“Lauren does such a great job with our pups and is so helpful with anything else that needs to be done like brining in the mail and communicating any questions. Happy to continue to rebook with her!”

“Awesome first time experience with Tracie. She did overnights and spent so much time (almost all of it) there with my dog during the day. I got lots of pictures and updates and felt super comfortable with her level of care and service.”

“Amber always is so accommodating and wonderful with the animals. We have booked Amber for drop ins multiple times but this was our first time having her house sit for us and she did wonderful as always”

“Jana was absolutely amazing. Hands down the best. Far superior care compared to any one else we have had watch our pets. The communication and level of care she provided exceeded expectations. Our pets loved her and we do not trust anyone else to take care of our pets now!”

About: I'm a cat enthusiast! I would love to operate a cat sanctuary one day. I've been caring for animals almost my entire life and currently have two cats (ages 9 & 2.5) and one dog of my own (age 12). I will show your babies nothing but love (including your dogs!!). I know how hard it can be to trust others with your fur babies but I promise to take great care of them. I currently work full-time (9am-5:30pm M-F) from home and am able to make stops before and after work. I have most weekends free and am flexible for whatever care you need. I will follow whatever instructions you have for caring for your pets. If in my home, I do have a fenced in yard to make it easier for dogs to run around and use the bathroom. I have an extra room/office space to keep cats separate from my own. I currently have a feeding schedule for my own pets (morning & evening). I ensure my cats have a clean litterbox by scooping every morning and night. I take my dog out every few hours during the day for potty breaks and try and go on at least one walk a day. I love to walk so it's often more than once a day. We keep lots of toys in the home and I try and play with them a couple times a day if not more.
“Misty is fabulous. She did two overnight house-sitting visits with our kitty. Excellent communicator, sent pics and updates. Came home to a clean house and happy kitty. Highly recommend.”

About: With 20 years of experience as a devoted pet owner, I know how much love and care our furry friends need. Whether it’s playtime, belly rubs, or quiet companionship, I’m ready to make your pet feel at home! As a stay-at-home mom who homeschooled my kids, I’m home most days and have a flexible schedule. If your pet is staying with me for daycare, I can let them out into my fenced backyard every 2 to 4 hours for potty breaks and playtime — and if they need more frequent attention, I’m happy to adjust to their needs. If I’m caring for your pet at your home, I can visit as often as needed to walk them, feed them, and make sure they’re comfortable. I’m also happy to clean litter boxes and provide any extra care your pet may need! If I’m caring for your dog at my home for daycare, they’ll have a safe and fun environment with access to my fenced backyard for play and potty breaks. I’ll make sure they’re well-fed, comfortable, and happy throughout their stay. If I’m visiting your home, I’m happy to walk your dog, take them out for potty breaks, feed them, and provide plenty of attention and care. I can also clean litter boxes and make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away.
“So I picked Sally by reviews and profile. Let me just say that Sally was absolutely amazing!! I was stress free during my trip. She went above and beyond for my two dogs!! She visited my house twice to meet my dogs ( they are very nervous meeting new people) before initially staying over my house. She sent me updates and pics daily. It was such a stress free trip knowing she was there. I can't wait to book with her again for our next trip!!!! - she even took our mail/trash in and fed my fish!!! Thank you sally for everything!!!”

About: I’ve owned big and small dogs! From a pit bull to a terrier. Took care of my susy girl for 10 years, she was diabetic so i am experienced with medication and injections. I am a student and work full time in the afternoons but I am free every Thursday and Fridays! and Sunday to Wednesday from 11-2pm. I can drop by or dog sit. I have one small friendly terrier who lives inside and is welcoming to all pets. 4 friendly cats. Fenced yard! Furniture friendly to all fur babies
“I cannot recommend Chris highly enough. He was professional and kind. When we did our meet and greet my dogs were in love with him from the get go. He went above and beyond while looking after them. He sent me numerous pictures, took them on long walks (even though he didn’t have to) and let me know when one of my dogs meds was starting to run low. Chris is a rockstar and I am looking forward to working with him in the future”

“Wonderful sitter who took great care of all my cats of varying ages, moods and neediness - and a dog in the mix! Shianne was very thoughtful and shared pictures and updates every day, so I never had to worry about a thing!”

