About: Hi, I’m Claire, and I’d be thrilled to care for your non-shedding, fluffy companion! NOTE: My home is currently open to non-shedding dogs only due to my husband's allergy. I’ve loved animals my whole life—growing up with a cat, bunny, and dog. I waited until I had a home with a fenced yard to get my own dog, a 3-year old Goldendoodle, who I’ve trained through classes and now partner with as a certified therapy dog team. I’m great with puppies to seniors and comfortable administering medication. Your dog will be safe, loved, and well cared for in my home. When staying with me, your pup is free to safely explore, roam, and play in a fully fenced yard with a doggy door for easy outdoor access. I live in a pet-friendly neighborhood with nearby parks and walking trails, offering plenty of opportunities for adventure. Your dog will enjoy both indoor and outdoor social time, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes throughout their stay. To ensure we're a good fit, please reach out to schedule a meet and greet. Requirements for a great stay: It’s important that your pup is friendly with people and dogs of all sizes, and comfortable in a shared social setting. Dogs should be able to read and respond positively to human and canine social cues. At this time, I’m unable to accommodate dogs who: - Experience severe separation anxiety - Bark, mark, mount, howl, or whine excessively - Are destructive or aggressive - Are barrier reactive or escape artists (e.g., jump fences, dig under, open doors) - Have a high prey drive or extreme energy - Persistently dominate other dogs My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and happy environment for every dog in my care. Transparency about your pup’s behavior helps ensure the best experience for everyone! I work from home full-time with a flexible schedule tailored to your dog’s needs. My desk is in the main family room—so if your pup loves the couch, they might just make a cameo in my video calls! I can arrange my daily routine around your dog's playtime, potty break, walk, and snuggling needs. Your pup’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard with a doggy door, so dogs can come and go freely—if you’re comfortable with that. I also offer fully supervised outdoor time. Inside, pups are welcome on the couch and can sleep wherever they’re most comfortable: a dog bed, crate, or even a human bed. Our own dog sleeps on her bed at night, but we’re happy to accommodate your dog’s preferences. Currently only accepting non-shedding dog's due to husband's allergy.

I’ve worked at a pet boarding facility (The Paw), and I’ve worked in veterinary clinics as a veterinary assistant (Apache Animal Hospital). My husband, Thomas, and I both live in our duplex property with our dog, Jojo, and our cat, Jack-Jack. I’d love to be a reliable caretaker for your pet when you need it! My work schedule is flexible, so I am easily able to step away to take my dog out for potty breaks and walks. I work from home 4 days a week, and my husband works from home 5 days a week. Our yard is fully fenced in, so your dog can safely roam outside. I don't crate my dog at home, but if that is what your dog is used to I am happy to accommodate whatever would make them most comfortable.

At my home, I have a 6-foot privacy fence. Your dog will be safe in my space. Besides being able to roam in the backyard, I enjoy any type of walk - snifari, gentle stroll, get the heart rate going or a pee and poo mission. Rain, snow or full sun - I am willing to get moving. Furniture is available for lounging plus multiple dog beds throughout the house. A dog-bed right next to my desk at home, absolutely! If your dog is crate trained, I have a quiet space for set up. In your home, I will abide my your rules and schedule. In my home, I have two cats. Your dog must get along with cats.

I also maintain an up-to-date list of urgent care and emergency veterinary clinics throughout the metro area for added peace of mind. Potential clients are always welcome to schedule a video home tour to see the setup and environment their pet would be in. My home allows for kenneling if needed, and I can provide large and extra large crates. I also offer separate spaces for feeding time and am located near several nearby parks for walks. For cats, I can provide a quiet, separate space if they need time to decompress. In addition to care in my home, I also offer house sitting so pets can remain comfortable in their own environment and routines. I’m located about 15 minutes from MSP Airport, which many traveling pet parents find convenient for drop-off and pick-up. Street parking is available in the area, and rideshares to the airport are typically around $20.

However, I am currently in the master of nursing program to get my RN license. I absolutely love animals! I have much experience in animal care, having worked at a vet hospital, a wildlife rehab center, and in an animal research lab. I have a dog of my own (husky mix) who I’ve cared for since a puppy and I used to have a shitz tzu mix. I am very patient, responsible, and flexible. I also have experience bathing dogs and nail trimming both cats and dogs. I promise you that I will always treat your pet with the same love and care that I would give my own :) Currently I am a full time student at the UMN in a fast paced 16month program. My schedule changes every 4 months but I am home most days - only gone for no more than 10 hours a week. I will keep my availabilities open on the days I don’t have class. I have a fenced yard and a husky mix, who will be excited to make any new friends. I have a crate meant for a large dogs that is available if needed. I also have extra leashes and lots of treats and toys!
