“Heather was very quick to respond when I was looking for a dog sitter. She is very responsive and always kept me updated! My dog had a little upset stomach and she did give him some pumpkin puree :) I would definitely rebook with Heather and highly recommend!!”

“I felt very comfortable, safe, and secure with my dog Tubbs in Abbie’s care. She has great communication, is kind and caring, and Tubbs was in the best mood when I picked him up (I’m not certain he wanted to leave!). Highly recommend, will definitely rebook!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for Riggs than Ric! He was so kind and loving towards our old dog. He had him outside a ton, gave him great walks, followed our specific food instructions perfectly, and just genuinely obviously cared about Riggs being safe and comfortable. He was also super communicative during Riggs’ whole stay, and flexible with drop off and pick up times. I highly recommend Ric!”

“Susan is the best! This is the second time we left our dogs in Susan’s care and we felt such peace of mind while we were away. We trust her judgment and can tell that she’s a thoughtful caretaker. Susan was a great communicator and kept us updated while we were away. We couldn’t ask for a better person to watch our dogs. Thank you Susan!”

“Allison was very patient with our dog when he was showing signs of stress. She showed a lot of care and kept finding ways to help him acclimate. It was great that she also has a fenced in yard for lots of free time outside.”

“Communication and scheduling with Christy was quite easy. Toffee only stayed with Christy and Steve for one night but I could tell she was well taken care of. Christy sent us pictures of toffee and she seemed quite content. We’re very happy that we found Christy for future getaways.”

“Our pups recently had their second overnight with Meredith. She provides very honest feedback about their stays- the fact is, our pups would rather be with us than away from us. But we know they are safe and well cared for with Meredith. She is kind and consistent with them and we know they will settle in over time. We are very happy to have Meredith care for our dogs.”

“I’m am so glad we found you! My baby had so much fun with your family. She slept the whole night, which is not the usual for her. She usually wakes me up at 3/4 in the morning to play before I go to work. I would definitely recommend Michelle!”

About: Hi! I’m Mikaela, and I’ve had dogs since I was a baby. I’ve had two family dogs (one beagle and one pitbull mix), and currently have one lovable mutt, Zeva. We love spending our free time on walks around the city, in the mountains, and anywhere we can find a good stick for Zeva to carry around. I’m a teacher, but my schedule allows me to be flexible. I have a 30 minute commute, so having a schedule works best to plan! I have a private yard space that I share with one neighbor. Anytime my dog goes outside (on a lead, so everyone’s comfortable), I’m right there with her.
About: I have had dogs all of my life until recently when our chocolate lab passed away. We had her from the time she was a puppy until just after her 13th birthday. I have always had a love for dogs and at this time, our home feels empty without our love by our sides. I grew up watching other people's dogs, checking in when friends were out of town or staying overnight to keep them company. I have cared for many breeds of dogs from dachshunds, pitbulls and spaniels to mixed breeds, labs and great danes. All dogs are loved in our home. I trained my own dog and she was an amazing dog to take into the woods and to the lake. I work full time so from the time of dropping our kids off for school in the morning until the pick up in the afternoon, your dog would be in our home without a human. I do occasionally work from home so if this is something you would prefer and depending on my work duties, I could arrange for more contact during the day. I have an active family so depending on how your dog meshes with our family, I would be potentially bringing them to youth sports events if the kids sports are in season. My home is two floors and sits on a wide open, unfenced, hillside. I also have many acres of woods behind the home, that I often go for walks in. I live at the end of a dead end road and our neighbors are near however, not easy to see from the home. There is ample space for your dog to roam or go on many leashed adventures with us.
“Katherine boarded my papillion Roscoe this past weekend, and we were extremely happy with her. He is a rescue who is terribly afraid around strangers, but in a few short hours she had broken through and made a friend. The pictures show that he had a great stay with her, including some boogie boarding, which he loves. Katherine is a sweetheart, and I'm sure anyone who boarded their dog with her will not be disappointed.”

“Hailey was fantastic with our pups. She sent us pictures and updates for them to help set our minds at ease. There was plenty of room outside for our dogs to run and play. When we picked up our dogs, they were happy and playful. They were very clearly well taken care of. We will definitely use Hailey again.”

“Nora took WONDERFUL care of our two cats Robin and Stu. Frequent updates, direct & thorough communication, and most of all, in the pictures we could tell that they were super happy while under her care :). Planning 100% to reach out to Nora again when we need pet sitting.”

“Shannon & Nick took such good care of my dog Bo while I was out of town. I loved the daily updates and pictures they sent me which made it a little easier to be away without him. I also appreciated their flexibility with my travel schedule for drop off and pick up times. I would highly recommend them!”

About: I have been caring for pets for 15 years and I absolutely adore all animals. I will make sure your pet is comfortable, happy, and given lots of attention. I always pamper and spoil all animals. I pay close attention to specific diets, restrictions, etc to make your pup/cat and you as happy as can be. I have numerous references and would be glad to give them to you. I am 29 years old and I recently moved to Lebanon NH from Kansas City. Caring for animals is what makes me happy and I would love to care for your beloved pet. If you have any questions feel free to reach out. In the meantime, I hope you will think of me when you need any service for your pet. I have all the time to spend with your pet, and look forward to doing so! My side gig I do aside from caring for pets is that I make dog treats and cakes! I often take dogs out for walks and scoop the litter daily. I make sure food and water is full and address any sort of restriction and exact times to feed and let out pets.
About: Hi my name is Sean. I recently graduated from RIT with a BFA in illustration. I love all animals and currently have a lot of flexibility to care for your pets while I am working from home. I grew up with two labradoodles and I have also cared for friends' animals while they have been away. One of my dogs has Addison's disease, so I am familiar with giving medication to pets. Spending time with animals brings me joy and does not seem like work - I enjoy playing with your animals, going on walks and I give a great belly rub! I am extremely responsible and will love your animals like my own...you might also find some sketches of your pet when you return home. I am an artist that is currently working from home in Quechee. I am extremely flexible and am available during the week and on weekends. I make my own hours so can work around your schedule. I live with my parents and two friendly labradoodles ages 8 and 12. I could board a dog in my home if he/she gets along well with other dogs and is house-trained. I prefer to care for your animals in your own home: I can do drop-in visits, walks and daytime or overnight house-sitting.
“This is the first time we used Rover and I was a nervous dog mom for sure! One of the things that I appreciated the most was every time I emailed Leilani, she would get back to me right away. She provided pictures and updates and took great care of our senior golden and our puppy, who had just had surgery a week before his stay with her. Thank you Leilani!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wilmot
Althea is our absolute favorite sitter (and our dog's!) Our boy Hugo is always excited to head over there and enjoys the company of other dogs she is boarding/doing daycare for. The daily walk to the lake, the open space to romp, the pictures and updates all make Althea well-worth it. She is SO professional and really works to ensure each dog's comfort.

I have never been able to travel without my husky mix because of his high anxiety, until we met Greta! We received tons of pictures of him, napping, cuddling with the family, and going out on three amazing walks a day. It’s a beautiful quiet location and Greta is a true dog person. I’m planning all my trips around her in the future.

Very happy with first time boarding my dog with Althea. She took the time to learn about my dog’s needs and sent lots of pics so I could see my dog way enjoying herself. She spent time with my dog learning her personality and playing 1:1 with her. Also gave good feedback on her observations of my dog during her stay.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
