About: I learned everything I know about pet-care at the vet I worked with many years ago. There my love and passion for animal…especially dogs… grew. It was also there that I learned cats are not my favorite. 🥴 Though I learned a lot from my time working at the vet, I realized that seeing animals suffering or in pain was not something I could do on a daily basis. That realization led me to this job. In my spare time I enjoy my community at Life.Church. Service there has taught me the importance of consistency and reliability. I was recently given a new mental diagnosis, and having my community, my family and my therapist surround me with love and support has been life-changing for me. I would love to get to know you and your furry family members! Because this is my full-time job, I have open availability, and would love to help with scheduled or drop-in visits. Please just leave written instructions that I can recall later, as your pup will not be my only furry client I will need to care for. I have loved dogs ever since I can remember. While I do enjoy my work as a house sitter, watching and caring for dogs is what brings me the most purpose. “Mandy did great under challenging circumstances. This was our first time using a sitter since getting the dog from the Humane Society a year ago, and the dog took us by surprise with stranger anxiety - not wanting to be touched or approached and urine accidents. I take the blame - In hindsight I should have arranged trial stay(s) many months in advance of our weeklong trip, not just a meet and greet a week in advance. Mandy handled it well. She persevered despite the accidents and communicated candidly with me about how the dog was reacting and problem-solved with me. She figured out how to let the dog out without approaching it, and kept both the dog and cat fed and watered, though walks were not possible. She even came to let the dog out over lunch on weekdays, which was above and beyond our original agreement. The cat loved Mandy - I thought the cat would be the one wary of strangers, and she let Mandy pet her by mid-week. Mandy was very tidy and conscientious and left the house in great condition. She even set out my bait when ants started coming in. Huge appreciation to Mandy.”

I’ve been dog sitting for years and I have been working at Sydney’s pet resort as a supervisor for 4 years now! About: I’ve been around almost every kind of dog in my life, from little small wiener dogs to Great Danes and pits. I enjoy dogs with a passion, I truly love their loyalty towards their owner.
