“Yesterday was my Rover’s first daycare with Dan. As soon as I parked my car Rover was excited to go inside. That is impressive since Rover only met Dan and Holly during the initial meet and great. Dan sent pictures and updates of Rover throughout the night, which I very much appreciated. Rover and I both are very lucky to have found Dan and Holly.”
“Yshonda was absolutely wonderful to work with. We were a bit nervous because we have two fur babies with two different personalities and unique needs and Yshonda was very accommodating and flexible and was able to set our minds at ease. The babies are comfortable with her and seem to really enjoy her company. She’s friendly, personable and obviously loves dogs. She’s an amazing sitter and I would recommend her to anyone especially people who have never tried a dog sitter before. Check her out!”

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs and cats going back to childhood. I have been actively pet sitting for 5+ years and have experience with puppies and kittens, seniors, and pets with special needs. I have also cared for rabbits and am very flexible and willing to learn! I am a teacher, so I am free most of the summer to watch your pet and give them some love! September -May I am still available but with less flexibility I enjoy drop ins and walks so I can give pets attention and care while in their own comfortable environment. I can also watch dogs at my home for those who need overnight visits, but dogs MUST be cat friendly/neutral without history of chasing cats

About: I love dogs and animals - they really are the best! I have owned three for many years, raising two from being puppies, and addressing challenging behavior with an older doggo, in addition to fostering multiple rescue dogs. I recently moved to WI, and my pets stayed home with my partner for now, and miss my furry companions and want to provide love and care for yours while I’m here! I am happy to work with you on what’s best, whether that is house sitting, boarding, or simply letting your animals out on walks or to go potty. Let’s chat! I currently work from home and have a remote job, so can provide your dog with any needs or attention that makes sense based on their schedule. I have some in-person meetings that occur throughout the week, and am generally around on the weekends regularly. If planning on boarding or daycare, I now live in a home with a nice backyard. I can easily crate, take out for potty breaks, etc. I am also mindful of dog reactivity regardless of my own or neighbor’s dogs.
About: I owned a dog growing up and cared for and trained one with my family. I sit for friends and family from time to time and I love to play and take dogs for walks and, if they are able, runs of up to a few miles! I have a fenced in yard, and my kids (4, 8) are also great with animals. I work from home. With the exception of rare travel days, school drop-offs, and evening events, I will always be around the house to care for your pup. Your pet will get the attention it needs, as I work from home and I have a fenced in yard, as well as young boys that are great with animals. Frequent outside visits and play times are very doable.
“Holly was awesome! She sent us updates all day long and even fed Brooklyn in the morning for ya because Brooklyn was a little nervous with some construction work outside. We will definitely be using Holly in the future for day care and boarding. Thanks again!”

“Mandi was great! Good communication and pics and videos during the visit. Would definitely recommend Mandi and will look for her availability next time I need a Rover sitter for my dog”

“Jill was able to accommodate our request rather last minute and was communicative throughout. She gave our senior dog a wonderful day of companionship; we know she was well cared for and left very happy.”

About: I have had dogs of my own since I was 9 years old. I LOVE dogs--especially small ones! I have trained all of my dogs. I board friends' dogs in my home all the time, and am now excited to move into boarding strangers' dogs here on Rover! I work full-time, a mix of in-office and at home. I work from home on Thursdays and have flexibility on Fridays, so it works best for me to be able to provide boarding on long weekends (Thursday-Sunday). I am happy to provide your pet with seamless care and match what they are used to in your home. I have a large yard and a quiet neighborhood. My home has many rooms and I have some gates so that I can separate pets if needed. I also have a puppy play pen for smaller/younger pups who need their own space.
“Our dog had an awesome day with Louise! She was great with little Stuart and so easy to work with for us. She accommodated a long day with our schedules and is so kind. She gave our dog personal care and very loving for our needy little puppy. We plan to book with Louise again, can’t recommend her enough!”

“My favorite pet sitters! Maria & Nayibe are so kind and truly foster a comfortable environment for the animals. My dog always has a great time and I trust them wholeheartedly with his care.”

“Amazing communication and pictures throughout. Soba had such a great time hanging out with Tracie and Penny! She was totally pooped from all the fun we had by the time we got home. Would definitely bring soba back without hesitation.”

