“Five stars isn’t enough. We’ve had great dog sitters, but Beverly blew us away with her kind, thoughtful, and communicative approach. We’ve never felt more comfortable and confident leaving our home and dog in her extremely capable hands. Thank you, Beverly! Will book again and again.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 20 years and have experience with puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, administering medications, cleaning up after pets, and providing lots of love and attention. I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individualized care, and I’ll treat your furry family member as if they were my own. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and overnight care throughout the week, including weekends. I take the time to follow each pet’s routine, provide plenty of exercise, play, affection, and send regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, feeding schedule, medications, and exercise needs before every visit. As a longtime dog owner, I understand how important trust and communication are, so I’ll provide regular updates and photos while you’re away. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they receive patient, attentive, and loving care. I know how important it is to find someone dependable, attentive, and compassionate, and that’s exactly the kind of care I strive to provide for every pet I meet.

“Tasha was wonderful! We had a family emergency come up while she was scheduled and she was flexible and kind. We Got a sweet video of our sometimes grumpy elder dog who clearly was having a great time! Big tag wags for Tasha - we will definitely book again when we need a sitter. Fantastic experience.”

“Devanna was so good with our wild Weim and also took such good care of our other animals as well! She left our home spotless as well and our pup seemed very happy (and tired) when we returned from our trip. Thank you Dev for such a great first overnight visit with Biggie! We’ll definitely see you again soon 🥰”

About: **About me** I have absolutely adored animals since I was little and I am excited at the future opportunities of spending more time pets. I am a full time student, I love finding new parks, beaches, and areas to explore and would be more than happy to take your pet along with me if you feel comfortable I have a dog, cat & gecko and have full knowledge on how to take care of each 😁 I would love the opportunity to pet sit your fur baby 🐾 As a long time pet owner myself, I expect nothing but professional and attentive care to my pets. That being said, I let my work reflect on my core values. As a Rover sitter, I am fully available weekends and holidays. During the weekdays I am available after 4:30pm. **About my neighborhood** We live in a suburban neighborhood with ample sidewalk space and parks nearby. The closest park, is a nature reserve, around the corner from home. Plenty for pups to see, smell, and play with. We are currently living in shared housing and are not readily available to host pets in our own home. Although some day we hope to have our own home and be able to extend these services.

About: I've been an animal lover my entire life, I currently have 2 cats and 1 dog in my household and I was able to successfully acclimate them to one another using patience and positive reinforcement; and the 3 are inseparable now! Animals are my everything, I'm a recent college graduate with aspirations of running a non-profit animal sanctuary in the future. I'm currently working part-time and can meet any of your pet sitting needs with my schedule flexibility. I also go on daily walks as well, so any dog walks would perfectly fit my schedule. I am very experienced with caring for a variety of animals, whether it be in my home, a fairly large property with friendly animals, or yours; I can meet any of your pet sitting needs!
“Here's a thoughtful review for your dog sitter Jenna: We are incredibly grateful to have found Jenna as our in-home dog sitter. She’s been amazing with our fur baby, treating them with so much love and care every time we need her. Jenna’s communication is always spot on, keeps us updated and is quick to respond, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. She’s not only reliable but genuinely passionate about taking care of our dog, and it shows! We feel lucky to have her, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter! Thank you so much Jenna!”

“Jordan was amazing! My senior citizen has a history of bad anxiety especially around the Fourth of July with the fireworks but Jordan kept me reassured that my boy was doing great and that made me at peace while I was away, which is all I can ever ask for while I’m away. She sent pictures and updates and I would definitely reuse her again.”

With my knack for attention to detail I can easily pay mind to any specific instructions I may need to follow. I give my pets love, patience and understanding and would treat your animals with the same respect I give my own.

“Always such a pleasure to see Victoria. Our husky, Mika, absolutely loves her. Her dog, Nova, is the sweetest too. Victoria is so wonderful with Mika and makes sure that she has a safe and fun time! Highly recommend.”

