“Nico is amazing, he took a wonderful care of our Ziva, walking her, playing with her and just simply spending time with her. We never left her alone before but with Nico I was sure Ziva would be happy and safe and we had no worries.”

“I’m so incredibly thankful for Madalynn! She was able to help me out very last minute and I truly can’t express how much I appreciated her flexibility, kindness and reliability. Leaving your dog with someone new can be nerve wracking, especially when you have a giant Great Dane like Odi, but she made the entire experience feel easy and comforting from the start! Odi absolutely loved her and it was clear she treated him with so much patience, care and affection. She kept me updated, made me feel at ease and genuinely went above and beyond. You can tell she truly loves animals and cares about what she does. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, dependable and amazing with dogs. I will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future. Thank you so much again for everything!”

About: With over five years of dedicated pet-sitting experience, our family offers a unique, multi-species "home away from home" experience. Our household is a true animal-loving environment where every guest is treated like one of our own. Our 10-year-old Jack Russell, Mel, is the ultimate hostess, she is incredibly friendly, gentle, and loves playing with new friends. Because we share our home with everything from dogs to snakes, turtles, and lizards, we are uniquely equipped to handle a wide variety of needs. Our 16-year-old is particularly passionate about exotic pet care, ensuring that even the smallest or most unique pets get the specialized attention they require. Whether it’s a senior dog needing a gentle pace or a high-energy pup ready for the backyard, we have the experience to make them feel safe and loved. IMPORTANT PRICING NOTICE: The base rate shown applies ONLY to small and medium dogs (under 40 lbs). Large dogs (41–100 lbs) require a +$15/night surcharge, which will be manually applied to your quote before booking confirmation. Please note that we do not accommodate giant breeds (101+ lbs). My home is active and full of life! My routine is centered around pet happiness: morning walks in our pet-friendly community, plenty of playtime in our spacious backyard, and quiet relaxation in the evenings. Your pet will never lack for attention. Whether it’s feeding time for our fish and reptiles or a game of fetch with my dog Mel, pet care isn't just a task for me- it’s a central part of my daily life. Safety is my absolute priority. I live in a large house with a beautiful open backyard. While my yard is not fenced, I operate on a strict "100% Eyes-On" policy. Pets are never left unattended outdoors and are always leash-walked for bathroom breaks and exercise. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment where guest animals have plenty of room to explore or find a cozy corner for a nap. To build trust with you, I provide: - Constant Communication: Frequent photo and video updates so you can see how much fun your pet is having. - Socialization: Carefully supervised interactions with Mel to ensure everyone is comfortable. - Specialized Care: Deep knowledge of reptile and aquatic needs, ensuring your exotic pets stay on their specific light and feeding schedules.
“Carolina was so great! She was super communicative and reassured us during our trip that our dog was in good hands. She followed all of our directions perfectly and we felt comfortable that our dog was safe and loved while we were gone. She was even flexible enough to accommodate some of our changes and when there were things she wasn’t sure about she asked us.”

“She is amazing with my dog Enzo, always on time and provides very detailed reports for walkies. I trust her to take care of my baby when I'm on trips, and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker. Appreciate her so much!”

“Dennis was great! He responded to my request quickly and came and met us the same day. He was polite and respectful. He took our pup out, played ball with her, and locked everything up tight when he was done. We would definitely love to use him again.”

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life and I love caring for pets! When I was young I used to volunteer at a family friend's vet clinic and I loved getting to meet so many sweet animals. I look forward to being able to help both you and your pet! I’m currently working part time and taking some online classes so my schedule is flexible. I’d love to be able to help out some owners with walks, time with pets, or just stopping in to check on your pet. I’ve had pets, both dogs and cats, my whole life and I love love animals! I love to spend my time with animals and I’m very content to spend easy chill time with your pet or run around with them outside!
“Shirly was fabulous with Luka and I will Use her again. She responded immediately as a last minute request for a dog walk. And Luka warmed up to her immediately when they first met.”

“RaiRai is very responsive and attentive; I appreciate how she communicates everything, from the amount of times my dog poops on his walk to noticing how quickly he gets tired from the Florida sun. I plan to use her services in the future, and recommend her to anyone who asks for a great dog walker.”

“Kateryna is great! Auggie gets so excited when she comes by, and sometimes she brings her son, who’s very sweet — it’s a great chance for the puppy to socialize. The photos she takes are worth the money on their own! I’d definitely recommend her.”

About: On top of my academics and more full-time jobs, for the past 4 years I have taken care of an extensive list of pets as a side hustle. As a lifelong dog and cat lover, I have lots of experience caring for a wide variety of breeds and personalities. My love for pets began at a young age growing up with my best friend and favorite family member, my dog Marshmallow. I’ve taken care of many different dogs for neighbors and friends. I am currently working part-time as a Guest Experience Representative for the Miami Dolphins, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets during the weekdays and can guarantee they will have a fun time. I can guarantee that I will make sure your pets are safe and protected at all costs and will make sure they are comfortable by making sure I am always around areas they are used too.
“Andrew is absolutely delightful and my dogs loved him! They are quite shy of new people, but they instantly warmed to his calm nature. Andrew has been extremely communicative and reliable and I would highly recommend him.”

About: I have been a dog owner for over 30 years. My experience includes having a pet sitting business in Dallas, Texas from 2009 to 2014. I was a Volunteer, Foster and Treasurer for the Dallas Fort Worth Labrador Retriever Rescue. Many of my dog owner clients request I stay in their home overnight when they are away. The pet(s] feel more comfortable in their own familiar surroundings. I do dog walking on a daily basis at a clients request. I will keep a small to medium dog in my home. For cat owners I do a daily drop in to feed, take care of litter box and playtime. I have Pet Care Insurance coverage. I currently work part time from 12pm to 3pm Monday-Thursday and Fridays 9.30AM to 11.30 AM. Would be available early mornings and after 3pm. My home is a downstairs unit in a gated community with many walking paths and grassy areas. All pets are on leash for walks. When pet sitting in a clients home, I go by their routine for walking, feeding and playing.
“Simone has come over for walks and play time twice a day during this hot, hot south Florida summer. Her daily photos and kind notes have set my mind at ease while I am away from home. Thanks for taking such good care of Finn!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
