“Julie was wonderful! She came prior to our getaway to meet us and our animals. She kept us updated on how they were doing while we were gone and with pictures! My dogs seemed very comfortable with her! Grateful to have found her and look forward to more getaways now that we have a sitter!”

“George fell in love with Sara. She came to meet and great a couple times for us to get to know her and for George to get to know her as well. We got up dates and pictures a couple times a day as to how George was adjusting as he has never been left alone before. To have him in his own environment with all "his" things to keep him company was great! WE left instructions for Sara as to what when and where he ate, his likes and dislikes, his likes and what not! He was such a happy boy when we got home. All thanks to Sara treating him like her own. She stayed at our home to keep him company as well which, probably made George feel much safer. Came home to a clean house, she treated it like it was her own! Very much appreciated! Thank you so much Sara! We couldn't have accomplished our trip without you!”

“Amber was super communicative and flexible with our needs- we had 4 dogs with all different needs (senior dog, puppy, big & small) and she was the perfect person! She was able to do medications for one dog as well. We will definitely rebook & highly recommend if you're looking for a great person who cares about doing a great job!”

About: I grew up having pets all my life, and after high school started doing pet sitting occasionally. My pets have ranged from a Jacksons Chameleon, a few farm animals, and of course, dogs and cats! Two of my current animals are special needs, one with only 3 legs and one with a seizure disorder, so I’m well versed in animals that need a little *extra* care! I currently work part time as a nanny, so I have more than enough time for drop-ins to take care of your pets and give them all the love, cuddles, and treats they may need! I care for pets in YOUR home and treat it as if you’re one of my nanny clients. I’ll follow your pets daily routine when it comes to food, walks, meds, etc and leave enough time for cuddles as well making sure the house is left clean from any pet accidents or pet messes.
“Genesis was fantastic. We needed a dog sitter last minute and she was quick to respond. Our pups were well taken care of and she did a great job communicating to us on how things were going while we were gone! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

About: I have been on Rover for over a year now and have fallen in love with pet sitting! I have several repeat clients who I love. I have always had dogs in my house and I am currently raising my puppy Roy! I feel as though pets have more feelings than humans so I make sure to give them special attention! I am a full time student at Clemson University and work a part time job so when i’m away from those i always make sure to spend time playing with my dog and taking care of him. I love to be around and let him hangout with me anytime I can since he’s so sweet and funny! I typically find myself watching a few pets every month! I always give pets as much attention as they will let me. I feel as though feedings schedules and daily walks and attention are necessary for animals. I also like to make sure they have clean food and water and plenty of it! I also make sure to pay special attention to their body language and can change my routines or anything they may need to make them more comfortable.
“Misty is fabulous. She did two overnight house-sitting visits with our kitty. Excellent communicator, sent pics and updates. Came home to a clean house and happy kitty. Highly recommend.”

“It was a pleasure to work with Christine. This was my first time using Rover and I was so nervous.. Christine made the process easy and comfortable. Typically I bring Apollo with me where ever I go but let’s face it, that can be a lot of extra work. I needed to leave out of town unexpectedly and it was so nice to know Apollo was home in his own environment. Extra huge perk coming home to my house looking clean! Thanks Christine!”

About: I bring both professional animal experience and genuine compassion to pet care. I recently graduated with a degree in Animal Science from North Carolina A&T State University and currently work as a veterinary assistant. I’m comfortable handling pets with different personalities, needs, and medical conditions. I have experience giving oral medications and caring for animals of all ages. Growing up on a farm and working hands on with animals throughout college has helped me become patient, attentive, and confident around animals of all sizes. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I currently work full-time as a veterinary assistant. I have spent years caring for animals both personally and professionally. I’m available Sundays and most weekdays after 5 PM, which makes me a great option for evening walks, drop-in visits, and weekend care. I’m used to balancing animal care responsibilities throughout my day and enjoy providing pets with attentive, reliable, and compassionate care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention and exercise. I make sure they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I also pay close attention to behavior changes and overall wellness since I have experience working as a veterinary assistant. I’m comfortable administering oral medications if needed and caring for pets with different energy levels and personalities. I also make sure to keep the home clean, secure, and respected while providing updates and photos for peace of mind.
“Shirley was wonderful. She stayed at our home and took great care of our dog while we were away. She was kind, respectful of the house, and very easy to communicate with. We came back to a happy dog and everything exactly as we left it. We would absolutely have her sit for us again and highly recommend her.”

About: Hi! I’m Mayson, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including high-energy and anxious dogs. I also have experience with cats, farm animals, chickens, and other small animals. Along with pet sitting, I also have experience working with animal shelters, which has helped me become comfortable handling a wide variety of animals and personalities. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m reliable, attentive, and love keeping owners updated with pictures and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re gone! Pet care is a regular part of my weekly routine. I work morning shifts from 5:30am–1:00pm, but I still plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they get consistent attention, exercise, and care. My work schedule does not affect my ability to do overnight stays. I’m flexible and make time daily for feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins depending on each pet’s needs and routine. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. I have experience from both pet sitting and working with animal shelters, so I’m confident handling a wide range of personalities and needs. In a client’s home, I also make sure to keep everything clean, respectful, and stress-free so pets feel safe in their own environment.
“I just moved to South Carolina a month ago and had to be away a couple of days this past weekend. I was quite anxious having to find someone to stay in my home and take care of my sweet, Nala. She is older, is a rescue, is a large dog, and the move was alot for her. I arranged a meet with Jerry and I was at ease right away; more importantly, Nala was at ease right away. I think dogs sense immediately if a person is a good fit or not. The day I had to leave, Jerry showed up on time (a bit early, actually, which I truly appreciated) and Nala was very excited to see him. Jerry sent many pictures and texts about how things were going over the two days, let me know when he had to leave for awhile and communicated when he was back. Nala needs alot of love and Jerry was attentive and very willing to give affection to her. The stay could not have gone better. Jerry was also very respective of my home and took good care of everything while I was gone. I highly recommend Jerry and am grateful I found him on Rover.”

“She helped us out with a last minute house sitting request - was on time, communicated well with text and pictures, and our Coda took to her instantly which made us very happy. Will definitely hire Karlie again in the future!”

“Shannon was absolutely wonderful. Took such great care of our pup and the house looks better than when we left. She sent us daily photos and updates. Truly made our trip less stressful knowing our pup was in good hands.”

“Michelle did an outstanding job taking care of not only my pet but my home. Would recommend and will be contacting her again to take care of my dog which I believe is the highest compliment. Thanks, Michelle!”

“Crystal watched my dog for a couple days while I was out of town. She was very communicative and sent me updates. She followed all my instructions as my dog is older and has some special needs. I had a flight delay and she even offered to come back to take him out. I can tell she loves animals. I would book her again.”

“Judy took really good care of my fur babies and they really liked her because they both slept with her. They don't sleep in bed with just anyone. The house was just the way we left it. Will definitely use her again. Thank you!!”
