About: I have extensive experience caring for animals because I truly love them. In my home country, the Dominican Republic, I cared for three Yorkshire dogs, a cat, four cockatoos, and a horse. I have also rescued abandoned animals, supported their recovery, and placed them in responsible adoptive homes. I am patient, reliable, and very attentive to each pet's individual needs. Pet care is my full-time job, so it is my main daily focus. I provide in-home care and am available throughout the day to offer constant attention, supervision, walks, timely feedings, playtime, and companionship. I carefully follow each pet's routine and individual needs to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and at home. When caring for pets in my home, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. My home is a calm, clean, and pet-safe environment. I make sure to remove any potential hazards and keep doors and areas secure at all times. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions, including feeding, walks, medication, and specific routines. I provide constant supervision, loving attention, and a comfortable space where pets feel relaxed and at home.

Grace was excellent with our dog, Leni. He had some serious separation anxiety when we dropped him off and went on a hunger strike for several days. Not only did Grace keep us hell informed, she went above and beyond in trying to make Leni feel comfortable in her home and went as far as spoon feeding him to get him to eat. We're so thankful for all that she did to take care of Leni. I would highly recommend Grace to anyone looking for a loving and caring home in which to leave their pup while traveling. Thank you, Grace!!

Kevin and his family were great dog sitters! They had our dog in their house for the weekend and she seemed to love it there. She had a chair she sat in, they took her on great walks and overall followed her routine. We would definitely use them again!

Our dog has stayed with Nina and Augustine many times and she is incredibly happy there. They treat their boarding dogs like cherished members of the family! Our dog Daisy used to be hesitant about staying with someone else and would cling to me. Now when we walk up to Nina and Augustine's house she's pulling at the leash and pawing at the door to try to get inside! They are trustworthy, reliable, and so great about communication and sending photos. I would without hesitation recommend them for dog boarding or any animal care.

Kathleen is a wonderful pet sitter who takes excellent care of our furry troop! Right off the bat when we first met her we got an excellent first impression. She is very warm and friendly and was great with our pets! When we came home after our vacation our pets were relaxed and happy. During our time away Kathleen sent us photos of our babies having fun which was really nice 🙂 I look forward to booking Kathleen again in the future!! Thanks for doing such a great job, keep up the great work!! 🩷

Sara and her home were the perfect fit for our anxious dog, Mazie. Sara is very knowledgeable about dogs, their behaviors, and how to handle them. She successfully gave Mazie medication 3 times a day and prepared special meals for her. We received photos via text while we were away showing how happy and acclimated Mazie was there. We have already booked another stay with Sara. Thank you Sara!!!

I don't think my dogs wanted to leave which was a great sign and exactly what I wanted for them while I was away. Suzanne and her family were wonderful to my dogs, were very responsive and took great pictures to assure me while I was away. I think the best compliment is a referral I already recommended her to the couple we were traveling with. Book Suzanne if she is available.

Sunny was also incredibly accommodating when our flight was delayed and we were late picking Ruby up. Most importantly, Ruby was a very happy dog when we picked her up! Highly recommend Sunny.

We felt confident that Samson would be safe in Natacha's care, and he was. We will be using her again in the future to care for Samson. Could not have asked for a better sitter!

About: Looking for more than just a quick walk or a busy kennel? I provide personalized, one-on-one care tailored to your dog's personality, age, and energy level. Whether your dog enjoys a neighborhood walk, a wooded trail hike, a sniff walk, puzzle games, fetch, or simply relaxing with companionship, my goal is to make every visit enjoyable, enriching, and stress-free. I have over 14 years of hands-on experience with dogs, including supervising groups of up to 30 dogs in a professional dog daycare and caring for puppy groups under 4 months old. For more than five years, I also organized dog hikes throughout Westchester County, NY, and Fairfield County, CT, giving dogs a safe, structured, and fun way to exercise and explore. My experience is strongest with Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Doodles, Cavaliers, and other friendly companion breeds that thrive with individualized attention, exercise, enrichment, and companionship. While I welcome many different breeds, I always schedule a meet-and-greet first to make sure we're the right fit for each other. My own Golden Retriever, Kobi, was my best friend and adventure partner for over 12 years. Together we explored hiking trails, beaches, kayaking trips, road trips from Maine to Florida, and countless daily walks. He taught me that every dog is an individual with unique needs, and that is exactly how I care for every dog I meet. I believe many dogs are happier with personalized care than large-group environments. Over the years, I have learned to read canine body language, recognize stress signals, manage different personalities, and create a calm environment where dogs feel safe and comfortable. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, oral medications, and dogs that simply need extra patience and attention. My home has a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time and is just a five-minute walk from beautiful wooded trails. I intentionally keep boarding and daycare small by accepting only one guest dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family, so every dog receives plenty of supervision, affection, exercise, and individual attention. I also have a playpen available for puppies and young dogs who benefit from structured rest time. My apartment is on the second floor, so dogs should be be comfortable using stairs. While living in England, I helped care for a Golden Retriever, and later in Spain, I cared for a Yorkshire Terrier. These experiences, together with years of owning dogs, leading dog hikes, and working professionally in dog daycare, have given me experience with many different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. My approach combines practical experience with a calm, patient mindset. I am certified in Reiki and Emotion Code energy work and believe dogs thrive when they feel safe, understood, and respected. While every visit focuses first on your dog's physical needs, I also pay close attention to their emotional well-being. Services I offer: • Dog walking • Adventure walks and hikes (up to 2 hours) • 30-60 minute drop-in visits • Puppy visits and enrichment activities • Limited home daycare • Limited boarding for approved dogs For everyone's safety and comfort, I require a meet-and-greet before accepting new clients. I look forward to meeting you and giving your dog the same love, attention, and care that I gave my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I am self-employed as a bookkeeper and real estate agent, which allows me to work primarily from home and maintain a flexible schedule. While I occasionally leave the house for appointments, errands, or property showings, I am able to plan my schedule around the needs of the pets in my care. This flexibility allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, companionship, and close supervision for dogs staying in my home. I provide a safe, calm, and personalized environment with plenty of individual attention. My home has a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, and I live just a 5-minute walk from wooded trails for walks and adventures. Dogs have access to a comfortable sofa, toys, and puzzle games for enrichment and mental stimulation. I live in a second-floor apartment, so dogs should be comfortable using stairs. I only accept 1 dogs at a time or 2 from the same family to ensure each dog receives plenty of supervision, exercise, and companionship.

As a pet sitter myself, I am quite picky about who I let care for my beloved pup. Crystal not only accommodated our last minute boarding request, but also welcomed us inside to make sure our dog felt comfortable and to answer our questions. She also provided daily updates and photos showing how content my dog was in her care. If we were local, we would 100% be regulars - that's how wonderful Crystal is! She exceeded expectations and has set a high bar for any future sitters. I cannot recommend her enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
