“Andrea and Bob truly went above and beyond watching my mini bernedoodle while I visited friends on the cape! Penny was in heaven and hopes to be back soon!”

“Julie is a dedicated and warmly caring person whose care of my two dogs while I was away in Europe went over and above the expected. She was especially attentive to my sweet old 16+ year old Wheaten, showing just how well she knows how to meet the needs of a senior dog. Thank you, Julie!”

She was so flexible in scheduling time for us to visit Ruby during the month and great at communicating with us. Ruby LOVED staying at Chelsea’s and was actually really sad for a few days when we got home. Would absolutely book with Chelsea again, thank you so much for taking such amazing care of our girl! ??”

I am very happy with everything and would contact Marcia first if I need someone to look after my dog in the future.”

“Madaket watched our dog Cooper for a week, and was wonderful! She sent us photos each day showing the days activities which included going for walks, playing with her dog Bermuda, and just relaxing. When Cooper came home to us, he was relaxed and happy (unlike when he had been boarded elsewhere). Not only can we highly recommend Madaket to watch your pet, but we have already booked Cooper to be with her again for a couple more stays.”

“Clare is absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond in every way and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. It was clear she genuinely cares about the animals in her charge, and we came home to one very happy pup. We will 100% be booking with Clare again and cannot recommend her highly enough!”

About: I have spent my entire life around dogs, but my professional experience sets me apart when it comes to reading and handling animals. For almost 3 years I worked as a Pet Care Specialist. I was responsible for the specialized daily care, behavioral monitoring, and medical treatment of all sorts of animals; birds, reptiles, small mammals, fish, etc. I am experienced and comfortable administering medication and recognizing signs of illness, in the case that you have a dog with specialized needs. Today, I work professionally as a dog groomer. Every day I work hands on with dogs of all sizes ages, and temperaments. Because of this, I have the experience and patience necessary to deal with anxiety prone dogs, high energy balls of chaos, puppies who haven't yet learned manners, and senior dogs who need gentle care. I'm confident I can meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be, and ensure their stay with me is as comfortable as possible. I'm also happy to provide my available grooming services if that's of any interest to you! I work 8 hour shifts at the grooming salon, and I am free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which gives me full, dedicated days to spend at home with your dog(s). For the days I am at work, a responsible family member will always be available at the house, to assist with potty breaks or just to hang out. Your pup will only ever be alone if they want to be. This allows me to provide boarding any day of the week! My home is fully equipped to be a safe, fun, and adaptable "home away from home" for your dog. Here is what you can expect during their stay: Secure & Spacious Play: We have a large, fenced backyard where your dog can safely run and play. We are located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood right next door to a large recreational field/park with a walking trail. For more adventurous pups, we also have excellent wooded trails nearby as well. Socialization & Companionship: My family will be more than happy to provide extra human interaction throughout the day if your dog is seeking it. We also have 2 friendly resident dogs (a gentle, senior Shih Tzu who mostly minds her own business, and a social English Pointer who will be happy to make new friends) and 2 cats who are well accustomed to dogs, but will mostly keep to themselves. Separation When Needed: While socialization is great, it's not for everyone. If your dog is anxious, or just feeling overwhelmed, I have my own private, dedicated space where they can get away from all the hubbub of the household, and enjoy some downtime. I am also fully able to accommodate crate-trained dogs if that's something they prefer. They are also more than welcome to share my furniture if they're more of a lap-dog type! As a professional pet handler, I promise to stay aware of your dog's body language and ensure they're recieving the best care possible. Their safety and peace of mind are my top priority.
“Alyna was great! She took our dog with short notice and did a great job. He is a 9 month golden retriever and has a lot of energy, and she handled him very well. Would definitely recommend!”

“Can’t say enough good things about Karen! We just moved here and were so nervous to find a good sitter.. Right off the bat Karen was so gentle and kind with Goldie, sent tons of picture updates, was quick to respond, and I never once felt worried or anxious! Also her dog Juni is the sweetest dog on the planet :) even with their size difference Goldie and Juni became sweet friends!”

“Cindi is an absolute professional; she is very communicative and organized. Her house is clean and she only takes one family at a time so that she can give your dog(s) all the attention and care that they individually need. A wonderful experience and we look forward to using her again!”
“Kellie is WONDERFUL! She took a chance on Mollie, our 3-year-old rescue Sheepadoodle, who would be staying in a new place for the first time without her older "sister" and guiding star, Sophy. We were worried Mollie's quirks would prove too much, but Kellie and her family proved us wrong. They believed in her, reinforced her confidence, and provided a loving temporary home. She thrived in their household the week we were away, and we still see the effects of her new-found confidence. We can't thank Kellie enough!”

“Jenny took care of Ace within last minute need. She was amazing. Ace liked her from the moment he met her. She kept me in the loop about how Ace is doing and send pictures Proffesional and kind. Thanks Jenny See you in the summer.”

“Maria is so sweet and caring. She has a genuine love of animals and it’s evident in the way she treated my fur baby. I highly recommend Maria for all your dog sitting needs. I’ll definitely contact her again.”

