About: I've had cats since I was a child. Neighbors, roommates, friends, and family have relied on me to take care of pets when they are gone. This has included feeding at a specific time in a specific way and at times giving medication. With a former roommate, I also found and rescued a young female cat during law school, and she turned out to be pregnant. We bathed and brushed her several times to get rid of fleas, got her spayed after pregnancy, and rehomed the kittens. I've had my own cat for a few years now, and I understand needing to maintain their routine and monitoring diet to address issues such as regurgitation of food due to poor city water quality or eating too fast or sensitive stomach issues.
“Donna took great care of our two cats over the holidays and updated us regularly. They seemed very happy and calmer than usual when we got back. It was our first time booking through Rover and we really appreciated the positive experience! Would be happy to have her sit for us again. Thanks!”

“Jayda was great with my cat. In addition to daily care needs, she played with her and gave her a lot of attention. I’ll reach out to her next time I need a cat sitter.”

“Kayleah is great! She helped us out last minute and was so efficient with communication during our time away. Our cat is also very particular about strangers and she did a great job taking care of him. We will continue to book her if we ever need someone to take care of our little fur babies while we’re gone.”

“Thor was absolutely great with our very shy and hard to please cat! He allowed her to get to know him on her timetable and always followed her lead. This allowed her to now feel more comfortable with him than anyone outside our immediate family. In communications, Thor was always responsive, clear, and professional. Lastly, he left our house neat as a pin. I would wholeheartedly recommend Thor for pet sitting!”

“Hannah was so great with our cats (one very timid, one very playful) and even helped put a cone on one of the cats which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend!”

“Kelsey was great! She stopped in to care for our kitties during the holidays and was very communicative and prompt with lots of pictures and updates. I would happily have her care for my cats again!”
“Penny was my favorite sitter so far. She was great at communicating before, during, and after the trip. She left my house almost better than it was before I left. But most importantly, she bonded with my cats. I felt completely at ease while away because I could tell by her messages and photos that she genuinely liked my cats. Bonus... She also has a sense of humor. I will definitely be booking with Penny again.”

“Jenna was great! She was easy to plan with, easy going about the instructions for my cats, and was very nice to chat with. My cats were a little naughty (just making messes and being cats) and she handled that all really well.”

About: I’ve had several cats throughout my life and have also cared for friends’ cats while they’ve been away. I’m very comfortable around cats and their different personalities, and I’ve always seemed to get along well with them—even the ones who take a little time to warm up. I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day for feeding, playtime, attention, and company while still giving cats plenty of space when they want it. I also already have a litter box at my home for cats staying with me. I’ll follow your cat’s normal routine and make sure they have a comfortable, low-stress stay while you’re away.
About: I am new to Rover, but I have many years of experience in taking care of animals. In addition to living with cats and dogs for most of my life, I have also volunteered as a dog walker at the humane society. In addition to pets, I also volunteered at the Wildlife Science Center with feeding animals such as foxes, raccoons, bobcats, a lynx, and skunks, and I had the opportunity to care for wolf pups at the International Wolf Center. I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and most evenings and am able to work around your schedule. I currently have two cats and previously had dogs, so I understand the importance of keeping them on a regular schedule. Being around animals gives me joy, so I look forward to spending quality time with your pet. I follow your instructions and make sure to follow your pet’s lead when interacting with them. I send you pictures, so you can see how your pet is doing when you are away. I can also check mail and water plants if needed.
“Katie was great, she came through on a somewhat last minute request when my prior sitter was no longer available, and made it work! I came home to a pretty mellow kitty and had the ease of knowing she was getting some love while I was away. No complaints!!”

“Paige did an amazing job. She was wonderful with my cat, took care of him exactly to my instructions, and gave him the much needed attention and cuddles he requires. Additionally, she was a great communicator, responded quickly, and let me know of any issues. I felt no worries about my cat while I was gone, which is always a blessing when traveling while having a new pet sitter.”

“Sara was amazing with our kitties! Our one kitty is skittish but Sara always managed to get a pic and our other kitty got lots of pets and play time. Our fur babies were well cared for and all their things in order when we got home ☺️ Thanks so much Sara!”

I’m comfortable with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has their own routine and way of feeling comfortable. I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attention throughout the day, keep up with regular walks and feeding schedules, and spend time with pets rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Whether your pet loves long walks and playtime or would rather relax nearby while I work, I’m happy to adapt to what they’re used to at home. “Xan was a lifesaver. My wife had surgery in Ashland and I was able to get Rocky in with her on 2 days notice. She was great with him and would I definitely recommend and use her again. Thank you.”

About: I have had my own dogs (and cats, chickens, bunnies, etc!) my whole life. I have also been relied on by friends, family, and neighbors for years to care for their fur babies while traveling. My husband and I also foster dogs through various local rescues! I work from home and my partner has a flexible schedule. Usually, we are both home and able to provide 24/7 care for the animals we board! I have a very large fenced yard with two dog pools for hot summer days. Our chickens stay in a separate enclosed area. My home offers multiple rooms and, due to the fact that we often foster, we have several kennels and other “safe space” areas if your fur baby feels safer hanging out or sleeping separately from the rest of the pack. Although, we are a household that encourages pets to curl up on the furniture! We have 3 dogs- a collie/Aussie mix, yellow lab, and husky. All are friendly, up to date on vaccines, and love other dogs! Lastly, we are a cat friendly home but do have separate spaces available if separation from them is best.
“Brooklyn was great with Lilah. Lilah had so much fun playing with her very sweet dog. I appreciated the pictures & videos Lilah came home happy & tired! I highly recommend Brooklyn!”

