“Lauren was absolutely wonderful with Charlie! 🐾 She helped me out with walks and drop-in visits and took such great care of him while I was away. She kept me updated after each visit and sent plenty of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing Charlie was happy and being well cared for. It was clear Charlie was comfortable with Lauren and enjoyed spending time with her. I really appreciated how reliable, caring, and communicative she was. I would absolutely trust Lauren with Charlie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and loving to care for their fur baby! ❤️🐶”

About: I would love to give my love and time to your fur babies while your away! I have been pet and house sitting for over 26 years. I used to work at a pet store and I have a lot of experience with dogs and animals of all sizes and needs. I use a loving but firm and peaceful approach with training. My German Shepherd named Ravin was my amazing companion for 13 years and I enjoyed going on adventures to find sticks, playing ball, tug of war and just snuggling and getting love. I'd love to do the same for your fur baby. I am currently working remotely part time so I have lots of time to spend with your pets. I am an early bird so I always have time for play, care and love in the mornings. I usually have a couple appointments or errands to run during the day so I am typically in and out. I try not to be gone more than 4 hours during the day, once in a while it may take me a little longer. I like to be home for the day (in your home) around dinner time. That gives us lots of time for play and snuggles. A typical day for a Rover stay with me may look like this: Waking up and taking care of morning care needs, bathroom/breakfast. Getting lots of snuggles and playing while I drink my coffee and check my emails. If your pet likes to play outside, spending a half hour to an hour outside with whatever activities they enjoy. At that point I may be in and out of the house for a few hours running errands or going to appointments. I'll pop back in when I can for potty breaks, treats and love. I plan on being back to your home before dinner time. Then we will do dinner together, play and hang out. There will be unlimited opportunities for snuggling and love and play in the evening. If you've asked that I do overnight stays, I will do my best to keep your normal routine the same for your pets while you're gone. If your pet usually sleeps on the bed with you, that's okay with me too. If they sleep in their crate with a favorite toy and listen to an audible book at night, we will do that too! :) I want your pet to feel as comfortable and loved while your gone as possible.

“My partner and I love Marla so much!!! She is so thoughtful and sweet and good to our dogs, and she’s very communicative and always shows up during the scheduled time!!”

About: I’ve taken care of all of my pets since a very young age. I love every animal I see as if they are my own! Animals bring me so much joy and I wish for them to have the same happiness. I try to pay attention to body language to know what they are telling me especially when we do not know each other yet. I’ve worked as a dog nutritionist at a place called Must Love Dogs (which I certainly do!) I always want to learn more, do more, and constantly be better for the animals in the world even if I’m only able to impact a few. I have experience with dogs who need a lot of support physically (wheelchairs, lift up harnesses, bathroom assistance) as my own German Shepherd needed all of these things later in life. I may have lost count of how many times I was peed on or had to clean the floors, but I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. I hope to honor him everyday and share my love with other fur babies as much as I can. My love for animals is endless. My goal is to be able to fill my days with all sorts of animals I can love on and bring joy to. I am available any day or time for drop in visits, playtime, feedings, and walks! I currently have a dog and a cat. I take my dog for walks and try to provide plenty of play time, snuggles, and other forms of enrichment for him every day. My kitty is still young and loves playtime, being brushed, and always wants snuggles in the morning which I am always happy to provide! My pets are my babies and every animal I see automatically becomes a baby. I had a special needs German shepherd who was in a wheelchair and needed a ton of special care and attention. I’m not afraid to do the dirty work that pets need to thrive and be happy whether that’s my own pets or my clients. I’d treat them as my own.
“Kelly has dipped in to visit our dog when we’re away from home for a long day. She is professional, communicative, and clearly loves animals. She is our go-to dog sitter. Thank you, Kelly!”

“My experience with Jessi was perfect! My shy cats actually came out from under the bed for her. She left super informative feedback and accommodated all my requests! She was super sweet and kind. I will definitely rebook with her soon!”

“Lacy is so friendly and very responsive! She reached out when there were questions too. My cats were happy and fed while we were away for a trip. We even got lots of photos during the visits! Would definitely have her watch my pets again.”

“We have used Greyson’s drop-in visits and overnight stays for both our two cats and two dogs. Greyson always provides a detailed report and will ensure she meets your expectations.”

“Jamie was great and knowledgeable. Very friendly and helpful in the situation we had. He was always quick to respond to messages and was great with our dog. Listened to the needs and wants and exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend using Jamie and already had to rebook him :-).”

“Silvia was wonderful and provided great care for my pets, including medication for my one cat. She was very communicative and responsive and made me feel confident that they were cared for well we were away.”

“My dog is a bit of a challenge. He is really timid, and it takes him time to get used to people. Rani won him over quickly and took good care of him. Her communication was great, and she gave a lot of details about each of her visits. I would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

“Christine and her husband took great care of our cat Noah while we were away. We received photos and detailed updates with each visit. They went above and beyond by not only making sure all dishes were clean but also bringing in some unexpected large packages and mail for us. We highly recommend them for to take care of your pets!”

“Maria was absolutely fantastic! She took care of our two kitties (one diabetic and needing insulin twice a day and the other chronically terrified of strangers). She was in touch regarding clarification on the medicine - which was very much appreciated - and gave us updates throughout her visits including that our little scared cat actually accepted pets from her on the last day (we were shocked and thrilled!). We look forward to using Maria's services again in the future.”

“Jennifer is very sweet, considerate, respectful, and communicative. She took wonderful care of my cats while I was out of town. She did everything I asked and sent helpful notes and adorable pictures! I will absolutely hire her again and highly recommend you do too!”
“Kaylee is great, my anxious little dog warmed up pretty quick and was always happy to see her, as was kitty. She communicates well also. Thanks for taking care of her Kaylee! I will 100% book with you again.”

“Allison is a great pet sitter. She is prompt with her communication and sends photos from each visit. I feel confident that my dog is in good hands when Allison is completing drop in visits. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Louisha is a great sitter! She watched our two dogs over Christmas and it was so nice to know our dogs were in good hands. She sends great updates after each walk. I absolutely recommend Louisha.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whittaker. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
