About: Hi! My name is Faith Tupin and I am a substitute Paraeducator in the Davis school district. I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and sheep. I have volunteered at my local animal shelter off and on for a few years and was in 4-H for many years. I have experience with extremely large dogs to tea cup chihuahuas, three legged dogs, dogs needing end of life care (medication administration, pet inhalers), puppies who haven’t been house trained and even service animals. I was taught how to do CPR on dogs even though i’ve never had to put my skills to use. I am active and I love long walks. I am also very clean and will make sure your house looks great when I leave. I currently am working part time and am also able to make my own schedule. This allows me to be flexible and take on additional responsibilities. I always talk to the owners to ensure that I am following their routine and keeping an eye out for any bad habits the dog may have- chewing on cords, digging by fences. I am aware of what food is toxic to dogs and never leave it out. I avoid other dogs on walks and look out for unknown food on the sidewalks that they may be tempted to eat.

While I'm not a dog trainer and won't suggest how to teach your dog, I'll happily follow your instructions and support your dog's training (: I work part-time at a restaurant 3–4 shifts a week 4-5 hours long each shift, and my schedule changes weekly, so feel free to reach out to see if my days off line up with your needs. I understand puppies and certain dogs need constant supervision so reach out to see when I have time off work! For house sits, I may need to step out if I’m scheduled for a shift; but drop-ins are usually easier to schedule around. I keep my availability updated, but exact times may vary a bit week to week. I'm flexible and always try to work around your pet’s needs especially now that I’m working fewer hours during the summer! For drop-ins for cats I take care of pet duties like food/water and the litter box. Then I either play with them or snuggle. I don’t mind going a bit over time to build trust, play, and spend time with them depending on their needs (: While walking your pet, I ensure they get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, following their preferred pace and routine. I prioritize safety by keeping them on a leash and being mindful of their surroundings. For house sitting, I maintain your pet’s routine, providing meals, playtime, and cuddles. I make sure they feel secure and comfortable in their own home. I also handle light tasks like cleaning up after your pet, keeping the litter box tidy, and sending you regular updates on their well-being. Your pet will feel loved and well cared for while you're away!

About: Hi there! I have a degree in animal science from UC Davis circa 2023 and I'm now back to complete my Master's of Public Health -- and hopefully take care of your fur baby. I've worked as an animal welfare consultant for UCSF, as a vet assistant for vet clinics and animal shelters across Yolo County, and completed an internship at Oakland Zoo followed by some time as an educator for young kids on how to care for exotic animals. Beyond that, I have my family's own three babies: Biscuit (16 year old dog), Mooncake (5 year old cat), and Misu (1 year old cat). I'm happy to chat with you about your baby's specialized care, whether that means medication administration or extra slow walks before the Davis heat sets in. I am currently in grad school so my schedule is flexible, but I live close to campus so I can always come home to check on the babies. I always treat others' homes with the best respect I can give. My job is not only to take care of your pet to the best of my abilities but to take care of the environment they live in.

About: I grew up around dogs, and always knew I would want one of my own. I finally adopted my beagle rescue mix, Busy, three years ago! Being a dog mom has deepened my love for all creatures and I value any time I get to spend with all types of furry friends! I have experience with puppy training, administering medications, senior care, and more :) I am a graduate student at UCD currently on summer break! My research schedule is very flexible so I would love to come care for your puppy anytime of day :) I am happy to come take your dog for a mini adventure, hang out at your house, or anything in between! About: Since I was eight years old, I’ve had four dogs in my life that have been my entire world - so I understand the importance of finding the right person to care for my babies. I am confident that I am the right person to take care of your pet, because not only do I have a deep love and understanding of animals, but I also have practical experience caring for them. I have over three years experience working in a stress free certified small animal clinic - this means all the employees go through training to understand the best way to care for animals which minimizes fear in strange and stressful situations. Through this clinic, I gained not only medical, but also senior and disabled dog experience working in our rehabilitation center. Additionally, I have experience caring for large animals (cows, sheep, etc.) from an internship with a veterinarian on a local ranch, and wildlife from an internship working with cheetahs in South Africa. This upcoming fall I will be entering my third year as a veterinary student. While prior experience caring for dogs is important, the main reason I know I'm the right sitter for your pet is my deep love for animals of all kind. I believe dogs, cats, cows, chickens, and any other animal deserve the respect we give to humans, and I will respect and love your pet in this same way. As I am currently in veterinary school, I have time to drop in between or after classes. I have much greater availability on the weekends. When coming to your home, I will only take your pet outside if indicated and always on a leash. On walks I do my best to work with your neighborhood to stay on side streets rather than main roads, and always make sure a collar/leash/harness is sturdy beforehand. I am trained to care for special needs animals, and can medicate orally or by injection if needed. I am also animal CPR trained (but hope I will never need to use it).