I also love smaller, older or less active dogs, I have an 12 year old puggle, Fritzie, who I have had since he was a puppy, playing tug, going for walks and short play times is all in our daily routine. I would be happy to spend time with your furry companion giving them lots of love, attention and meetings all of their needs! I am currently back to work. I work 8am-4pm Monday-Friday, therefore, your pup would need to be comfortable relaxing at home during the day on the week days and have open availability on the weekends for all the play, adventures and snuggles. I am available to stay at your place to maintain your pups regular routine as much as possible. Due to recently relocating I am unable to board pets at my current home, but at looking forward to being able to do so very soon! I am available to come to your home for in home boarding, doggie daycare or daily exercise. I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves having a four legged running partner, exploring near by dog parks or strolling around the neighborhood on a daily walk and playtime. I love sharing the daily moments and bonding with your pet as well as sharing pictures of them with you while you are away.
“I can't speak highly enough of Kristine! I took a chance on a day care near my work and sent a request to her the night before needing her. Upon meeting her the next morning, all my apprehensions left! She was genuinely welcoming to me, but more importantly, to my pup, Bella. You know how you kinda wish your pet would look back and wonder why you're leaving them especially at a brand new place? Bella pranced right up to Kristine's house and was ready for the day's adventure. Clearly, I was more nervous than Bella. Kristine sent me an update within the first hour to let me know Bella was doing fine. It was even more exciting to hear that my little Bella was playing well with Kristine's bigger dog, Gio. What a twosome they were! Thank you, Kristine, for making this work emergency of mine doable and caring for Bella so lovingly.”

“Sunshine is super caring and has been a wonderful sitter for my dog. She’s flexible, communicative and sends lots of updates! My pup looks forward to spending time with her!”

I am open to stopping in daily and caring for you pets in your home as I dont have much space while I am currently living in the city with roommates and multiple pets in our household. If your pet has a favorite park, or yard to play in, I would be happy to engage in their favorite activities hwith them in those places.

“Ashley was amazing! Juno is very shy and usually takes a long time to warm up to strangers. Ashley was very patient with her and provided a calm and supportive environment. She also took Juno on at least 1 long walk a day - if not two and had a fantastic birthday celebration for Juno with a hike and raw bone!!! I would go back to Ashley in a heartbeat. I also really appreciated her daily updates with photos of Juno so I knew she was doing well and having fun.”

“Deb did a fantastic job with my dog Brandy. Sent many pics and was always quick to respond answering all my questions. Brandy was comfortable at her house and she was very attentive to his needs. Deb also was very accommodating when I had changes to my travel plans. I would definitely recommend Deb and will b using her again!”

“Robert was great with our family dog Izzy. She is truly a member of our family and we always feel bad leaving her behind when we go out of town and Robert did a wonderful job sending pictures and videos to let us know how she is doing. Would definitely recommend Robert and plan on using him again in the future.”

“This was Kyle's second stay with Andrea and he was excited to be back! It's nice knowing he will be well taken care of and will have a lot of fun playing with the her other dogs. We had a very tired dog when the weekend was over!”

“Kristen and her family helped us out over a weekend. Her young girls have a lot of energy but she kept and eye on our Leo to be sure they were good with him. He sleeps a lot and they let him do that. All evidence was that Leo was cared for.”

“Our pup had so much fun at McKenzie's house! She took such great care of him and I didn't worry at all about him while we were gone. I will definitely use McKenzie again in the future!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals and having them around has always been a normal part of my day-to-day life. I offer both boarding in my home and house sitting, and my priority is making your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll follow your normal routines and instructions closely and provide regular updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in good hands. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m home throughout most of the day and can provide regular walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, and plenty of attention. My schedule is flexible, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. I want pets to feel safe and comfortable while they’re in my care, whether they’re staying with me or I’m caring for them in their own home. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, and household routines, and I’m happy to accommodate crates or other routines your pet is used to. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“Teddy’s stay with Nichole and Jacob was his first overnight since he was adopted. They sent plenty of photos and loved him like he was their own. I will definitely use them again and may even be setting up play dates with Teddy’s new friend Koda (their dog).”

“Miriam was fantastic with our two dogs, Zelda and Maeve. She stayed in constant contact and sent several video and message updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear she genuinely cares for the pets she watches. We’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and communicative sitter!”

“Catherine and her husband took excellent care of our dog. Very communicative with pics, video and messages. Made us feel very relaxed with the care of one of our family.”

“Takenya was great with our dog Riley. She was very understanding when he had a little behavior incident at her place. She informed us right away and generally kept us updated with pics and videos. A true dog lover!”

“Robert was great! Our golden doodle seemed to be very well taken care of and Robert’s communication was quick and professional. We will definitely book with him again!”

About: I grew up with dogs and they are truly my heart and soul. We currently have 2 dogs 2 cats, (although one dog is a part time since they follow shared custody with the teens). We would absolutely love to take in your dog. We both work from home so they would get plenty of loving and attention! I work from home full time, along with my partner who also works from home; so honestly I'm very open. Our own dogs generally are taken out about every 3 hours regardless if they go potty or not. The animals have free range of the house (minus our bed) 😊 I do have a yard, although its not fenced, we have a track or a ground post if your worried about them running away while being outside. We also love to take walks. If they stay close and listen well, I generally stay outside with them. I can easily crate your dog if needed.
