About: I am entering my senior year at the University of Rhode Island, earning a degree in animal science, specializing in zoo and aquarium animal science with a focus on behavior and training. The classes I have taken at the university focus on animal biology, care, management, and behavior. I have had many animal care experiences ranging from cats and dogs, aquatic species at the Mystic Aquarium, and most recently caring for a geriatric elephant (so large dogs don’t scare me :))! Throughout my life I have had many pets from cats and dogs, to small mammals and reptiles. I have also had some experience training various animals, such as cats, chickens, bears and elephants! I have the basic skills to train using operant conditioning and positive reinforcement. I am working a part time summer job at a restaurant mostly working at night. I am available to do drop in visits throughout the day. I will not be able to take your pets into my home because I have pets of my own. About: I foster dogs in my free time so know how to house train, crate train, and leash train. I am very active and would love to have a pet to take with me on my outings. I love spoiling dogs and will play with them till both of us nap on the couch together. I'm currently working as a fish scientist focusing on Chinook Salmon. I have a flexible schedule working both nights and days. I usually get off work early, and nighttime work would mean I am free for a little floof (aka pet) to take care of. I work Monday-Thursday, but my partner works from home so will be with them all day. I am very active and usually try and get outside multiple times a day.
