About: Hi, I have been professionally pet-sitting and a dog mom for over twenty years. My family had dogs and cats from the time I was born. I helped care for newborn golden retriever puppies when my mom was a breeder when I was in middle school. I have experience with senior dogs with health challenges, including my sweet lab mix who lived to be 15 as well as a few pet sitting clients who have needed special attention. I have a gorgeous pit bull named Jade who vacations at my parents house when I am pet sitting in your home. I currently work up to six hour shifts at a restaurant. If your pets need breaks more often than that, I need a couple of weeks notice to make sure I can be off work. I am in transition from grad school to private practice as a marriage and family therapist, and I intend to pet sit as I gradually get my practice up and running and increase clients. I will continue to be available for in home pet sitting, staying at your home at least part time throughout the day. ***I do not smoke and am sensitive to strong chemical perfumes, so I will not bring anything like that into your environment. I can’t pet sit in smoking homes or homes that have mold, musty smells, or strong air freshener perfumes. These things are generally not an issue for short drop-in visits or walks.
About: I have lived my whole like with dogs and have learned to properly take care of them. I live with my dog and he is a cuddly and friendly dog. He has taught me well on how to give dogs affection and I think that’s my strong suit! My dog now has bad allergies and frequent medical issues, so I’m well versed in specialized care and treatment as well. I understand leaving your pet with someone can be difficult, and I want to make sure you know the love and care I will give to your fur babies! , I take care of my dog (yellow lab) 24/7 by feeding, caring, bathing him, etc. I always am able to get stay on top of his needs and learn his different body cues. My lab also has medical issues, such as yeast and severe allergies which I do give him medication and provide physical relief through prevention and replacing his biting of himself to me petting the area. I also care for my mom’s dog (boxer mix) when they’re busy or at work. He is very energetic so for him I try to keep engaged. I will follow the instructions from the owner first! Before I do anything that I’m not certain of I will communicate before hand. I am good with household tasks such as cleaning!
