About: A lifelong lover of animals of all kinds, I recently moved to the Cape with my 14 year old cat, Anya. I’ve had cats on and off my whole life, and for eleven wonderful years shared my life with a rabbit named Fiona. I have experience caring for special needs (Anya has IBD and Fiona was blind in her later years) and administering medications. I have enjoyed pet sitting for friends and neighbors, and am also a volunteer at a wildlife rescue where I help care for raptors, turtles, snakes, and an absolute queen of a porcupine. While I love dogs, I have less experience with them, so would be better fitted to smaller and/or calmer canines while I get some more experience under my belt. As an overprotective cat mom, I can assure you that I will care for your fur children as if they were my own, will follow your instructions to the letter, and will stay in communication with you so that you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your little ones. I’ve recently moved to the Cape and currently have lots of availability. I can currently not offer overnights, as I have my own fur child to care for, but would love to come for extended visits or walks! I will follow your instructions meticulously. I am used to caring for injured birds, so am extremely conscientious about making sure animals stay safe in their homes and on the leash.

About: Senior pets have a special place in my heart. I’ve had pets my whole life, growing up with two dogs, (A golden, named princess and a Vizsla, named Ruby Rose) and a handful of kitties whom I’ve loved till their 9th life. I am comfortable with administering medications, following specific diets, and attending to your pet’s unique quirks and specificities! I have dog-sat for friends and neighbors over the years, and I also pet sit on Trusted House Sitters I’m off work this summer, so pet care fits easily into my day! Mornings, afternoons, evenings, whatever works best for your pet’s routine. I focus on keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible: same feeding schedule, same walk times. I’m attentive to details like locking doors and gates, keeping food/water fresh, and watching for any signs of stress or illness. I treat your home with the same care and respect I’d want for my own
“Elizabeth took special care of Dahlia and Bubby. She sent pictures everyday and showed Dalia cat TV. I am very pleased with Elizabeth and would definitely use her again. It felt like I was leaving my pets with a trusted friend”

About: I’m a lifetime animal lover, and get along terrifically well with dogs. My house is the go-to for friends and family needing a place for their pups to stay. I am retired with volunteer jobs part-time (2mornings), during the week. I’m never away from home for more than a few hours during which time my dog-friendly feline can either ignore your dog or keep them company. Im home the majority of the time. Cozy corner in my den for bed. Seems to be everyone’s favorite hangout. Living room has multiple Sunny-spots Several neighborhood walks a day and if dog and owner are willing, I go to Thompson’s field in Harwich where they can romp.
“Sarah always takes such good care of my elderly cat Lucy. I can tell she's comfortable with Sarah in the pics she sends me when I'm gone and when I get home everything is just the way I left it.”

“Sarah was amazing with our Rosie girl. She’s with us all the time and has some separation anxiety. Sarah made Rosie feel safe and loved. She especially loved her long walks! The pictures you get are extra special! Highly recommend.”

“Tracey is a gem! She gave detailed recaps of the visits and gave my kitty so much love and attention. She was quick to respond and work with my schedule. It was such a relief to know my cat was in good hands while I was away. Would definitely use Tracey in the future!”

“Caitlin was awesome! She took great care of our dog and was very understanding and accommodating when we needed to modify our service. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Stefanie was great! My cat is not an easy customer but Stefanie got the job done exactly as I asked, while giving my kitty the space she needs. I was able to have peace of mind while I was away on vacation.”

“Sabrina was great!! We needed her in a pinch when our regular am Rover sitter broke her ankle. She was prompt, communicated well with me with questions, and worked well with my pet.”

“Skyla did great with our three cats. Typically our cat Hades can be shy around new people. However, he walked up to Skyla right away. She made our cats feel very comfortable and safe. She also sent pictures so we could see how they were doing.”

About: I have experience in large, medium and small dogs and cats. As a former worker at an animal hospital, I have of experience administering injections, and strict diets for senior pets. Also experienced in caring for young and energetic pets. I currently work from home and make my own schedule. So I’m often available most hours of the day for dog walks and feeding of all pets. I have much experience caring for all ages and sizes of dogs and cats, who require injections, inhalers and strict diets, or who are young and full of energy.
“Sadie was awesome!! I felt so comfortable leaving my fur baby I’m her hands this week. Know she was taking him along with the other dogs made me feel so happy and less guilty about not being home. I highly recommend anyone needing care for their dog you will not be disappointed ❤️”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Harwich
Nick did a great job taking care of our cat, Kazoo. He gave Kazoo his medicines as instructed and spent a little extra time with him. The litter boxes were cleaned as well. I forgot to stop the mail so he brought that in also. Nick is reliable and responsive to communications. And he is a cat lover …no complaints from the cat. 🐱

We are grateful and appreciate the care that Sally gave to our cat Sophie while we were away. We returned home to a relaxed kitty. Sophie is an old cat. We've had her for two years, and have never left her for longer than twelve hours. We would recommend Sally to anyone who has to leave their pet overnight. Sally also took the time before we even booked with Rover to determine whether the best care for Sophie would be drop in visits or care in Sally's home. The decision was drop in care. Thank you Sally.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
