“Sydney cared for our 2 dogs and 2 cats over the weekend. One of our dogs requires the use of a brace for walks and one of our cats required meds. Sydney did great with both! She provided updates with text and images, asked questions and was very responsive. My crew was happy and cared for, highly recommend!”

“Lisa was amazing. She provided in-house care and took great care of my pup and was proactively sending me updates and pictures multiple times a day. Made it so easy to relax on my vacation knowing how great of care my pup was in! Would recommend to anyone and will for sure be booking again next time.”

“Emma was AMAZING! 3 Great Danes and she handled their clumsy-ness and lap dog tenancies without a hitch. My stupid dogs ran off to the neighbors house and had an incident with the neighbor dog. She handled the situation perfectly and kept my dogs, the neighbor and their dog, and myself feeling safe about the incident the rest of booking. When I got home and apologized again to my neighbor, they said that Emma did great the whole time and were impressed with the way she handled things. 10/10 would recommend Emma!!”

“Grace is 100% reliable and great at communication. My pups adore her and she adores them back. Recently completed a 10 day business trip out of the country and she was amazing. Highly recommend d.”

“Paul did an awesome job taking care of our elderly dog. It was difficult to leave her with a new dog sitter (our usual sitter got a new job) but after meeting Paul and seeing that Rheyah was immediately comfortable with him, we felt confident that he would take good care of her. Paul made sure that Rheyah took her medicine multiple times per day, fed her a special diet and even gave her a partial bath every other night to treat her chronic skin condition. He also took her for 2 walks per day when the weather permitted. Paul’s frequent photos and descriptions of what he and Rheyah were doing helped to calm my anxiety about leaving her with someone new. Not only did Paul take care of Rheyah, but he also fed my fish and managed to keep my not-so-healthy plants alive! We are very grateful that Paul’s profile came up on Rover and that he agreed to take care of Rheyah so that we could attend our granddaughter’s 1st birthday. We highly recommend Paul to anyone who needs a conscientious caring pet sitter!”

“Faith was absolutely wonderful with our Bruno!! This was a longer vacation for us from the other times we’ve had Faith watch Bruno. Everything went extremely well and we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation without any worries about how Bruno was doing. Faith kept us informed with photos and texts every day about how Bruno was doing. He truly bonded with Faith. Bruno is a Shiba Inu and that says a lot about how well Faith interacts with dogs as this breed is generally very aloof. The house was spotless and clean when we came home. I would highly recommend Faith to watch your pets. I can’t say that enough. We will continue to have her watch Bruno and use her services for both overnight stays and walks when we may be gone for a long day. Excellent excellent job!! Thank you Faith!!”

About: I have always been an animal lover. If I could live with just them I sure would! One day I want to have my own cat/kitten rescue shelter. I currently have 3 cats that I spoil! I am working a full time job working 8-4pm Monday-Friday. I am available after 4pm on weekdays and open to any hours on the weekends. I have 3 cats and they are allowed outside if I am with them. I do not leave them outside alone. If I do then bring out their cat tent and they can go in there to relax in the outside weather
“Sarah was absolutely amazing! I loved all the updates and pictures and felt my dog wasn’t just watched but loved and cared for. She picked up on cues with her drinking water, a spot we have been watching on her leg and even listened to her when she wanted to sleep in the other bedroom. I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and currently care for four dogs and one cat of my own. Caring for multiple pets has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to recognize each animal’s unique personality and needs. From energetic playtime and long walks to quiet cuddles and sticking to feeding routines, I’m comfortable providing attentive, loving care. Also, I am comfortable and experienced in handling medication for dogs as one of my dogs at home has diabetes. I understand that every pet is part of the family, and I’ll treat yours with the same kindness, respect, and affection that I give my own. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pet. I’ll do my best to accommodate your preferred days and times, and I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits both you and your furry friend. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience caring for my own four dogs and one cat, so I’m familiar with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them for a walk, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, fresh water, and lots of love. I’ll also respect your pet’s routine, follow any feeding or medication instructions carefully, and provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: Located in West Bend, WI. My day job is as a child mental health therapist. I make my own schedule and am extremely flexible. I had cats throughout my childhood. I got a puppy, Cruz, (13 weeks old at the time) seven years ago. It was a lot of work and I have loved every second of it. He has become my best friend and we do everything together. I also recently rescued a 16 year old dog, Happy, from the humane society. His last days will be full of cuddles and treats. He has brought so much happiness to everyone around him. Our favorite pass time is going to the dog park. We also enjoy walking the Ice Age Trail and going to the beach when weather permits. Cruz, Happy and I also enjoy playing tug of war and fetch. I cannot wait to meet your pet(s) and to care for them like they are my own. Thank you for your time! I make my own work schedule and can be flexible. Evenings and weekends are never an issue. I can accommodate most requests and scheduling is not often an issue. I want to maintain your pets regular schedule, whatever that means. Please let me know what they enjoy and what will make them most comfortable during our time together.
“Thank you so much for watching Bowey! We truly appreciate you taking such good care of him! Also it was super helpful when our trip got extended and you were able to watch him a few extra days! We will definitely be in touch for future stays!”

