“I cannot recommend Catherine enough! As someone using the Rover app for the first time, I was a bit nervous about leaving my two pups, but Catherine made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. She kept me updated and put my mind completely at ease while I was away. What truly sets Catherine apart is how she goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care. One of my dogs requires daily medication, and Catherine handled it with such diligence and patience, ensuring she never missed a dose. It is such a relief knowing my pets were in such capable, loving hands. She is wonderful with both of them, and I’m so grateful I found her!”

“Bahiyyah was great. She took such wonderful care of my puppy and older cat. She did an amazing job keeping up with the puppy and exercising her. I was able to enjoy my vacation without stressing about my girls. Highly recommend Bahiyyah if you're looking for a patient and kind sitter.”

“Mary was absolutely amazing and took really good care of my Furbaby. This was our first experience with house sitting, using someone who wasn't a family member. However, from the first video chat, we knew that Mary was the best person for the job. She has such a sweet and calming demeanor, which helped to ease all of our nervousness. Mary sent us daily updates and pictures, which showed how happy and at ease my dog was. Mary went above and beyond and we are forever grateful to her. Mary is officially a part of our family and we will definitely be using her for all of our future trips.”

“Paz was very thoughtful in her care of our pets while we were away. She took careful notes about all of our animals needs and communicated well with us while we were away. It was awesome that she shared a lot of cute moments of our pets when we were missing them. We highly recommend her :)”

“Really cared for the cats, great communicator, and kind person! It was so nice to go away knowing the cats would not only be cared for but they would be cuddled and loved! Could not recommend her more!!”

“We cannot recommend Adam enough as a house/dog sitter. It is always so hard to find someone trustworthy enough to stay in our home and take care of our amazing boy. Adam was communicative, trustworthy, and reliable allowing for us to have a relaxing vacation knowing that our pup was safe. We have a 2 year old doberman who is not always the quickest to warm up to people, however he took to Adam quickly and truly enjoy his stay with him. In addition, the house was in excellent condition when we returned and Loki was happy and well exercised. Will absolutely book Adam again for future sitting opportunities and strongly recommend him to sit your pup.”

“Raquel is a delight. She is warm and responsible. Listens carefully to all instructions for watching your beloved pet and follows through. I recommend her without reservation!!”

“Faith was wonderful with our pup! She was very communicative, sent pictures, and kept Evie company whole we were out for late night plans. We will definitely book her again.”

About: Hi there! I’m Mara, a loving, caring, and responsible pet sitter with a lifelong passion for dogs. Growing up with my two beloved pups, Bodoque (dad) and Junior (son) both being Maltese-French Poodle mix, I learned how much joy and companionship pets bring into our lives. I am bilingual (Spanish) and eager to accommodate pets of various ages and mobility. That’s why I’m saving up to become a certified Pet Communicator! Yes, you read that right—speaking with your furry baby to understand their needs and feelings even better. Your trust helps to deepen this connection and make this dream a reality.! Why Choose Me? I genuinely LOVE dogs, all kinds! Whether it’s a walk in the park, playtime, or cozy cuddles on the couch, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I understand that each pet has unique needs, whether it’s medication, extra attention, or just some tender loving care. My goal is to make sure your furry baby feels at home, safe, and happy while you’re away, so you can have peace of mind. My husband and I recently lost our beloved Boston Terrier, Meatball, in 2022. He was 16 years old and the heart of our home. Although we miss him dearly, we have so much love to give. Think of us as the cool aunt and uncle who adore spending time with your pets! Beyond pet sitting, I aim to build a deep connection with each pet, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved during their stay. Your Pet’s care fits perfectly into my daily routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I love starting my mornings with a walk, which is the ideal time to take your furry baby out, especially before it gets too hot. If I know a pet is coming, I plan my day around their needs—whether it's scheduling walks, giving them their medicine, or just spending quality time together. And if I have to step out, my husband is always here to make sure your pet is cared for. When caring for your furry baby in our home, we treat them with the routine and love present on their own. My husband and I create a relaxed, loving environment where your pet is free to be themselves. Whether they prefer lounging on the couch, sleeping in bed with us, or sticking to a specific routine, we accommodate their needs to make sure they feel safe and at home. We're easy-going and flexible, and we even enjoy teaching new tricks! Your pet's happiness, wellness, and comfort are our top priority.

“Jacqueline was able to help us out last minute and come house sit our pup. She was very communicative and sent updates throughout her stay. We came home to a clean house and happy puppy.”

About: I have always felt a special connection with animals and grown up my whole life in a pet household. I have always had cats and small pets but it wasn’t until 5 years ago I finally got my own dog. We rescued him from a traumatic past so he had a lot of anxiety and fear. It taught me so much about caring for a more special needs pet that provided me with more patience, discipline and understanding for animals. I also have an adult cat and these two animals collectively make me so happy. These experiences have led me to want to give back in some way as a pet caregiver! I promise to give your fur babies the best care and love possible and to leave your home as if it were my own! I work shifts as a nurse but have my weekends and nights and a week day free! This schedule while my work days are busy allows me ample time off to care for your pets. Knowing any specifics about your pets such as routine, feeding, potty schedule, medications, personalities, etc is helpful in knowing how to provide the best care possible for them. Whether it is a drop in visit or going on a walk I promise to leave your pet more enriched and fulfilled after the visit than before!
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rozz is an absolute gem! She took amazing care of our cat, DB, while we were away for our wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She kept us updated with adorable pictures, gave DB so much love and attention, and made sure she was well-fed and happy. It was clear our cat adored her! Knowing DB was in such great hands allowed us to fully enjoy our special day without any worries. We truly appreciate everything Rozz did and will definitely be using her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Jean was an absolute savior this last week! I had a last minute need for someone to come and stay with my dogs for 10 days, and I felt so lucky to find someone. And to top it off, she was the perfect pet/house sitter, too! She kept me in the loop everyday. The dogs loved her. Plus, when I got home late last night, the house was immaculate! Such a dream. I will use her over and over again!”

