“Can’t say enough great things about Jackson! He was an excellent communicator with us, came by before we left town for a meet and greet, then stayed in our home for several days with our pup Blanche. He took her on many walks and sent great pics of her that let us know she was relaxed and well cared for. He left our guest room cleaner than before he stayed! We really appreciated his help and hope he can help us out again.”

“Ashley was great! Our cats loved her, even our cat that is a little shy around new people opened up right away. Will definitely be using Ashley again in the future :)”

“Kaelin did a wonderful job taking care of our house and two dogs for six days while we were out of town. She sent pictures daily and seemed to really enjoy her time with the dogs. I recommend her services wholeheartedly!”

“Autumn is an amazing pet sitter. She is extremely professional, detail oriented and cares for my dog as if it were her own. I feel completely comfortable leaving my anxious pup in Autumn’s care. The photos and videos Autumn sends us while she is pet sitting are wonderful to receive. We are so lucky to have found Autumn so we can go out of town without worrying.”

“Cayla was great with our dog Lacy, she was communicative and our pup was taken care of extremely well. She watched Lacy in our home, and not only respected Lacy, but kept our home clean and was respectful which is just as important. We will gladly use Cayla again and recommend her for anyone in the area!”

“Jennifer was amazing with our two dogs and cat! She sent plenty of updates with pictures and both the dogs looked so happy. Also came home to a clean house! Would definitely recommend Jennifer to anyone!”

“Jylesha took great care of my pets and my house. She was quick to respond when a sitter here backed out. After meeting her in person, it was clear she was perfect. She understood our hyper pup and bonded quickly with him.”

“I don't know about you, but after I've been away from home and my cats and dogs have had a pet-sitter, I like to think I can tell if they were happy and loved while I was gone. Caroline took care of our animals for a week while we were away and I'm 100% confident they had a great week without us. Caroline not only updated me twice/thrice daily; she also cleaned up and generally went threw extra mile to make sure our house was in order before she left. I'm very grateful that she managed everything so well during our absence. 3 cats and 2 dogs is a significant amount of work, and Caroline made me wonder if my pets would still care about me when we got back. I couldn't ask for anything more! Thank you Caroline!”

“Nate does a great job with our very active Aussie mix and takes him on lots of walks! We can tell our pup is very happy and had a great time. Bonus: both times he has stayed overnight he has left the house in perfect condition. We’re grateful to have found him!”

“Alysha was amazing! She helped us immensely when we had last minute thanksgiving plans and needed someone to care for our two kitties. She sent updates and the cats were clearly well cared for! She also left our apartment very clean. Thank you Alysha!!!”

About: I have grown up taking care of my own home pets including dogs, cats, goats, and chickens. I grew up around the barn while riding horses eventually starting a farm sitting business where I cared for cats, dogs, goats, ducks, chickens, horses, etc. I have worked on a cattle ranch for 4 years where I learned to work with many types of animals. During my experience in my animal science degree at NCSU I have worked with pigs, cows, horses, sheep, goats, etc. I absolutely love animals and look forward to working as a veterinarian! I am currently a student at NCSU in animal science with a veterinary bioscience concentration. My class schedule allows for some time during the week to spend doing what I love - taking care of animals! I am often available most in the afternoon of weekdays or on Saturdays. I love my dogs, cats, and chickens very much. In my home, some of our pets are indoor and some are kept outdoors, with equal love amongst them. With the dogs, I spend time playing fetch and going on walks.

“We used Rover for the first time this weekend and we chose Cassidy and she was fantastic, and took great care of our cat and 2 toy poodles. She stayed in our guest room and even stripped the bed and folded the quilt and sheets after using them. We will definitely will use Cassidy again!”

“Emily did a great job watching our 3 Kitties. She was even willing to walk our adventure Kitty. Our neighbors let us know of her good work. They all seemed in good spirits when we got home.”

“Maya is awesome! She sent me pics and updates, and I felt very comfortable that my baby was in good hands. My house was also very clean when I returned. Would definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve been a dog person since I was 8 — that’s when I got my first pup (her name is Levi), and let’s just say we’ve been inseparable ever since (she still thinks she’s the boss) When I’m home, I’m the go-to dog watcher in my family, and I’ve also helped care for friends’ and neighbors’ dogs over the years. Whether it’s playtime, belly rubs, or just chillin’ on the couch, I love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel totally at ease (it makes me at ease too!). Basically, if your dog needs a new best friend while you’re away — I’m your person! I work as a hostess but my schedule is light, when I do work it’s 4 hours a shift which makes me available consistently. I also am active and enjoy going on runs and walks so I happy to have a furry friend to join me. I treat every pet like my own. If my parents were to trust someone to watch my dog Levi I would hope they give her the best care possible. Levi is my family so I understand the trust it takes to have someone look after them!

West Raleigh pet parents share their Rover experiences
Madison is AMAZING! She took great care of our two dogs while we were on vacation and kept us updated throughout. She also left our house in pristine condition. It’s hard to find someone we trust with our dogs and Madison couldn’t have been a better find. Can’t recommend her enough!

Shelby was an excellent dog sitter! She administered medications, followed a difficult feeding routine and took our younger dog running! She was a great communicator sending photos and updates. She left the house spotless, watered plants, and even washed the sheets. I would highly recommend her!

Harmony was an absolute lifesaver! She stepped in at the last minute after our original sitter canceled unexpectedly. From the start, she was sweet, attentive, and communicative. She took wonderful care of both our apartment and our pets, and we came home to happy animals and a spotless space. We did have a small misunderstanding—which was totally my fault 🤦🏽♀️—but Harmony handled it with grace and professionalism. I truly hope she’s open to sitting for us again in the future. Highly recommend her!

Kira is an exceptional sitter. She took wonderful care of our home, but the best part was seeing how happy our dog, Raylan, was with her. She connected with him right away, and the beautiful photos and updates she sent were such a thoughtful and appreciated bonus. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands. We will definitely be booking Kira for all our future pet sitting!