About: As I said in my headline, I work from home so it is easy for me to pack my stuff up and come care for your pets while you are away. If they will be staying with me they will get spoiled with attention all day. Our backyard is not fenced in but we have a line off our back door from when we had a dog for when nature calls. I am also freely able to let them out for potty breaks while working. My work schedule is very flexible to take your pets for walks or stop in. I currently watch my friends animals when they are away. One household is 2 dogs and 2 cats and the other is just a cat. One of the dogs I have experience administering medication with and dealing with a anxious dog. I also frequently watch a families Boxer when they have errands to run or want to go out for the evening.
“Courtney iwas absolutely fantastic with not just one dog, but THREE. She was available last minute, and was able to accommodate two extra dogs. She was invested in their safety, followed all instructions to a t, took the dogs on walks, and sent videos and photos to keep me updated. I will definitely be using Courtney again!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and caring for them has always been a huge part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of sharing my home with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, a rabbit, birds, and even reptiles—so I’m comfortable with a wide variety of pet personalities and needs. My fiancé and I currently have five cats, and they keep life fun, active, and full of love. I have a deep compassion for animals of all kinds and all ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’ve also taken in several strays over the years, helping reunite them with their owners or finding them safe, loving homes. That experience has made me especially attentive, responsible, and intuitive when it comes to animal care. I truly value time outdoors and believe regular walks and activity are key to a happy, healthy pet. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like one of my own—with love, attention, and respect. I work part time as a massage therapist this leaves lots of times available for in home pet care. My schedule can be open more then what days/times I have on my profile. Currently I'd be coming to your home to care for or walk your pet. If needed I could possibly board. I do have 5 cats, they sleep most of the day.

About: I've grown up surrounded by animals, including cats and dogs, and at one point, our household included five dogs simultaneously. Since the age of ten, I've been responsible for feeding my dogs and taking them outside. When I turned fourteen, I began walking my own dogs and even walked dogs for friends, ranging from 15 to 130 pounds. I am proficient in administering dog medications and knowledgeable about dog behaviors. I'm passionate about understanding each pet's preferences and personality, and I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing them with a fun and safe environment. I’m currently working a part-time job, while a full-time college student. I am free currently Saturday-Tuesday. Saturday and Sundays I will be available from 8am till 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Monday I will be available all day starting from 10am and Tuesdays all day after 3pm. I always prioritize your pets well-being and follow your specific instructions for their care. If needed, I can crate your dog and i’ll offer a safe and comfortable environment.
“Heather was so sweet and understood our animals are our family. She sent pictures throughout her stay which really put my mind at ease. We will book Heather again for the future!!”

