“Stephanie did great watching our pup. We needed a sitter last minute and she was quick to respond & help out. She took Harley on a walk and sent us update pics. Harley was exhausted when she got home which is not an easy thing to do, so she must have had fun. We will definitely be using Stephanie again.”

“This was Mason's second stay with Kristen and he was very excited to go and had a great time! Was kept up to date throughout the day with pictures. Will definitely use again!”

“Okay, I don’t know where to start to describe Josie. She is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious for my husband’s description. It means, for me she is amazing and wonderful dog sitter also her family and sweet dog Luna are big help for our dog. Bear loves playing with Luna a lot. Bear feels great in his first week and it helps a lot for our everyday routine. We don’t have to take him for a walk after work because he is already wear out once we get home. I highly recommend Josie for a dog sitter. This week is Bear’s 2nd week with Josie . Thanks a lot Josie”

“Our dog is an hour into her first time ever being with a dogsitter. Anna is so amazing! She sent me pics right away and said that they already love Porsha. Then she offered to give her a bath. I am blown away.”

“Jen was awesome. She was very responsive and kept us informed during our dog’s time with her. I highly recommend her and if we are ever back in Nappanee, we would use her again. This was our second time using Rover and it’s a wonderful service, especially when traveling.”

“Betty was very attentive to our little, old chi (17). He seemed super relaxed and content when I picked him up. Having a fenced yard was a real treat for him. We would definitely use her again. 👍 Betty, thanks for the pics and updates each day that he was in your care. 🙂”

“Chris took great care of our dog and provided some insight on his behaviors during the stay which will help with training. Will definitely be dropping him off for more stays in the future.”

“Finding Lindsay and her weekly daycare has been such a blessing to our dog and to our family. Our Golden, Vera walks in the door every morning with a wagging tale knowing that everyday is going to be full of love, furry friends, communication with her momma if needed, and unconditional kindness. Lindsay provides a safe, clean, trusting, professional, organized, and fun home for all of her dogs. We couldn't ask for more and we are extraordinarily thankful!”

About: New to Rover.com but 10+ years of fostering over 400 babies for local shelters. They were all spoiled by the time they were ready for adoption. (No apologies for that 🙃) Your pet will be well cared for/spoiled while they visit! I can take two dogs, for the safety of your pet(s) and mine, only if they are from the same household. Love animals and miss fostering I did while in California. Your family member will be in caring hands who has years of experience with puppies and kittens who needed medication. I’m retired and have all the time in the world. 🤭 I still foster and mark my calendar as unavailable when I have foster babies. You can always ask if there is room for one more. 😉 New home with half acre fenced yard. Have a very active border collie who wants a playmate. My animals have always had the run of the house but I can provide a crate if need be. If you need an extended period of time, let me know. My last foster was 6 months old, from a local shelter and was here for over 2 months.

“Julie and her husband, Joe, took good care of Obi. It was his first time staying with them. Julie sent me a picture and video of Obi having a good time. Their dog Barron was not home to play with, but I think they played with Obi and gave him lots of attention.”

“I’ve been bringing my dog, Mykonos, to Lynn for daycare, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provides. Every morning, he gets so excited to go back, which says everything about how comfortable and happy he feels with her. He comes home calm and content, showing no signs of stress or anxiety. It gives me real peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Lynn clearly cares deeply for the dogs she looks after, and I’m grateful for the warm, safe environment she provides.”

“Alexia was wonderful! Such a passionate person and even was able to book the puppies on a short notice. Very honest person and took lots of pictures. I know my 2 will be well taken care of next vacation!!”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life. My real passion is dogs and I’m focused on dog sitting/boarding/daycare, but I’m happy to take care of cats and drop in for other animals. I have owner trained one at home service dog and am in the process of owner training a public access service dog. I have two yellow labs (one bench, one field), a mixed breed rescue, and a cat. All my animals are very animal friendly. My big lab does take a noisy minute to adjust, but he’s a big sweetheart once he’s got the lay of the land. I have a yard with a living fence and a wooded property where the dogs can be walked if needed. I am home full time and just becoming an empty nester, so I have plenty of time and attention to devote to our furry friends. Most days it will just be me and the animals on our wooded property so there’s plenty of time and room for relaxation and play. I have a fairly large fenced yard and wooded surrounding property. My home is laid back and the animals are treated like family. They are welcome on furniture and have plenty of room to play and toys to play with. I just ask they be on tick and heartworm prevention as there are many bugs in the woods. I have regular experience with basic grooming and administering meds. I have crates available if needed or preferred. I’ll do my best to care for them as you want. Our big lab, George does have some scary looking anxiety upon meeting (barking and growling). If you are boarding/daycare/meet and greet with us, George will be in a pen on leash, harness, and muzzle to start (either inside or outside weather dependent-prefer outside). As your dog explores, I will work with George to adapt to the new situation and eventually greet your dog appropriately. Once that happens, he’s good with appropriate play, boundary setting, etc…. It’s just the initial greeting that needs a little more management.
About: We have a good sized house which we share with our sweet rescue dog, Penelope, 2 kittens, Lilo and Stitch and our almost 2 year old daughter. I offer dog walking, sitting, overnight, part day hang outs and even training! We live near several parks that are dog friendly which we frequent regularly. I've always lived with dogs but began training the family and neighbor's dogs around the age of 10. I want to make note that I understand it is a big responsibility to care for someone else's fur child and that I take it very seriously. If you have any questions, please feel free to text, or email me anytime. I am home each day with my young daughter who is great with animals but in case you prefer she stay separate, we have gates and even a heated barn if full separation is needed. Our old girl has free rein of the house, even our kitties get outside every once in a while but we have the ability to set up a small fenced in area or a zip line style tether, and of course walks as needed. We love to snuggle all furry friends but also know some prefer their space.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 161 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across White Pigeon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your White Pigeon commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 161 sitters in White Pigeon, 84% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