“Andrea and Bob’s love for animals was evident from the start. They provide photos and updates regularly whenever our little Maggie stays with them. When we drop Maggie off at their house she is so excited and eager to go in. We feel fortunate to have Andrea and Bob take care of our little Yorkie whenever we need them to.”

“Gus had a wonderful day with Chelsea! Loved that she had a fenced in yard for him to play in and appreciated the photos and feedback during the day. When I picked him up he seemed like he didn’t want to leave, which made me feel good that he enjoyed the time. I got him home and he went right to sleep! Sign of lots of fun had! Very grateful for the care she provided and will definitely book again!”

About: I’ve lived with, cared for and loved pets for my whole life. I’ve been helping friends, family members and neighbors with their dogs for many years. Having just lost my beloved dog of the last 11 years, I truly miss the company and would love to spend time with and help someone out with theirs. I'm a reliable, easy going person who genuinely loves spending time with pups of all shapes and sizes. Whether your dog is full of zoomies or prefers a slow sniff-and-stroll, I'm happy to match their vibe. I am new mom with a little one. I’m enjoying my days at home with him. I can have him tag along or come alone. I have a fenced in back yard for your pup to run around in. I’m happy to walk your pup in your neighborhood or bring them on adventure to one of many walking spots the Cape has to offer.
“William and his wife were amazing! They have a great indoor and outdoor space to manage the dogs in their care, including a split fenced in yard to separate dogs. I knew my dog would be in good hands and would definitely leave her in their care again.”

“So thankful for Helena and her cat! My lil guy Guinness had a wonderful day playing and walking and fetching. Happy to be dropped off, happy after I picked him up. Thank you Helena!! Will hit you up next time I’m on the cape with Guinness for sure.”

“Michele took good care of our senior dog so we could be tourists in Chatham for the day! She’s got a great fenced in and grassy back yard and even took notes for our dogs special needs.”

“We had a fantastic experience with Cindi through Rover while vacationing in Cape Cod. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to make Finnegan feel comfortable and loved. She arranged a meet and greet a few days before the drop-off, during which she asked thoughtful questions and took notes on Finnegan’s preferences, showing her genuine care and attention to detail. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, Cindi took Finnegan on multiple walks, demonstrating her dedication and love for dogs. Throughout his stay, she kept us wonderfully updated with photos and messages, which gave us peace of mind and made us feel connected even from afar. When it was time to pick him up, Finnegan ran right to her door like he owned the place a clear sign of how happy and comfortable he was with her. We will definitely be using Cindi again and highly recommend her to other dog owners looking for a caring, attentive, and reliable sitter.”

About: I have take care of animals for over 2 decades. Pups are my favorite and I also have chickens and volunteers with horses on a local farm. I respect nature and appreciate what great companions animals are for us humans. I treat them as family members. I had 3 dogs from puppies to their senior age and understand all stages of dog lives. I can play, socialize, train puppies. Walk fast pace with athletic dogs or slow down for littles or seniors. I can give medicine and keep an eye on health any conditions. I have 10yo son who is a huge dog lover and helps out with our dog and chickens and also does barn chores at the farm. I feel so blessed we both feel the same love for all creatures on Earth. I currently work from home, so your pup(s) will have a companion most of the time. I also go on 2-3 walks a day and we have a nice private yard for additional play and relax. We have a private yard, one friendly 2yo Boston terrier who has proven to be more than a gracious host to all sorts of furry visitors. He naturally accepts their energy if they want to play or are shy and need time. We also had some rescues and traumatized pets and Gizmo proved to a respectful companion. He is the reason I love pups and want them to have the most fantastic time in our home.
“Abby was so amazing!!! I work long hours at the hospital and she not only picked my dog up from my apt but went above and beyond, taking my dog to the dog park and the beach! She sent multiple updates throughout the day. She was also easy to reach, very responsive, and friendly. I would highly recommend Abby to anyone needing a dog sitter.”

“Kellie was the perfect daycare sitter for Coco on a Friday afternoon! Cannot thank her and her family enough for being available and so loving to my dog. She had a great time and loved hanging out!”