About: My name is Abby and I am 30 years old. During the year, I am a teacher but I love to jump into these side jobs to make a little extra income. I love all dogs! I have had 3 long term dogs join my family over the past 12 years who are family to me. As of right now, I own a wiener dog who loves to hike, swim and go on runs with me. I love giving dogs cuddles, tummy rubs, and walks. Dogs with energy don't stand a chance with me since I spend lots of time with my sisters Australian Shepard. Big dogs don't scare me either as my dad has had both Great Danes and Dobermans as our family dogs growing up. I am currently a teacher on summer break, so pet care takes priority for my little dog currently. I try to make sure my dog goes outside for a walk at least 3 times a day. My complex has its own Dog Park on the property with 2 other parks near by as well. All 3 are well fenced in to provide security.
About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember and have had dogs in my life since I was 5 years old. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs, and I genuinely love spending time with them. Over the years, I’ve owned multiple dogs and have experience caring for up to 4 dogs at once. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, feeding, or making sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I currently work from home, so if your dog is staying with me, I’ll be home throughout the day to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship. If you’re booking dog walking or drop-in visits, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to stop by reliably and ensure your pet receives the care they need. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac in a townhome with a fully fenced private patio. My home is equipped with exterior security cameras, as well as an indoor camera that overlooks the main living area for added peace of mind. I enjoy taking dogs on walks through my quiet neighborhood, and there’s also a large fenced park nearby for exercise and play. If your dog is crate-trained, I’m happy to accommodate that routine, and I also have a spare room available if they would benefit from having their own quiet space to relax.
About: Hi, I’m Sarah — a licensed, insured, Pet CPR/First Aid certified pet care professional with over 20 years of hands-on experience. I provide calm, structured, home-style care for dogs who do best in a smaller, quieter environment rather than a loud, chaotic facility. My home is set up for comfort, routine, and supervision — where dogs can relax, play, nap, and settle in naturally. I’m home full-time and keep my group intentionally small so each dog gets real attention, not just rotation-based care. Some dogs love playtime, some prefer lounging, and others just want to be near a human — I adjust to what helps each dog feel safe and comfortable. Meet & greets are required for all new dogs. I only accept dogs who are social, manageable, and able to coexist respectfully with people and other dogs. If a dog is not a good fit for my environment, I won’t move forward — safety and stability always come first. I’m experienced with puppies, adults, seniors, shy dogs, and dogs who benefit from a calmer pace. If you’re looking for personalized care in a real home with an experienced sitter — not a crowded kennel — I’d love to connect. I’m home full-time, and caring for dogs is part of my daily routine from morning to night. Pups start their day with breakfast, outside time, and gentle play or walks. Throughout the day, I balance playtime, enrichment, and rest so everyone stays happy and relaxed. Evenings are calm — think cuddle time, soft music, or a cozy movie while everyone settles in. I keep each dog’s routine as close to home as possible so they feel safe and comfortable right away I have a secure fenced yard, safety gates, and one friendly resident dog who was raised in a doggy daycare environment and helps new guests feel at ease. I keep my group small so each dog gets personal attention and close supervision. Dogs are matched by energy and comfort level — some love to play, others prefer to relax. I can easily crate if needed, but most guests feel right at home free-roaming under calm, watchful care.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, including feeding, walking, cleaning, and giving them lots of attention and love. I’m patient, responsible, and detail-oriented, and I always make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m comfortable with: • Dogs of all sizes and energy levels • Cats (including shy or senior cats) • Basic routines (feeding, walking, litter box cleaning) I’m also very flexible with scheduling and can follow any specific instructions you have. I will treat your pets like my own family ❤️ Feel free to message me anytime — I usually respond quickly! I can be there whenever you need me; I'm always here for you, my dear. I'm available every day of the week, just for those adorable little ones. I clean my cats' toys every two weeks, maintain the litter box daily, and occasionally give them a bath if necessary. I also clean the room daily and mop the floor weekly. I treat them as if they were my own beloved children.

“Angela is amazing! She houses sat and watched my Honey for 3 days while we were out of town. She kept us updated morning and night and sent lots of photos. Thank you Angela for spoiling our baby.”