“Jessica was fabulous with our dog who has some special needs (medication and requires some specific handling). She watched her for 10 days while we were on vacation and was a confident, responsible, communicative dog sitter. We couldn’t hope for anyone better when searching on Rover and feel fortunate that we knew 100% that our dog was in excellent hands while we were away.”

“Tristyn was a godsend. We needed last minute doggy care at our house for our little spaniel. Tristyn immediately responded with warmth, knowledge and understanding. The next day she arrived right on time, had a gentle energy and took care of our pet. Her rate was reasonable. Her personality was pleasant and respectful. I am so lucky I have her to count on in the future. Thanks Tristyn.”

About: All of my friend’s pets love me! It’s easy for me to match their energy and help them forget that their favorite people aren’t home, you! I currently work full time but my schedule allows for me to stop by the house twice a day. I start work at 11am in the city, so depending where you live, I usually leave for my commute around 10am. My day ends at 7pm, then I head right to your pets from there. I never leave without playtime, unless they are really shy but I’m persistent. If my schedule works for you I would love to keep your pets company. I have a baseball field down the street from me that your pets can run wild in. During the week there’s no one there in the morning and it’s fenced in. Your cat will have plenty of toys and areas to roam free in my house.
“She did a great job with our Bear! She was super sweet the whole time and sent us some videos while we were away. Bear was well taken care of and loved. Naomi stayed in our home which we were very comfortable doing! Would definitely recommend for future references:)”

Matin was fabulous. We have only had chicken noodle for seven months and I was extremely apprehensive about leaving her but Matin made me feel so at ease and relaxed knowing that she was in the best hands possible. I wanted to keep chic in her routine and make sure she was just as comfortable with someone else as she is with us and Matin did just that! She sent pictures and videos and kept us up to date with how chick was doing on a daily basis. Matin is my first call when we go away again! Words could never express how thankful I am for the care she provided for chicken noodle!

Abby was fantastic, as always! She stayed at our house for 10 days with our two pups. She took both dogs on walks daily, administered medication, and expertly cleaned our hound dog’s gross ears! She went above and beyond by cuddling with both dogs at night and making their days feel as normal as possible :) Great communication throughout the stay. She took great care of our house. Very happy to have found a great sitter.

Fantastic! It was our first time using Raquel and I wouldn’t hesitate to hiring her again. She stayed the week and gave Lucy her undivided attention. I received just the right amount of feedback each day and it was apparent with each message and picture that Lucy was very comfortable with her. It was so nice to go on vacay and know that your furry friend feels safe and happy without you. Thanks Raquel!

Bahiyyah was great. She took such wonderful care of my puppy and older cat. She did an amazing job keeping up with the puppy and exercising her. I was able to enjoy my vacation without stressing about my girls. Highly recommend Bahiyyah if you're looking for a patient and kind sitter.

Kristina and her daughter were wonderful! They. Were very attentive and communicated through out their stay. I was very nervous leaving the dogs as usually they stay with family but Kristina put our worries at ease and everything went great! Would highly recommend!

Maggie was lovely. It turned out that she didn't actually stay with our dog because I had to cancel (since our dog was sick and I decided to stay home), but during the meet-and-greet I could tell that she was calm, comfortable, friendly, experienced, and responsible.

Krystal stayed at my home with my 2 dogs for eight nights while we were away. One dog has anxious tendencies and the other is epileptic and requires twice daily medication. Krystal was able to not only accommodate their needs, but recognized their little quirks and adjusted to make them each more comfortable. She kept our place tidy, was in frequent communication, and responded promptly.

We set up house sitting for our incredibly sweet, but anxious, mini goldendoodle (Myles) back in March for our July vacation. We wanted to establish a relationship very early on, so when it was time for vacation, Myles would be comfortable and less anxious. Unfortunately, our sitter canceled a week before vacation, basically negating our ability to get Myles comfortable before we left. Backs against the wall, we had to take a huge leap of faith and look into other arrangements, now with virtually no lead-up time to getting Myles acclimated. Benjamin came by way of referral and was only available to take Myles in during our vacation, which was a departure from our plan to have someone come to our home to watch Myles, but given the circumstances, we decided to schedule the meet and greet to see how things would go. During the meet and greet at Ben's home, it was apparent he was special; personable, easy-going, patient, welcoming. It was also clear Myles would have plenty of room to roam and play. Myles was unsurprisingly anxious, but Ben was confident Myles would eventually fit right in with his family and his dogs, one of which is also a goldendoodle! After leaving the meet and greet, we felt optimistic. As expected, at drop-off, Myles was a bit anxious. Ben sent us lots of videos, pics, and updates to show us how things were going. Within an hour or so after dropping off Myles, he started to warm up, and over the next few days, it was clear Myles was fitting right in with, not just Ben, but his dogs, too! Getting daily updates with new pics and videos was such a treat and something we looked forward to while we were away, and Ben never disapointed! When we picked Myles up after vacation, he looked happy and healthy. We have no complaints. We will be sure to use Ben going forward. We felt our fur baby was having his own vacation with Ben while we were away! We couldn't have asked for anything more; simply put, Ben is the best!

As of September 2026, there are 5,575 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Westbrook Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westbrook Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westbrook Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westbrook Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westbrook Park. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