About: Hi! We’re a dependable, dog-loving family offering in-home dog boarding and dog sitting on Cape Cod. If you’re looking for a safe, attentive, and comfortable home for your dog while you’re away, you’ve found it. We both work from home, so your dog will never be alone. We have a small, friendly Labradoodle who loves other dogs and is very used to sharing his space. Because of that, visiting dogs typically adjust quickly and feel right at home here. We’ve cared for many friends’ dogs over the years, including puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. We’re comfortable with different temperaments, energy levels, and routines, from active dogs who need lots of playtime and walks to more relaxed dogs who just want a calm, cozy environment. We have used pet sitters several times for our own travels, so we know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your beloved fur baby with a stranger. We will make your dog one of our family and give you regular updates, including photos. We know how important it is to trust who you leave your dog with. Our goal is simple: make your dog feel safe, happy, and cared for, so you can relax while you’re away. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to set up a meet & greet—we’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine because we both work from home full-time. This allows us to build our day around the dogs in our care rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Our typical day includes morning potty breaks and walks, followed by a relaxed workday where dogs have plenty of supervision, companionship, and opportunities to go outside as needed. We take breaks throughout the day for playtime, short walks, and attention, depending on each dog’s energy level and routine. In the evenings, we usually incorporate longer walks, playtime, or wind-down time, making sure dogs are settled and comfortable before bedtime. Because dogs are part of our home environment, they’re included in our daily rhythm—not treated as an afterthought. On weekends, we’re generally home and maintain a similar routine, with even more flexibility for walks, outdoor time, and one-on-one attention. Overall, having dogs in our care is something we genuinely enjoy and prioritize, and our schedule allows us to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day and week. We care for every dog as if they’re our own, with a focus on keeping their routine consistent, their environment safe, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. Before any stay, we take time to understand your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any quirks or preferences—so we can mirror what they’re used to at home as closely as possible. In our home, dogs get: Plenty of supervision (we both work from home, so they’re rarely alone) Regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime based on their energy level A calm, safe environment with space to relax or socialize Lots of attention and affection throughout the day We’re also comfortable administering basic medications if needed and following any specific care instructions you provide.

“Simply elated to have found Ruby to care for my sweet Poppy for the day. She was more than accommodating and made sure Poppy was well cared for. About: A lifelong lover of animals of all kinds, I recently moved to the Cape with my 14 year old cat, Anya. I’ve had cats on and off my whole life, and for eleven wonderful years shared my life with a rabbit named Fiona. I have experience caring for special needs (Anya has IBD and Fiona was blind in her later years) and administering medications. I have enjoyed pet sitting for friends and neighbors, and am also a volunteer at a wildlife rescue where I help care for raptors, turtles, snakes, and an absolute queen of a porcupine. While I love dogs, I have less experience with them, so would be better fitted to smaller and/or calmer canines while I get some more experience under my belt. As an overprotective cat mom, I can assure you that I will care for your fur children as if they were my own, will follow your instructions to the letter, and will stay in communication with you so that you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your little ones. I’ve recently moved to the Cape and currently have lots of availability. I can currently not offer overnights, as I have my own fur child to care for, but would love to come for extended visits or walks! I will follow your instructions meticulously. I am used to caring for injured birds, so am extremely conscientious about making sure animals stay safe in their homes and on the leash.

“Tracey was amazing. My dog is big and stubborn and she worked to understand how to get him on walks/in the car to quick park trips and kept me up to date on everything. I’m so appreciative she was able to get him out for me during these days and appreciate all her communication and patience!”

About: I have my own golden doodle named Ollie who I have learned to take care of ever since I was eight years old. I love to walk, feed, bathe, and have fun with pets! I’m currently working part time, so I have a pretty flexible schedule! I have my own reliable transportation and am willing to travel to meet your pets! I am comfortable working with pets of all sizes. I can feed and provide comfort to pets. I hope to provide the best and most safe care I can!
“Excellent communication. Great photos. I had to be away in Colorado and it was so good to have the dogs walked while at a friends house. Cora is still potty training and I really needed the help. You can also tell Stephanie really loves dogs.”

“Elizabeth was fantastic! We felt guilty leaving our pup behind for our trip, but elizabeth provided updates and photos after every walk. She cared for our pup like it was her own! She even worked on commands and taught him a new trick while we were away :) would definitely use her again in the future!”

“Caitlin has helped me with Snowball before and has always been great with him. She’s responsive, punctual and takes good care of him. I’ll definitely reach out to her again when I need help.”

About: I trained 3 service dogs for NEADS weekend puppy raiser program. All 3 dogs passed their service dog tests, 2 of them assist children with special needs and the other dog is a courthouse therapy dog. I also had a Bernese Mountain Dog for 10 years! Last year I volunteered at The Cat Connection in Boston where I cared for the shelter cats there. I am flexible on times to walk, but mornings and afternoons work best for me! Just let me know what time works best for you. I am comfortable dealing with any animal and will follow any special directions needed. Just let me know anything in particular about your animal or home that you'd like me to know.
About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life. My family has always had multiple dogs in our home and a house isn’t a home without a dog. For years I have cared for friends and family dogs while they were either at work or vacation. Now that I am retired I have a lot more time to give helping others who need support to care for their dog. I am available all hours of the day and night. I can pick up dogs or they can be brought to my home. I am semi retired and this allows me lots of flexibility in my schedule. I have a fenced in yard that backs up to conservation land that I use to exercise my own dogs. If allowed by owner, walks on the beach at low tide is a favorite activity for our dogs. During the summers I walk the many trails this area has to offer, many with ponds the dogs love to swim in.

“Could not have asked for a better boarding experience, dropping off/picking up and keeping in touch while I was away. Harriet’s farm is idyllic, and I’m confident my pup was well taken care of and had a great time while there. Thank you, Harriet!”
