About: I’ve always been around animals, and my family has owned several pets since I was around 12; everything from german shepherds to frogs and fishes. I’ve helped train, care for, and love all of our animals. I know what it takes to discipline, but also care for pets, while creating an environment that your animal is comfortable in. My outside experience mostly includes dog sitting for friends and neighbors, though I do not discriminate when it comes to any 4-legged furry friend! “My last pet sitter canceled last minute and everything went to crap as my cat pepper "drama king screaming demon" needs medicine for his stomach and anxiety in his old age. Sonny took my black fur ball of rage and distrust and made sure he had his medicine and space as pepper can be a bit "much" she gave lots of pictures and updates and was available within 2 days of booking which I desperately needed. She also worked with me as my family trip had gotten derailed when our car broke down and was willing to watch him for a bit longer as we figured out how to get home. She builds a great rapport and I can tell her own animals adore her and are VERY well socialized. Her kitten peaches ran up to me wanting to say hi and her dog ham was not aggressive in the least meeting me for the first time, he just wanted pats!”

Any food, crates or specifics you have for us to use while having your animal we will keep safe and separate for easy transfer. We have a clean home and smoke free!

About: Lifetime pet owners of cats and dogs alike, Maeve and Jason have shared decades of pet-sitting duties for friends and family and all that entails from crate training to medication administration. We have flexible schedules, reliable transportation with dog seatbelts, a large wrap around fully fenced-in yard, and several forested acres with private nature trails to share with your best friend. Maeve is a WFH graphic designer and Jason is a self-employed carpenter living with our two sweet velcro cavalier king charles spaniels — Cricket & Disco. We have very flexible schedules with lots of love and attention to spare. We can easily break away for walks and drop-ins. We live across from Eagle Lake with a large wraparound fully fenced-in yard overlooking 15 private forested acres with trails for leashed nature walks. We have oodles of experience walking, camping, hiking, swimming, and playing with dogs in all environments and elements. Crates and gates are available if your best friend needs their space, but everybody is allowed to make themselves at home. We have lots of cozy nooks and beds. We work to ensure smooth introductions. Our home is very dog-friendly but to that end, kept very clean. We do tick checks and our girls are always up to date with their vaccinations and preventative meds. JIC, we have reliable transportation and are not far from Michiana Veterinary Hospital. We are also able to drive to your preferred vet.

(No apologies for that 🙃) Your pet will be well cared for/spoiled while they visit! I can take two dogs, for the safety of your pet(s) and mine, only if they are from the same household. Love animals and miss fostering I did while in California. Your family member will be in caring hands who has years of experience with puppies and kittens who needed medication. I’m retired and have all the time in the world. 🤭 I still foster and mark my calendar as unavailable when I have foster babies. You can always ask if there is room for one more. 😉 New home with half acre fenced yard. Have a very active border collie who wants a playmate. My animals have always had the run of the house but I can provide a crate if need be. If you need an extended period of time, let me know. My last foster was 6 months old, from a local shelter and was here for over 2 months.

About: I've lived around dogs for most my life, with a range of sizes and needs. From small Pugs who snore the night away to Great Danes who think they are still a puppy. About: For several years I owned a Doggy B and B where the dogs were part of my family. There were no cages or crates which the owners really appreciated. They slept in bed with me, jumped and lounged on all the furniture, watched TV, ate plenty of homemade treats, went swimming in the pool and don't forget the car rides to the park and river. Every weekend I would shop for new, safe and tough toys. We celebrated holidays and birthdays with homemade pupcakes, presents and costumes. They also got a "report" card saying how their day was and what they did that day or weekend. There were lots of pictures taken and shared too. I grew up on a farm surrounded by a wide variety of animals, which taught me from a very young age how to read animal body language, handle different temperaments, and provide compassionate, patient care. Throughout high school and college, I regularly watched and walked dogs and cats. I love house sitting because it allows your pets to stay completely relaxed in their own environment while maintaining their exact daily routines. I come from a family of veterinarians, so I grew up immersed in the world of animal health, safety, and care. As a full-time elementary school teacher, summer is my favorite time for pet care! Because I am on summer break, my schedule is completely wide open. About: I have been taking care of dogs all of my life. Yrs ago I worked at an pet resort and LOVED IT! I was a dog groomer for 5yrs. I own a Chihuahua, black Lab, 3 cats, 6 chickens and a rabbit. I love all breeds and sizes. I have taken care of dogs with daily medication. I know how to give dog pills if needed. I treat all animals like they are part of the family. I love to see their different personalities. Taking care of dogs is not a job to me it is a pleasure to be able to spend time with them and take care of them. Doggies make me happy :-) I currently work part time but even when I am not home there's usually someone home. I can take care of animals before or after work if needed. I am very attentive when I take care of animals. I refuse to be outside without them being on a leash. I watch carefully for signs of what they are needing. Always give plenty of love and I love getting kisses!
About: I get along with all dogs that are well behaved or not! I have had dogs my entire life, and many other pets as well! I love dogs the most, but l love all animals! I'm available m-s from am to pm! I work from home and am able to make my own schedule! Which is really nice, so if I'm needed morning or evenings I'm almost always available! I use positive reinforcement whenever possible, and always try and make sure dogs are using their manners, and best behavior. I am comfortable with dogs that need a little extra time to warm up to strangers as well, I have been around dogs my entire life with my own, friends and families! I love training and agility and all things dog! I have watched many videos on how to administer CPR and first aid. But have taken no classes. I have experienced a few accidents in my day with dogs, seizures, cuts, etc. So I have some experience in some things, but not anything to serious.

I have a 13-year-old black lab and used to have a 20-year-old cat that I have helped take care of since they were born! I am used to walking animals, giving them tons of attention, feeding them and I have experience giving medication to dogs and cats, as my dog had diabetes and my cat needed a shot every once in a while. I also have experience with smaller animals like bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters if needed. Hope to talk to you soon if you are interested!
