About: I’ve previously worked as an assistant dog trainer in all levels of the AKC Canine Good Citizen program, handling both puppies and reactive dogs. I also trained a dog to pass the Assistance Dogs International public access service exam and have volunteered at animal shelters. I’ve always loved animals and am now pursuing an animal science degree to turn that passion into my career! I am available the majority of weekdays (8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.), Saturday afternoon/evening (4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.), and most of Sunday (8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) Safety and trust are my top priorities with every visit. I use calm, confident handling and positive reinforcement to make each booking safe and enjoyable. I’m more than happy to bring treats to reward good manners and positive behavior! I pay close attention to body language and surroundings, keeping walks low-stress so every dog feels secure, enriched, and understood.

About: Behavioral Enrichment: I don’t just care for pets; I engage them mentally and physically. I use enrichment activities, like puzzle feeders, training games, and stimulating walks, to keep them entertained and healthy. Flexible & Attuned to Your Pet's Needs: Every pet is unique, and I’m adaptable to each one’s temperament. Whether they’re a high-energy puppy, a senior with arthritis, or a shy rescue, I adjust my care approach accordingly. Experience Across All Ages & Breeds: From tiny kittens to elderly dogs, I’ve cared for pets of all ages and breeds, which means I’m well-versed in the special needs each group requires. Continuous Learning: I stay updated with new pet care techniques and resources to provide the best possible care. Morning Routine: I start my day by making sure the pets are fed, and I take them out for their morning walk or potty break. If it’s a training session day, I incorporate a short, focused training routine right after the walk. If I’m caring for a senior pet or one with specific health needs, I prioritize administering any morning medications or treatments. Midday Care: For part-time care, this is when I might stop by for a midday visit if the pet parent is at work or out for the day. I check in on the pet, ensure they’re comfortable, take them outside for a bathroom break, and offer some playtime or light exercise. This can also include mental stimulation activities like interactive toys or a training session. Afternoon Routine: Depending on the pet’s needs, I might provide a mid-afternoon walk or some calm cuddle time. I also keep a close eye on how the pet’s feeling—especially for senior pets who might tire easily—and adjust the activities accordingly. If I’m looking after a puppy or an active breed, I make sure they get a good burst of energy out before the evening. I would apply the same routines and take them for a walk. I'm in charge of the dog's food and I could give him a bath if he needs it.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Samoset
I couldn’t have asked for better dog walkers. Not only did they get my dog to walk longer than I ever can, their pictures, distance and time reports were fantastic and so reassuring. This was my first time using dog walkers and my only wish is I could use them every time!! The girls were so professional, attentive and loving to my dog. I don’t have children so my dog is my child and I can honestly say they are the absolute best. Thank you so much for the fantastic help, Stephanie and Eliza, you are the best.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
