About: I have always felt a special connection with animals and grown up my whole life in a pet household. I have always had cats and small pets but it wasn’t until 5 years ago I finally got my own dog. We rescued him from a traumatic past so he had a lot of anxiety and fear. It taught me so much about caring for a more special needs pet that provided me with more patience, discipline and understanding for animals. I also have an adult cat and these two animals collectively make me so happy. These experiences have led me to want to give back in some way as a pet caregiver! I promise to give your fur babies the best care and love possible and to leave your home as if it were my own! I work shifts as a nurse but have my weekends and nights and a week day free! This schedule while my work days are busy allows me ample time off to care for your pets. Knowing any specifics about your pets such as routine, feeding, potty schedule, medications, personalities, etc is helpful in knowing how to provide the best care possible for them. About: I feel as though I automatically connect with animals first in a room full of people. I have a deep love for animals. I have been caring for my puggle for about 8 years now, I truly feel as though he is my son. I enjoy spending time with animals of all sorts. Maggie was lovely. It turned out that she didn't actually stay with our dog because I had to cancel (since our dog was sick and I decided to stay home), but during the meet-and-greet I could tell that she was calm, comfortable, friendly, experienced, and responsible.
Krystal stayed at my home with my 2 dogs for eight nights while we were away. One dog has anxious tendencies and the other is epileptic and requires twice daily medication. Krystal was able to not only accommodate their needs, but recognized their little quirks and adjusted to make them each more comfortable. She kept our place tidy, was in frequent communication, and responded promptly.
We set up house sitting for our incredibly sweet, but anxious, mini goldendoodle (Myles) back in March for our July vacation. We wanted to establish a relationship very early on, so when it was time for vacation, Myles would be comfortable and less anxious. Unfortunately, our sitter canceled a week before vacation, basically negating our ability to get Myles comfortable before we left. Backs against the wall, we had to take a huge leap of faith and look into other arrangements, now with virtually no lead-up time to getting Myles acclimated. Benjamin came by way of referral and was only available to take Myles in during our vacation, which was a departure from our plan to have someone come to our home to watch Myles, but given the circumstances, we decided to schedule the meet and greet to see how things would go. During the meet and greet at Ben's home, it was apparent he was special; personable, easy-going, patient, welcoming. It was also clear Myles would have plenty of room to roam and play. Myles was unsurprisingly anxious, but Ben was confident Myles would eventually fit right in with his family and his dogs, one of which is also a goldendoodle! After leaving the meet and greet, we felt optimistic. As expected, at drop-off, Myles was a bit anxious. Ben sent us lots of videos, pics, and updates to show us how things were going. Within an hour or so after dropping off Myles, he started to warm up, and over the next few days, it was clear Myles was fitting right in with, not just Ben, but his dogs, too! Getting daily updates with new pics and videos was such a treat and something we looked forward to while we were away, and Ben never disapointed! When we picked Myles up after vacation, he looked happy and healthy. We have no complaints. We will be sure to use Ben going forward. We felt our fur baby was having his own vacation with Ben while we were away! We couldn't have asked for anything more; simply put, Ben is the best!
Amelia was absolutely incredible with my dog, Henry, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. From the moment I left, I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. She followed all of his routines so thoughtfully, paid close attention to his eating habits, made sure he was comfortable, and genuinely treated him like he was her own. Henry can be a little particular at times, and Amelia was so patient and attentive to his needs. It was clear that she truly cares about animals and goes above and beyond to make them feel safe, loved, and happy. She also kept me updated throughout my trip, which meant so much while I was traveling. Every message and photo reassured me that Henry was thriving and getting plenty of love and attention. Coming home to a happy, relaxed dog says everything. Amelia is reliable, communicative, compassionate, and an all-around wonderful pet sitter. Mara watched my 2 dogs over the weekend and she was amazing! She was on time, very communicative, and sent lot of cute pictures. Both dogs loved her and had a great weekend hanging out with her.