About: I grew up with a bird and dog, and a cat was recently added to the family (I do not live with any pets currently). I backpack trained the cat, made toys and fortresses for the cat, took the dog on walks and hikes, whistled to the bird, and gave all the animals as many pets as I can! I've additionally done lots of pet sitting over the years for friends and family: cats, small dogs, medium dogs, rats, mice, aquariums, and insects. I don't mind reptiles either! I have a flexible schedule, spare for Thursdays when I have class (but still available for evenings after 6pm). I am willing to wake up early or stay up late for the job. I make sure to take things slow when needed in order to prevent stress for the animals. I keep a consistent schedule for feeding and cleaning. And I try to engage with the animals as much as possible when they are up for it. There is a tendency to be more easy going but I amp up the energy for playtime and walks. I like to walk in general, so I can go far for those higher energy dogs!

About: I have cared for dogs and cats for nearly 10 years. I have been a pet sitter, worked at dog daycares, and worked as a veterinary assistant in dog and cat clinics as well as exotic ones. I can administer medications as needed. I am currently working part time at a vet clinic, but I am free to check in on any animals multiple times daily, and spend nights with pets as well. I have 4 years of experience taking care of and boarding cats and dogs, but I have had pet geckos and parakeets in the past so I have experience taking care of a wide range of pets. I have 1 dog and 2 cats at my childhood home— they are the sweetest, but now I’m away at college! I am responsible, reliable, and truly care about the animals I take care of. I worked for rover over the summer and it was the best time of my life. Now that I’m all settled in in college, I’m ready to start back up again! Occasionally I will babysit for friends/ neighbors, but for the most part I can give all my time to the pets I’m taking care of! Now that I live in an apartment that doesn’t allow pets, I’m only able to housesit, dog walk, and do drop in visits. I will miss boarding pets but I am still excited to take care and spend time with pets with drop in visits, walks, and housesitting:) I am very active and always have plenty of energy to play with pets or take them on walks and adventures!

About: I have volunteered at shelters all my life where I would play and walk the shelter dogs. I would also food prep and make toys I’m a full time college student and working part time as an animal care staff in a lab, so I am usually busy in the mornings. But my job allows me to be very flexible with scheduling which means more time to play and care for animals on the side! The biggest thing for me when caring for a pet is making sure they feel confident and comfortable with me. Less stress meanings happier dog.

About: I have been around pets my entire life. I have pet sat for many of my friends and family members. I am reliable, flexible, and love all types of animals! I am about to graduate from UC Davis with a degree in Human Biology! I love being around pets and wanted to add an extra income this summer before pursuing grad school. About: I have a ton of experience working with a variety of dogs, ranging from puppies to senior, lazy to high maintenance, etc. My life revolves around my pets, and I am eager to share that passion with yours. I have a lot of experience with senior care as well-my pup requires a lot of at home treatments in her final months of life. I'm currently a PhD student, getting my degree in animal welfare, so I have relatively flexible hours. I don't have a set work schedule, so let me know what works best for you and I can likely work around that :) my day to day already revolves around my pet, and has for basically all of my adult life. I have a fenced yard, fully baby-proofed house, and pet-experienced roommates. My cat is my only current pet, and he is good with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.
