“C'Aundra stayed with our pup for a second time, and we're so glad she did! We are so appreciative of her flexibility and support for Wynnie, who was recently injured and needed some additional care including medication and leashed potty/outside time.”
“Thankyou sooo much again harbor loved you! Nisa was able to provide us so much comfort in leaving our brand new adopted pup for the day !! Thankyou so much for coming and spending time with her and sending us pics throughout the day :)”

“We happily rebooked with Emily after she took such great care of our dog the last time we went out of town! This time was no different- she is very attentive to our dog’s schedule and always makes sure she gets lots of love and playtime. We will definitely be repeat customers!”

“UNBELIEVABLE!! Faith was amazing I only gave her a couple days notice and she was able to do it. She sent pictures of my cat and dog every day and when I got home, my house was cleaner than when I left it”

“Linda took great care of our dog and cat while we were on vacation. She met with us beforehand to ease our anxious dog, and communication was great throughout. Highly recommend and will definitely hire again.”

About: I am a registered veterinary technician so rest assured your pets are in caring and experienced hands with me! I treat each home I enter like my own and aim to leave it better than I found it. There's no sugarcoating it.. I'm a busy bee who works full time and has 2 kids, but rest assured I don't take on more than I can handle. I always discuss your pet's needs and schedules with you before accepting a job. I understand that it is not easy leaving your pets in the care of someone else, let alone someone you've just met! Your pets will get the utmost care with me by getting all the snuggles, all the treats, all the fetch/tug of war, or... all the leaving them the heck alone if *that's* more what they're in to. I am also comfortable giving a variety of medications and dog and cat CPR certified.
“Mandy did great under challenging circumstances. This was our first time using a sitter since getting the dog from the Humane Society a year ago, and the dog took us by surprise with stranger anxiety - not wanting to be touched or approached and urine accidents. I take the blame - In hindsight I should have arranged trial stay(s) many months in advance of our weeklong trip, not just a meet and greet a week in advance. Mandy handled it well. She persevered despite the accidents and communicated candidly with me about how the dog was reacting and problem-solved with me. She figured out how to let the dog out without approaching it, and kept both the dog and cat fed and watered, though walks were not possible. She even came to let the dog out over lunch on weekdays, which was above and beyond our original agreement. The cat loved Mandy - I thought the cat would be the one wary of strangers, and she let Mandy pet her by mid-week. Mandy was very tidy and conscientious and left the house in great condition. She even set out my bait when ants started coming in. Huge appreciation to Mandy.”

“Kary was amazing! Our two dogs absolutely adored her!! She gave them a ton of exercise, took them on long walks, and they got plenty of cuddle time too. I really appreciated the pictures she sent and how she kept me up to date on how they were doing. It's never easy to be away from pets when they're truly your family, but Kary made me feel extremely comfortable and confident that they were in great hands. 12/10 I would recommend her to any pet parent. I'm absolutely coming to Kary first if and when we need a sitter again.”

“Ingrid is amazing! She she took the time to meet our boys so that they would be comfortable around her. She's has great communication and made sure she understandstood the needs of our boys. She went above and beyond to take care of our dogs and our home. She actually left our home in better condition than when she arrived. She really loved our boys and they really enjoyed being with her. We highly recommend Ingrid as a sitter, she really is the best!”

“Kyelene got a 5 star rating from our household! The girls, (2 dogs and a cat) were in very good hands. After meeting Kyelene, I knew our dogs would be in very good hands. We got pictures sent to us which was nice. The house was as clean as I left it which I appreciated. I would highly recommend Kyelene for your houesitting/dogsitting needs.”

“Misty took such phenomenal care of our pets! She sent regular updates and pics that showed the pets both happy and being themselves, and she spent lots of time with them every day. When we arrived home, both our pets were calm, well fed, and happy. I could tell that she had done a great job not just meeting all their needs but also giving them affection and helping them feel safe while we were traveling. So thankful that we were able to leave our pets in such good hands!”

About: I learned everything I know about pet-care at the vet I worked with many years ago. There my love and passion for animal…especially dogs… grew. It was also there that I learned cats are not my favorite. 🥴 Though I learned a lot from my time working at the vet, I realized that seeing animals suffering or in pain was not something I could do on a daily basis. That realization led me to this job. In my spare time I enjoy my community at Life.Church. Service there has taught me the importance of consistency and reliability. I was recently given a new mental diagnosis, and having my community, my family and my therapist surround me with love and support has been life-changing for me. I would love to get to know you and your furry family members! Because this is my full-time job, I have open availability, and would love to help with scheduled or drop-in visits. Please just leave written instructions that I can recall later, as your pup will not be my only furry client I will need to care for. I have loved dogs ever since I can remember. While I do enjoy my work as a house sitter, watching and caring for dogs is what brings me the most purpose. I have experience with big and little dogs, so whether you have a golden retriever or a Shih Tzu, rest assured, they will be well taken care of.
About: What sets me apart is that I genuinely treat every pet like they're my own. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, so I focus on making sure both you and your pet feel comfortable and cared for. I'm patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet's unique personality and needs. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies who need extra supervision and consistency to senior dogs who require a gentler pace and additional attention. I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering oral medications if needed, maintaining routines, and providing plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. I also keep owners updated with regular photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and loved until you're back home Pet care fits easily into my routine because I have a flexible schedule and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. 🐾❤️ I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I follow each pet's routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and medication if needed. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or a client's home, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and updates so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for.
“This was my first time using Rover but I needed a way to find a house sitter that knew what they were doing. I booked Arianna because she had good reviews, available for the booking, and cheaper. I have 4 dogs so I needed someone with a lower “additional dog fee”. She watched them about 10 days. When returning home, I didn’t find any bathroom accidents or tore up furniture. She fed them twice a day and gave my pit an allergy pill each day. I did not require any dog walking. When going out of town, I will use her again.”

Samantha does a wonderful job taking care of my pup! He loves when she comes over. I have used her both for overnight care and weekly walks. She is very reliable and always sends lots of updates & pictures. She was also very flexible when I had a cancelled flight. Highly recommend for all your pet sitting needs!!

Jessie did a wonderful job sitting our dogs so we could attend a Christmas concert. We have a new puppy who gets into absolutely everything and Jessie kept her from destroying the house when we were gone LOL! She has also house sat for us in the past while we were on vacation and was a lifesaver! I would not hesitate to give her my highest recommendation!!! If you book with her you can relax and know your babies are in great hands!!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wichita walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wichita maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wichita choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wichita. On Rover:

- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
