We had a beach trip that kinda came out of nowhere with a 10~ week old puppy that also jumped in our lives unexpectedly and we needed somewhere for him to stay while we were gone! I had never used Rover before but I knew our puppy, Bubba, was not old enough to stay at a boarding facility so I thought I would try it out. Bubba had a blast and I always looked forward to the videos Whitney would send me of him playing with her sweet dog, Pearl! For anyone that has a young puppy, I highly recommend Whitney cause if he had been at a boarding facility he wouldn’t have been able to play and get all his puppy energy out!”

When we arrived for Bailey’s stay, Mason and Morgan had it planned very carefully for a safe introduction to another dog staying with them and their dog, Tug. “Jennifer and Irvin were very responsive and detailed in their daily reports. Somehow, they got such good pictures of my cat, who has a 6th sense for when someone is trying to get a picture of her. From the pictures, it looks like my old lady had a wonderful time with them, and she was happy as a clam when I got home. Somewhat related - they initially offered to do some small chores around the house to let my cat get used to their presence. My cat is pretty sociable, so I said that wouldn't be necessary. However, when I came back from my work-related trip, I found that the sink was cleaned, my bed made, and the floors swept. I thought this was such a thoughtful, kind thing to do, and I can't say how much it meant as a grad student who has spent the last few months preparing (and stressing) for this trip and doesn't have family or a large support network in town since finishing undergrad. The fact that they went out of their way to do these extra things for a stranger really warms my heart and further confirms in my mind that my cat was in good hands.”

Well you have found your person here. I love furbabies & will take great care of your baby. 🐶♥️ To me they are our babies, & like us, they each have their own likes, dislikes, quirks & personalities. I have furkids myself & my house is setup with furbabies & safety in mind. 🥰 I have furbaby beds in several rooms, gates between doorways so in case someone wants to be alone, I can accommodate, or if your baby needs time to warm up to a new place, thats another reason to have gates, for them to meet & greet at their own pace, not rushed. I just don't like the idea of having to stay in kennels, like at the vet! Thats what brought me to Rover as a client, now a sitter myself. I have a playroom for furbaby friends with plenty of toys, beds & a fenced in backyard for supervised potty & play! On pretty days we spend as much time outside as we can. We also have elevated beds outside, 2 little pup-pools, large grassy area & covered backporch with fan, patio umbrella & also a water misting fan to beat the heat! Thats a real treat! (Pup cups too!)🥰 My babies love everyone, but I know not everyone else's pups love the same things. Its important for them all feel safe & comfortable. I have kennels if needed, which we rarely use, with a spare room if needed. So if one wants to nap quietly & another wants to run & play, its no problem at all. My senior pup is 10 & will play some but mostly likes to lounge & watch the others; my twins are almost 2 & will play off & on all day, so your baby will have a great time! *I can do boarding in my home, sitter service, stop by for drop-in visit & feed/water, potty & play, or stop by & take them for a walk. I can stop by for kitty care, but cant board Ms/Mr Kitty at my house, sorry. *Ater hours pickup/drop off is no problem. My furkids are neutered/ spayed, fully vaccinated & get monthly heartworm/hookwork flea/tick prevention 💊 Prevention & good health is very important to me, as I would hope yours is taken care of also. Your baby is in good hands here, & will have plenty of playtime & treats; OR if we just want to nap, we love that too! 😊 ✨️Message me & let me know what days/times you need. About: I got my first family dog at the age of 12 and he was a 100 pound chocolate Labrador named Max. When I moved to Germany, I was not allowed to take him so he currently lives with my brother. After moving back to the US, I got my own toy poodle at the age of 16 named Eymber and was completely responsible for her. Once I moved to college, I got her a puppy named Koko and they absolutely love eachother. Eymber is now 5 years old and koko is 1. Occasionally, I stop by the Tuscaloosa animal shelter to volunteer and I love being the reason a pup was happy that day. I have furkids myself & my house is setup with furbabies & safety in mind. 