About: Dogs have been part of my life for many years. While living in England, I helped care for a Golden Retriever, and later, in Spain, I cared for a Yorkshire Terrier. After spending over 12 wonderful years with my own Golden Retriever, Kobi, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your dog like family. Kobi was my adventure partner and best friend. Together, we explored hiking trails, beaches, kayaking trips, road trips from Maine to Florida, and countless daily walks. He showed me how important exercise, enrichment, routine, and companionship are for a happy dog. For over five years, I also organized dog hikes throughout Westchester County, NY, and Fairfield County, CT. These adventures gave dogs the opportunity to exercise, explore, socialize, and enjoy time outdoors in a safe and structured environment. In addition, I have professional experience working in a commercial dog daycare, where I supervised groups of up to 30 small and medium-sized dogs, as well as puppy groups of up to 7 puppies under 4 months old. This experience taught me how to read canine body language, recognize stress signals, manage group dynamics, and provide safe, attentive care. My experience is strongest with Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Doodles, Cavaliers, and similar companion breeds that benefit from individualized attention, enrichment, exercise, and companionship. For home daycare and boarding, I intentionally keep things small and personal. I currently do not have a dog of my own and only accept one guest dog at a time, two dogs from the same family, or up to two compatible puppies. This allows me to provide close supervision and individualized attention. My home includes a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time. I live in a two-family home, and my apartment is located on the second floor, so dogs should be comfortable using stairs. A playpen is available for puppies and young dogs who benefit from additional structure and rest periods. For the safety and comfort of everyone involved, I require a meet-and-greet before accepting any new client. This allows us to make sure your dog is comfortable with me and that we are a good fit for each other. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I am self-employed as a bookkeeper and real estate agent, which allows me to work primarily from home and maintain a flexible schedule. While I occasionally leave the house for appointments, errands, or property showings, I am able to plan my schedule around the needs of the pets in my care. This flexibility allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, companionship, and close supervision for dogs staying in my home. I provide a safe, calm, and personalized environment with plenty of individual attention. My home has a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, and I live just a 5-minute walk from wooded trails for walks and adventures. Dogs have access to a comfortable sofa, toys, and puzzle games for enrichment and mental stimulation. I live in a second-floor apartment, so dogs should be comfortable using stairs. I only accept 1 dogs at a time or 2 from the same family to ensure each dog receives plenty of supervision, exercise, and companionship.

“Kristine was an exemplary and loving sitter. We felt very much at ease leaving our Luna girl with her. She was extremely communicative with us, sending pictures of Luna and letting us know how Luna was settling in and having fun over the course of her stay. Her attentiveness shows that she puts herself into the dog owner’s shoes and that goes a long way! It was our first time leaving Luna for an extended amount of time and it was tremendous peace of mind for us knowing she was in the perfect place–a home in a tree lined quiet residential area with barely any traffic with a caring person and family. Luna is an elderly dog and Kristine was gentle and sensitive to Luna’s needs as she moves more slowly than a puppy or a toddler dog! She also connected with us to take Luna to our vet nearby to check on something with her paw and included us on all communications to ensure she was taking all the right steps for Luna’s wellbeing. About: Hello, My name is Candice. I am a fur Momma to two Dogs. Princess Lola is a 7 year old Chocolate Labrador who is my gentle giant. She enjoys long walks with her dog friends and playing with her human brothers and sisters. Scrappy is a 14 year old Westie/ Bischon Frise mix who enjoys snuggles from his family and his bed. He is blind but navigates and acts like he can see. I did have a third fur baby that crossed the rainbow bridge last year as he lost his fight with cancer. My Brodie was a 13 year old Long Haired Chihuahua/ Papillon mix and in his younger years enjoyed playing nose soccer with his family. In his senior life he enjoyed snuggling up with his brother Scrappy most. My husband Craig and I are raising our 4 children ages 4-11. They have lived their entire lives with dogs. We are a family of dog lovers and cant wait to meet your fur babies. I have experience in caring for dogs ages ranging from puppy to senior. I also have experience administering oral medication. I have been a stay at home mother and homemaker for the past 11 years which allows me to have a very flexible schedule to care for your dog. I offer a variety of services. Outdoor dog walking from little to no incline for older dogs or dogs with walking difficulties to uphill or hiking for more active and energetic dogs. I can provide care in my home with my family or care in your home for play time, feedings, or to give medicine.
