“Louisa was absolutely wonderful! On our trip up to Ashland, we were hit with wildfires in the neighboring area and the air quality was horrible. Our original arrangements for our dog fell through and I didn't feel comfortable leaving my dog alone in a kennel outdoors for a couple of hours at our air bnb, but thankfully there was Louisa. My dog can be a bit anxious around other dogs she doesn't know. She growled a bit at Louisa's puppy when we arrived for our meet and greet and I was worried that behavior may continue. Louisa was very reassuring and kept us posted on our dogs behavior and well being. She sent photos through out the day and I was so happy to have someone so trusting & responsive take care of our dog while we were out of town. Thank you so much Louisa!”

About: Dogs are part of the family! I grew up with animals and have always taken our responsibility to pets seriously. I'm trained as a professional pet nutrition advocate and have experience not just feeding all the pets but truly healing thru nutrition with everything from making whole foods and supplements, to designing recipes and diets, including the treats, to training and socializing dogs of all ages and backgrounds. I've built my schedule around pet care including making the foods and minimum 2 walks a day. I'm happy to make time for the pets anytime! Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule because animals are already a central part of my daily life. I work from home and plan my days around feeding schedules, walks, medications, enrichment, and individualized care. This flexibility allows me to be reliable, responsive, and fully present for each pet. I have 2 600+ feet plus areas for dogs to run and play. We have a building for them to sleep cozy, clean and safe.

About: I have owned and cared for pets my entire life. I'm recently retired from a long career as a professional equestrian and horse trainer, and I'm excited to begin this journey of offering pet care services to the community! I have experience with all types and ages of pets ... from very young to very senior. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, and basic first aid. My lifestyle is active, and I'm happy to provide whatever exercise that your pet needs, whether that is a long trail hike, or simply walks around the neighborhood. And lots of love and snuggles of course :) I also have extensive horse experience, and limited experience with other livestock, and I'm happy to provide services for those animals as well. I currently work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work around whatever your pet care needs are. I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I can get to some of the further out Nevada County destinations no problem. I pride myself on being punctual, organized and reliable, and you can rest assured that your pet(s) and home will receive attentive and loving care. I am happy to take care of any additional tasks that you might need around your home while you're away (checking mail, taking out trash, watering plants/garden, etc. )

About: Offering a safe home away from home, compassionate care, and peace of mind for pet owners is something that all pet sitters should be offering. I go far beyond this standard providing both care and training. Since I was a child, dogs and cats have gravitated toward me and I've always enjoyed their companionship; you can almost always find me with at least one dogs around. It's never been an unruly mass of teeth and paws though; I've always taken the time to teach my furry friends to walk on leash, to have immediate recall, to be polite in kitchen, and to use their voices kindly. I do the same with every animal that I am given care of, gently coaching them to be civil, furry companions while showering them with love. I am currently working from home and set my own schedule. I have a set daily morning and evening walk which your pup(s) will join. During the day, you pup(s) will have company of two dogs, three cats and plenty of pets from me. On weekends we go on adventure hikes. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company during the day. I have crates, leashes, grooming tools and home made dog beds for all pet care needs.

About: I grew up around dogs of all sizes and breeds, and have always, always loved dogs! I volunteered at the SPCA for 2 years: walking and caring for dogs in the adoption centers. I work at home, so I have ultimate flexibility during work weeks and weekends. I am happy to take dogs on as many walks/runs/breaks as needed. I am in good shape, and I can handle larger and more energetic breeds. My neighborhood is dog-friendly with plenty of streets and dirt trails to the lake to walk or run on. Dogs are of course allowed inside and can hang out with me all day. I have experience working with dogs with medical conditions and disabilities. Our house is currently dog-free so I have extra time to give your dog(s) extra love.

About: As a cattle dog owner, I'd like to think I have a special set of skills for crazy babies. I have always had rescues and fosters in my home. I have been fortunate to work with foster pets from the Caribbean and Mexico as well, each of these often came with health issues. I have experience with pregnant dogs and cats as well! If you are interested in having your pet stay over, know I have two very friendly dogs. They have both experienced having guests and foster pets in the house as well. Tolerant and obedient. I have multiple rooms and baby gates for separation and quiet time. In general, I am a very active and outdoorsy person! So i am happy to take the pets out to the trails or the lake! I live on 10 quiet acres with a fenced yard. There is ample space to play outside or be kept safe and warm inside. I am fortunate to work from home. I have the ability to provide care all day and night for your pet! I walk each morning and evening and have the option to take your pet out for a walk or a play on the property in both fenced and unfenced areas. I have an older dog who is very arthritic so I am used to caring for the elderly animals as well. Pets in my home have their own room if needed. I have plenty of space for crates. I have a large gated deck and live on 10 acres on a quiet road. My own pets walk daily with me along my road which works well for easy elder dog walks as it is shady even in the summer. It also can provide great training ground as there is little traffic. For the high energy babies, we can play fetch or take to the trails nearby. I have always had rescue pitties so I am comfortable with big cuddly babies. I adopted a cattle dog pup who had clinical anxiety which has taught me how to care for highly intelligent, high energy dogs as well. Treats, love, and confidence makes for a happy dog!

About: I have been doing Rover for over a year now and have helped a number of happy clients. I am active and can run higher energy, working dogs. I am based in the Sacramento area. My availability varies based on my work schedule so the best way to schedule is to message me. Your dog(s) will get plenty of attention and care while I am either sitting, walking or seeing them for a drop-in visit. I can take your dog on adventures such as hikes, trips to the dog park or on long runs if your dog needs extra exercise. About: I’ve always had pets and cared/trained from puppies to disabled elders who need medication. I even produce a local dog parade annually. Must love dogs! I have a flexible schedule making it easy to accommodate others. I have reliable transportation for getting to homes and am in excellent health so no excuse…. I live on 24 acres, some fenced. My cats are indoor/outdoor and are trained to come in at night. They are literbox trained. My dogs stay in the house when we leave and get regular vet care. At your home: caution opening doors, assure leashes attached properly, and yard secure, administer meds according to vet orders. Feed per owner directions (you have them sing for dinner, I will too), refresh water, photograph/video each encounter to share with owner at visit, clean up pet messes, sit on floor and play, make sure home is securely locked when leaving