“Amber was totally awesome! Best pet sitter we have had yet. She me a keeper for sure. She listened to all of our instructions and asked questions when needed. The dogs and cats seemed to love her. I would highly recommend Amber to anyone looking for someone to take care of their fur babies.”

“Mia is a sweet person and good pet sitter! We asked her to meet up before the appointment to see how Ponyo would like her and Ponyo warmed up to her very quickly and let Mia pet her. During the pet sitting, she sent us cute pictures & some video! Overall, Mia was great with Ponyo, also cleaning the litter before leaving. The only thing to mention was that it was hard to reach Mia before the appointment to confirm, originally the schedule was at 6 AM but I messaged her around 12 AM to come in at 8 AM instead, I didn’t get a reply. Since the pet sitting was moved to 8 AM we asked for a confirmation and called/texted multiple times from 6:25 to 7:55 AM to no response. This created so much stress for us not knowing if she was coming or not. She finally messaged us around 8:02 AM and said she just woke up & asked if she should still come in. She got into our unit at 8:27 AM. She did however apologized to us which is all good. To reiterate though, Mia was good with Ponyo and was overall a good pet sitting. She just needs improvement on communication and on responding quickly.”

“Justin provided an excellent service! He connected with my dog Cometa and ensure he was exercised, fed, safe, and well cared! Cometa was relaxed and happy! I found him calm and secured at my arrival! I will continue having Justin taking care of my dog as many times as my dog needs service! Justin is dependable, responsible, nurturing and committed to provide de best service possible. I’m very grateful and happy with his service. Gracias, gracias, gracias….”

“Anthony was so patient with our boy. He tried everything to get him to take his meds, walked him and hung out with him, establishing trust. We were very nervous about having a new sitter. And 13 dog doesn’t adapt well. But Tony did a great job.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Covina
Tyler was amazing with my dogs! She house sat for my 2 large dogs (one of them being reactive) for a whole week! She followed all the instructions that we gave her. We had specific instructions to keep our dogs seperate from each other because we had never left them before and were worried about how my reactive dog would act towards our other dog while we were away. We are so grateful for her!

I can’t say enough good things about Beverly! She stayed at our house to take care of our dogs while we were away, and honestly, it made our trip so much easier knowing they were in her hands. She sent us the sweetest photo updates throughout her stay and kept us in the loop about everything, from playtime to nap time. It was clear our pups absolutely loved her, and they were happy and tired in the best way when we got home. We’re already hoping Beverly is available the next time we need to travel. Thank you so much, Beverly!

Jaylin and Isaiah housesat and took care of my sweet anxious dog, Magpie while I was out of town. I returned home to a completely spotless house, towels folded, and a relaxed dog who was listening to some zen dog calming youtube videos, which I thought was extra sweet and thoughtful. They were great communicators and sent me lots of cute picture updates. I'd definitely book them again!

Tasha did a great job of house/pet sitting for us. She kept us informed with frequent texts and pictures so we were assured things were going well. Our dog Ivy obviously enjoyed being with her. Our house was in great shape when we returned. Tasha kindly agreed to stay later when our return flight was delayed. We highly recommend Tasha.

As always, we felt completely comfortable knowing Gio was caring for our dog and cat. He sends regular photos and communicates clearly, which we really appreciate. He also took great care of our home and followed all instructions perfectly. Having that kind of peace of mind while traveling is invaluable. Our pets absolutely love Gio!
Joanna is an absolute gem of a cat sitter. She watched my cat Spooky overnight several days while I was away for the weekend, and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. She’s a true animal lover—patient, warm, and totally unfazed by Spooky’s sometimes feisty (and bitey!) personality. Not only did she take the time to play with him and earn his trust, but she even got him to cuddle—no small feat! Joanna was great about sending updates, photos, and videos, which made being away so much easier. She also helped administer his new medication, which involves using a cat inhaler and requires holding him still, which she handled with ease. I came home to a spotless apartment, as if no one had been there. I would absolutely book her again in a heartbeat.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in West Covina on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 15,609 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Covina. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Covina walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Covina maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Covina choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Covina. On Rover:

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
