“Karlie went above what we asked of her. She treated our girls like they were her own. She loved and took amazing care of them. I will gladly have Karlie take care of my girls again. Like i said you are amazing”

“Faith was fantastic with our two kitties! She always made sure that they had enough food and that their litter box was clean and swept up the litter on the floor. She always added the cutest photos of our kitties after every visit. Would absolutely book again!”

“Rhonda was the best.I was worried at first because we had someone else watch them last year and it didnt go well, so I was hesitant to do it again. From the first time she met my kitties I knew this was going to go well. They were smelling her and rubbing themselves on her. I knew if they felt safe enough to show themselves like that then I was comfortable. The next time they met her it was the same. Any worries I had went out the door. While we were away she provided photos and videos, I could tell my kitties were happy. I highly recommend Rhonda to everyone. I am greatful for how well she took care of them like her own. Thank you so much.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have had two dogs of our own for 11 years. We enjoy regular walks around our neighborhood and are experienced in giving vitamins and/or medication daily. I work full-time and am available to make trips home to allow bathroom breaks and home all evenings and weekends. I work full-time in La Crosse and am available in the early afternoons and evenings. Also available for an occasional trip for quick bathroom breaks/walks. My backyard faces a golf course, perfect for a peaceful and relaxing environment. Plenty of space to wander without the worries of lots of traffic or people.
About: I grew up with shelter dogs my whole life, and we always had three dogs at a time, so I’m very used to different personalities, energy levels, and behaviors. Having rescue dogs taught me a lot of patience and helped me learn how every dog has their own needs and routine. Something that sets me apart is my hands-on experience with training my German Shepherd Husky mix at home, so I’m comfortable working with high-energy dogs and helping reinforce good habits. I also have experience with dogs of all ages, including seniors, so I understand the extra gentleness and patience they sometimes need. Honestly, I just really love being around dogs and miss mine at home, so I’d love the chance to spend time with some furry friends and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I am in school full time and I work at Chick Fil A part time, but I am done with classes most days by 3pm so I am willing to walk dogs on those days! I also do not go home hardly ever, except holidays so I can do weekend care as well! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to stick closely to their normal routine because I know how important consistency is for dogs. One of my dogs at home, Maui, will even get sick if breakfast is more than about 30 minutes late, so I truly understand how much pets rely on their schedules for comfort and health. I’m also very comfortable cleaning up after pets and handling any accidents quickly and responsibly. Being an only child, I’ve always been the one to step in and take care of messes at home, so it comes naturally to me to keep both the pet and the home clean and comfortable. I also know how reassuring updates can be for pet parents. Whenever my family goes on trips, my mom loves receiving photos of our dogs, so I always plan to send picture updates and little check-ins so owners know their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Samantha goes above and beyond when watching your pet and is such a go-getter with an insane attention to detail! We feel so at ease when we leave town now knowing that our pet will be well taken care of!”

“Zaliana did a fantastic job taking care of our fur babies. We have a giant great Dane who can be a lot to handle but she did it with no problem. Our cat enjoyed his snuggle time. She was right on time and very communicative. I will definitely be hiring her again.”

About: I have taken care of my two pit bulls since the start of high school. I love giving affection to them, including others I have met in person. I used to have a senior dog who had joint problems and needed help on the stairs, bed, and sofa. I do drop in visits, house sitting, and dog walking. I would love to give your fur babies a bunch of affection and care. I’ll make sure to update you regularly with pictures so you know that your pets are in safe hands. Your pets safety is my top priority. For dog walking, I’ll make sure they stay off the road when the pavement is too hot and/or a car is coming. I will also stay alert to my surroundings. I am unemployed, so I have plenty of time to take care of your dogs and/or cats! I will be available Sunday through Thursday. I'll do my best in following your schedule so your pets won't get stressed by any sudden changes. I'll make sure to ask any questions on how to take care of your dogs and cats so I won't make any needless mistakes. I will also send you updates of your pets by sending you photos and texts.
About: I have worked with animals off and on my whole life. I’ve had four dogs growing up including my current dog. I do have experience with epilepsy since my current dog does have it. I can also help with basic training such as walking nicely on a leash. I am currently trying to find a new career so working with doggos in the meantime will help me in that journey. I am open for walks or checks in during the week, but can only do stayovers on the weekends. I unfortunately can not have pets at my current residence as it is my parents, but I am more than willing to multiple stops or even overnights for your pets. I will love and care for them as if they’re my own.
“Ashlyn was very affectionate with our pet. Even though it was the first time with her our kitty seemed relaxed and comfortable during Ashyln’s drop in visits. We received detailed updates along with pictures that made me feel connected with our pet even though we were far away. Meeting Ashlyn the first time for the meet and greet itself felt good and made me feel confident that our cat would be well cared for. We are so happy to have Ashlyn care for our cat and wouldn’t hesitate to hire Ashlyn again!”

I can bring my work computer with me if needed and take breaks as I please, so I’m able to give your pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day. Your pet safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow care instructions closely and make sure pets are supervised, secure, and stress-free. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
