so it is important for me to not force them to interact if they want their space.

About: 🥰Bring your baby for their "fur-cation" where the fun & relaxation is!😍🐶 Having to get a sitter, drop-in visit or walks scheduled for your baby can be a stressor- being away from your baby & finding your person. Well you have found your person here. I love furbabies & will take great care of your baby. 🐶♥️ I have furkids myself & my house is setup with furbabies & safety in mind. 🥰 I have furbaby beds in several rooms, gates between doorways so in case someone wants to be alone, I can accommodate, or if your baby needs time to warm up to a new place, thats another reason to have gates, for them to meet & greet at their own pace, not rushed, bc they all have their own personalities & preferences. I just don't like the idea of having to stay in kennels, like at the vet! Thats what brought me to Rover as a client, now a sitter myself. I have a playroom for furbaby friends with plenty of toys, beds & a fenced in backyard for supervised potty & play! On pretty days we spend as much time outside as we can. We also have elevated beds outside, 2 little pup-pools, large grassy area & covered backporch with ceiling fans, patio umbrella & also a water misting fan to beat the heat! (Pup cups too!)🥰 My babies love everyone, but I know not everyone else's pups love the same things. Its important for them all feel safe & comfortable. I have kennels if needed, which we rarely use, with a spare room if needed. So if one wants to nap quietly & another wants to run & play, its no problem at all. My senior pup is 11 & will play some but mostly likes to lounge & watch the others; my twins are almost 2 & will play off & on all day, so your baby will have a great time! *I can do boarding in my home, sitter service, stop by for drop-in visit & feed/water, potty & play, or stop by & take them for a walk. I can stop by for kitty care, but cant board Ms/Mr Kitty at my house, sorry. *Ater hours pickup/drop off is no problem. My furkids are neutered/ spayed, fully vaccinated & get monthly heartworm/hookwork flea/tick prevention 💊 Prevention & good health is very important to me, as I would hope yours is taken care of also. Your baby is in good hands here, & will have plenty of playtime & treats; OR if we just want to nap, we love that too! 😊 ✨️Message me & let me know what days/times you need. Lots of love to go around.🥰 ***FIRST TIME CLIENTS: Safety for all in important. We can set up a quick meet & greet. That way, I can get better acquainted with your baby & you, and so your baby isn't meeting me as a stranger on our first day of stay, but I understand sometimes its not an option for whatever reason, & thats okay. We will be glad to have you! **We will meet in a Public/Safe place. Thanks & hope to see you & your babies soon! 🥰 I take care of furkids a little more "extra" than many furparents, I've been told! But to me that's a compliment! Bc being furbaby lover, I believe in real loving care, not just meeting basic needs. 🐕 🐈 🦮 COME STAY & PLAY!🥰🐶❤️ I work locally & have recent changes in my schedule which gives me more availability. I also have my own precious furbabies at home, so it's not a new task. I would manage the same way I do for my own. So let me know what you need & I will get you on my calendar! And Thank you for inquiring with me. And much thanks to my current Regulars & for all the wonderful comments & reviews! I appreciate you all so much & I'm always here, so book early, as I only keep a few babies at a time, for adequate, attentive care! I have a treated fenced in back yard for our Supervised play & potty & security cameras in & outside my home for safety. Update: Please ensure your furbabies are up to date on vaccines. Cameras on and within property for safety. *Misc info: I am a lifelong local to the area, and have a complete background attached to my profile & also have updated Government Clearance. So rest assured, your baby is safe with me. I love them, bc they are the epitome of unconditional love, & need to show that back to them all.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 4 years! I have three goldens of my own and understand how they can can be like family! 🫶🏼 I would be so excited to take care of your pets while you are away! I am also an AKC affiliated dog breeder of two years! I a college student who does online school so I’m available to care for your pets 3-4 times a day if desired. I usually am free any time of the day to come take your dog for a walk, check on them, or stay over night! I do live in a mobile home with three Goldens. The downside is I do not have a fenced in back yard, but the upside is I’m with them 16-24 hours of the day until their owners arrive back home! If a client ask me to stay at their home I usually follow their instructions with how many times they want me to come and if they want me to stay overnight! 🫶🏼

About: I have stayed in homes for several days caring for three dogs, ensuring they received attention, exercise, and routine care. I’ve also provided traditional pet sitting services, checking in on dogs, feeding them, and taking them for walks. I am extremely detail-oriented and committed to following all instructions exactly as given to ensure pets remain comfortable, safe, and happy whether they are in their home environment or mine. I am a college student home for the summer and I am working a part time job 20 hours per week at Lake Forest Racquet Club. Therefore, I have a very flexible schedule as I usually only work from 7 A.M. to 12 P.M. four days a week. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, structure, and stimulation. In a client’s home, I strictly follow all instructions and respect their space while maintaining a calm and clean environment for the pet. In my own home, I ensure pets receive plenty of attention, mental stimulation, and physical activity through regular walks and playtime. I truly strive to create a comfortable setting where pets feel secure and cared for at all times!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Wood Villas. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