About: I have had a deep compassion for all animals my whole life, wanting nothing more but for them to be happy. When your furry family members are with me, safety and entertainment will be of top priority. Giving love is second nature to me and I will be at full attention with your dog. Fun and exercise with plenty of fresh air guaranteed! I have specific walking routes to know where your pet will always be at all times , and communication will be as frequently as desired. Pictures will be posted regularly. Part of how I reach maximum comfortability for your dog is by using famiar language (commands) and learning it's habits and rituals. Everything has a personality and I try hard to learn what your dogs is like. Last but not least, I am all breed friendly!
“Miranda is the best. She takes such good care of our people-shy dog. She was patient with him and let him warm up to her on his own, and now he loves going to her house...full on butt wiggles when he makes his way over to her. It gives us great piece of mind to know that he’s so well taken care of.”
“My partner and I wanted to spend a couple of hours on my birthday at some places that don't allow pups - after quick and easy communication with Michelle, we booked daycare with her. Our pup is very social with dogs and people but is always super cautious at first. When we dropped Navi off, she was a bit skittish and didn't really want to go in the house. This left us feeling a bit worried. However, Michelle immediately sent us an update with pictures after we drove away showing Navi explore the house and the backyard. Throughout the day I received so many pictures and videos of Navi playing in the pool and with other pups. It genuinely was the best birthday present I could have asked for. It made us so happy to receive so many updates showing Navi living her best life with her new friends. It was clear Michelle loves doing what she does and cares for every pup like they are her own. If we are ever in the Milwaukee area again, we would love to have you watch after our girl again! Thank you again, Michelle!”

About: Hi, I’m Abby! I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and grew up with family dogs, learning firsthand the importance of patience, routine, and lots of love. Although I don’t currently have a dog of my own, caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I’ll treat your pet like they’re part of my family. In my professional career, attention to detail, responsibility, and reliability are essential, and I bring those same qualities to every pet I care for, because I understand that trusting someone with your furry family member is a big decision. I have a flexible work schedule and can often work remotely with advance notice, allowing me to spend plenty of time with your dog throughout the day. On days I’m in the office, I’m only a few minutes away and can stop home during lunch or breaks when needed. My goal is to keep your pet comfortable, active, and well cared for while you’re away. I live in a pet-friendly apartment community with plenty of grassy areas and walking paths, making it a great environment for walks, potty breaks, and outdoor time. While I don’t have a fenced yard, your dog’s safety is always my top priority, and they will never be outside unsupervised. When you book with me, you can expect: * Plenty of love, attention, and playtime * Frequent walks and potty breaks * Regular photo and video updates * Care tailored to your dog’s routine, including medications if needed * Prompt communication and flexible scheduling whenever possible Whether your dog enjoys playing, exploring, or simply relaxing with someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pup before your booking to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I look forward to treating your dog like one of my own! I have a flexible work schedule and can often work remotely with advance notice, giving me the opportunity to spend quality time with your pet throughout the day. When I’m needed in the office, I’m only a few minutes away and can check in during lunch or breaks as needed. Whether your pet loves playtime, walks, or relaxing at home, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment community with plenty of grassy areas and walking paths for potty breaks and exercise. Because I don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised and dogs are always kept on a leash unless you have specifically instructed otherwise in a secure, designated area. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, feeding schedule, medications, and any special needs to provide personalized care. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll treat them with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. I’ll also provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“I am so happy that I found Kathy. I knew my Benny had not been happy at a large daycare facility because he began putting on the brakes to go in the door. After a meet and great Benny couldn't wait to go in Kathy's house and when I came to pick him up he acted like he wanted to stay. Kathy updated me throught the day with pictures and even a short video. Benny loved playing with Kathy's little dog and she had his favorite kind of bone to chew on. It's obvious that Kathy loves dogs and gives them plenty of love, attention and lap time snuggles.”

About: I have been the go-to pet sitter for my large family & friends for years and just decided to see if anyone else would need the service. I have no pets or kids but I am a pet lover in a nice home with a big fenced in yard. I like hanging out with the pets like little buddies, getting some days of cuddles and then sending them home 😅. It’s the perfect way to get some fur baby time until I’m ready for my next dog or cat in the future. This is not a business for me, it’s something I have enjoyed doing for my family and friends, and if you want your beloved pet to be in a calm but fun, comfortable environment while you’re away, I can extend my service to you. I recently started doing home stays/drop ins for the pet sitting too and enjoyed it. I currently have a really flexible schedule with a lot of availability. I live with my dad that occasionally says hi if the dog or cat is friendly but mostly the house is big enough that they never cross paths. I have a fenced in yard and a big house with a lot of space that I can also section off by closing doors. I typically take the animals out several times a day, feed them, and let them roam around the house or snuggle with me. I like when pet owners bring a bed for their pets so I can make them their own space but they’re welcome to chill with me in whatever I’m doing. I’m youthful, active, and responsible. I have a naturally friendly, calm demeanor that animals and people respond well to. I have no pets right now but used to have a pit/black lab mix that I loved dearly so I love pits and other breeds with historically bad reputations. I frequently sit my aunt’s beagle mix who’s just a little old pup that sparked my interest for pet sitting cuz it was so fun to have visits from him. He and my old dog are in a bunch of my pics. With all animals I just try to make them comfortable and let them feel at home.

It was our first time leaving champ With Zoe for a day. Zoe took very good care of him and his needs. She was very understanding of our pick up and drop off time change. When she had to step out, she reassured us that her husband would be home to keep him comfortable. She walked him and sent us an update. Highly recommend!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