About: My name is Jacalyn, and I am a dedicated pet caregiver/house sitter in the West Bend area. When I’m not spending time with animals, I am a freelance artist working on long-term creative projects. Because my artwork is completely mobile, it makes me the perfect companion for your pets! I provide a consistent, calm presence in your home, ensuring your animals are never lonely, stressed, or left unattended for long periods. Specialized Experience & Skills: Unlike standard dog walkers, I have a deep, lifetime background in diverse animal care. You can completely trust me with your entire household ecosystem. Dogs: I grew up with a toy poodle in our home, caring for him when my parents went away. I would also house sit for our neighbor with medium-large dogs as a young adult. I have more recently house sat overnight for friends and my previous boss with two large dogs, providing structured feeding, walks, and plenty of play time. Small Pets: I formerly worked at a pet store where I was responsible for the daily care, feeding, and habitat maintenance of cats, dogs, birds, fish, rabbits and rodents. I also cared for my own pet mice, rats and rabbits over the years. I adore all animals, big and small. Animal Shelter Volunteer Roots: My love for animals started early—I volunteered at our local animal shelter with dogs and cats as a kid, learning how to handle different temperaments, walk the dogs, and keep environments clean and safe. If you have an animal friend that needs care while you're away, dog walking or a permanent home/vacation home that needs house sitting and check ups, don't hesitate to send me a message. I aim to provide the best care for your fur baby tailored around your work day, weekend plans, holiday travel, or seasonal vacations. My radius includes within 15 miles of West Bend. I am available for all of the services listed Tuesday-Sunday. My week is open for your nanny needs. Whether you are a local heading out on a vacation, long work days, or a tourist renting a cabin and looking to explore the local landscape, I am here to help. Why Choose Me? Because I balance my pet care with my art projects, your pets get the absolute best of both worlds: structured, energetic outdoor time combined with hours of quiet, indoor companionship while I work. I am detail-oriented, highly respectful of your property, and communicative with plenty of photo updates. Not only will i take care of your family member, but make sure everything is spotless when you return. I look forward to meeting you and your unique pets! Please feel free to reach out with your upcoming dates.
About: As far as experience goes there isn’t a time in my life I remember that I wasn’t caring for an animal. From reptiles, to rodents, to cats and dogs, I’ve had them all. From a young age I was taught responsibility and discipline when it came to caring for tiny creatures. Additionally for over two years I volunteered weekly at a local animal shelter. During this time I gained knowledge as to how animals interacted with one another, how to properly administer medication, warning signs to look out for, what to do in emergencies, and deeply studied animal behavior. To add on to that I am currently employed at a doggie daycare. During my time here not only have I gotten to widen my horizons when it came to taking care of animals but I have learned hands on how to bandage a wound, what to do in animal confrontations as well as how to handle the unexpected such as sickness or seizures. Additionally over the last 3 years I have volunteered at different animal welfare programs across the globe. These include Portugal, Puerto Rico, Tanzania and soon Hawaii. During this time I have not only seen hands on other cultures way of taking care of animals but also gained knowledge as to how to better the animal care I provide to clients. As I previously stated I currently am employed at a doggie daycare. Additionally I work at a bakery as well. My schedule changes weekly so it can be hard to give an exact time frame when booking. Typically I work up to 8 hour shifts. I typically prefer to stay in clients homes to keep their pets safe and happy in their own environment. I will be there in the morning before work, and will immediately come back when I get off as well as being there at night. I try to spend as much time as possible with the pets while you are away I typically only offer staying in the clients home and I am comfortable crating animals while gone. I always keep things like medications safely out of reach and secured. Additionally upon booking I typically ask about any health notes, allergies, or special needs as well as a good contact number for your vet in case of emergency.
“Courtney was amazing! Absolutely wonderful with all of our fluffies and you can tell they Super care about them. Many sitters just do the bare minimum but Courtney spent time with them, took care of medicine, played with them, etc… and did not just watch TV all day sitting like we have had others do. If you want someone who takes care to help your fluffies feel comfortable while you are away, we recommend Courtney.”

Isabella was great with my Great Pyrenees and old orange kitty. She sent me pictures throughout her stay and asked questions when applicable. When we returned home, the house was as clean as when we left it. Thank you for taking great care of our fur balls and allowing us to put our minds at ease and enjoy our vacation! We would definitely recommend her.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Bend walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Bend maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Bend choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Bend. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