“We had an amazing experience with Lori! She stayed at our home and cared for our two dogs/two cats while we were away. One of our dogs had recently undergone surgery and required medications, rehab exercises, constant monitoring, and a very specific care routine. She took the time to come by before our trip to learn everything and handled his care flawlessly. Throughout our trip, she kept us updated with photos and messages, stayed incredibly organized, and communicated wonderfully. What impressed us most was the level of care and dedication she showed. Not only during our trip, but also by checking in on our dog’s recovery afterward. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring. Very grateful will 100% be booking with her again!”

“Riley was so great as a house/pet sitter. She spoiled our pets and took great care of our home. Our dog loves car rides so she took her on one every day (even got pup cups)! She even washed her sheets on her last day. We already booked her for another trip we have planned. Highly recommend!”

“Cindy is amazing!! She kept me up-to-date on Riley all throughout the weekend and sent the cutest pictures of her. She took such good care of Riley and the house. I felt so good knowing that Riley was in good and loving hands. I highly recommend her and look forward to having Cindy again!”

“She helped us out with a last minute house sitting request - was on time, communicated well with text and pictures, and our Coda took to her instantly which made us very happy. Will definitely hire Karlie again in the future!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. Throughout my life there has always been a dog in my home and 3 dogs at once for the most. My family has rescued dogs and given them the best second chance at life possible! Those dogs have come from horrible conditions and were met with countless walks, treats, and cuddles when they found their forever home with my family and I. My animal care experience ranges from puppies as young as 6 weeks old and senior dogs who need regular medication. My love for animals has extended far beyond my own as my friends rely on me to watch their pets when they cannot. My love for animals can even be seen in my education as I am minoring in assistance dog training at my university. This program has given me countless hours of caring for puppies and training dogs around 1 1/2 years old to be service dogs. I have extensive education in dog behavior and training and love finding ways to involve animals in my daily life. I have a singular dog in my home right now but am free throughout the day to check in and walk your pets! I have a few dog sitting gigs throughout the summer but plenty of time during the day to make sure your pets needs are met! I have one dog in my home and she is treated like a queen! We regularly play outside, get pup cups, go for walks, and cuddle on the couch. I am always finding excuses to buy her new toys and take silly pictures of her. When I am taking care of clients pets I treat them like my own while following the owners specific guidelines. I am good at sticking to feeding timelines and giving medication if that is needed. I love them like my own so they are happy while their owners are away.
“Luke was amazing! He was very communicative and sent us photos daily. Came back to a pristine house and a happy healthy dog. We will definitely be using Luke again for future trips.”

“Wesleigh did a wonderful job watching my dog, Waldo! She stayed at my house while I was away, which made the whole experience much less stressful for both of us. Waldo doesn’t like to be left without me, so I always worry about how he’ll do when I’m gone—but when I got home he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I could tell he really enjoyed Wesleigh’s company, which gave me peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy a few carefree days away. It’s obvious she took great care of him and made sure he felt comfortable while I was gone. I would absolutely recommend Wesleigh to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter, and I’d happily book with her again!”

Jana has watched all my fur babies and house multiple times. (have 2 dogs and 2 cats) Great communication and very respectful. I have a dog recovering from surgery who she did great with-from the medication to give him extra love and care. Will definitely be booking again! Thank you!

Adrianna did an amazing job for us. We had a long stay of 9 days and she hung with our two dogs the whole time. She let them warm up to her in their own time and we came home to happy pups and a clean home. I would use her services again and recommend her to anyone!

This was my first time having someone care for my cats at home. Shelly was wonderful. She kept me updated every day and sent pictures as well. I have had many pets over the years and this was the best pet care experience I have ever had. Thank you, Shelley for all that you did to care for my cats so that I could relax and enjoy my vacation!

FAQs for House Sitting - Powdersville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Powdersville on Rover is $60 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,020 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Powdersville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Powdersville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Powdersville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Powdersville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
