My name is Jacalyn, and I am a dedicated pet caregiver/house sitter in the West Bend area. When I’m not spending time with animals, I am a freelance artist working on long-term creative projects. Dogs: I grew up with a toy poodle in our home, caring for him when my parents went away. I would also house sit for our neighbor with medium-large dogs as a young adult. I have more recently house sat overnight for friends and my previous boss with two large dogs, providing structured feeding, walks, and plenty of play time. Small Pets: I formerly worked at a pet store where I was responsible for the daily care, feeding, and habitat maintenance of cats, dogs, birds, fish, rabbits and rodents. I also cared for my own pet mice, rats and rabbits over the years. I adore all animals, big and small. Animal Shelter Volunteer Roots: My love for animals started early—I volunteered at our local animal shelter with dogs and cats as a kid, learning how to handle different temperaments, walk the dogs, and keep environments clean and safe.