🥰 I have furbaby beds in several rooms, gates between doorways so in case someone wants to be alone, I can accommodate, or if your baby needs time to warm up to a new place, thats another reason to have gates, for them to meet & greet at their own pace, not rushed. I just don't like the idea of having to stay in kennels, like at the vet! Thats what brought me to Rover as a client, now a sitter myself. I have a playroom for furbaby friends with plenty of toys, beds & a fenced in backyard for supervised potty & play! On pretty days we spend as much time outside as we can. We also have elevated beds outside, 2 little pup-pools, large grassy area & covered backporch with fan, patio umbrella & also a water misting fan to beat the heat! Thats a real treat! (Pup cups too!)🥰 My babies love everyone, but I know not everyone else's pups love the same things. Its important for them all feel safe & comfortable. I have kennels if needed, which we rarely use, with a spare room if needed. So if one wants to nap quietly & another wants to run & play, its no problem at all. My senior pup is 10 & will play some but mostly likes to lounge & watch the others; my twins are almost 2 & will play off & on all day, so your baby will have a great time! *I can do boarding in my home, sitter service, stop by for drop-in visit & feed/water, potty & play, or stop by & take them for a walk. I can stop by for kitty care, but cant board Ms/Mr Kitty at my house, sorry. *Ater hours pickup/drop off is no problem. My furkids are neutered/ spayed, fully vaccinated & get monthly heartworm/hookwork flea/tick prevention 💊 Prevention & good health is very important to me, as I would hope yours is taken care of also. Your baby is in good hands here, & will have plenty of playtime & treats; OR if we just want to nap, we love that too! 😊 ✨️Message me & let me know what days/times you need. About: I have 10+ years of personal experience caring for my own dog, have gained experience dog sitting for friends, family, and members of my church community this past year. As a graduate student at the University of Alabama training to become a therapist, I bring patience, attentiveness, and a genuine love for connection into the way I care for pets. I see some clients virtually on Mondays, Fridays, and certain Saturdays, which I can do from your home while pet sitting. My classes are on Monday and Tuesday mornings, and I see in-person clients between 4–7pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. I have some weekly meetings that vary in times as well, but usually fall in-between 1 and 3pm. That leaves me with plenty of free time in the mornings, afternoons before 4pm, and evenings after 7pm. About: I’ve helped teach my dogs at home and love on older dogs. I volunteer at the shelter all the time. I have had animals ever since I was little. I have a part time job and can work this in however needed! Whether it’s stopping by or staying around, I am willing to work with you! About: Since I was little, I was around animals all the time. My mom‘s cat lady gene was very strong, because I have six very special cats myself: Ruby (an orange tabby with three legs), Freya (a long-haired dilute torbie), Luna (a silly calico), Phoebe (a tortie with white socks), Callisto (a gray teddybear who came to us as a yard stray) and Poe (void cat who was born in our house). About: I am super flexible and comfortable with dog care. I currently have an energetic young german shepherd so I understand the importance of dogs getting lots of exercise so that they can relax throughout the day. The main breeds I have experience with are Labs/Retrievers, German Shepherds, Beagles, Mixed Breed herding dogs, and Horses! I understand when dogs want to play and when they need their own space to relax. I currently have a german shepherd that I exercise twice a day either by walking, hiking, fetching or chasing hose water. Typically, I do one of these activities in the morning and one in the evening. My dog is free fed throughout the day, but I am familiar with dogs that prefer the routine of scheduled feeding or don't have self control, so I am comfortable following the routine that the dog is used to. I have a great walkable neighborhood, but I am very familiar with great places to walk and hike with dogs throughout the city. I am a grad student with lots of flexibility so my schedule is different from week to week, during the summer I will have lots of time each day to spend with your pup, but during the year I will provide excersize but less one-on-one time. I have a fenced in yard and a 1900 square foot home with hard surfaced floors. I don't allow my dogs on furniture, but if your dog is used to it, that is not currently a concern. My fences are sturdy and chain link, and about four feet tall. I prefer dogs that are crate trained overnight, and am happy to provide my own crates for them to sleep in. If they are not, I would happy to set up a play pen environment for them to be in!
