They were patient working through our dog's anxiety on the second day (when he realized this was not just a one-off play date), and he ended up happy and comfortable the rest of the week, playing all day with their resident dog and another friend. We'd recommend them as excellent dogsitters and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.”

About: I have had my own dogs (and cats, chickens, bunnies, etc!) my whole life. I have also been relied on by friends, family, and neighbors for years to care for their fur babies while traveling. My husband and I also foster dogs through various local rescues! I work from home and my partner has a flexible schedule. Usually, we are both home and able to provide 24/7 care for the animals we board! I have a very large fenced yard with two dog pools for hot summer days. Our chickens stay in a separate enclosed area. My home offers multiple rooms and, due to the fact that we often foster, we have several kennels and other “safe space” areas if your fur baby feels safer hanging out or sleeping separately from the rest of the pack. Although, we are a household that encourages pets to curl up on the furniture! We have 3 dogs- a collie/Aussie mix, yellow lab, and husky. All are friendly, up to date on vaccines, and love other dogs! Lastly, we are a cat friendly home but do have separate spaces available if separation from them is best.

“Takenya is so sweet with our girl. Lilah has never stayed without a family member or trusted friend before so we were nervous. Lilah had so much fun. We got such cute videos of her time there. Our dog came home & happy & tired. She took a big nap. We already booked Takenya again!”

“I can't speak highly enough of Kristine! I took a chance on a day care near my work and sent a request to her the night before needing her. Upon meeting her the next morning, all my apprehensions left! She was genuinely welcoming to me, but more importantly, to my pup, Bella. You know how you kinda wish your pet would look back and wonder why you're leaving them especially at a brand new place? Bella pranced right up to Kristine's house and was ready for the day's adventure. Clearly, I was more nervous than Bella. Kristine sent me an update within the first hour to let me know Bella was doing fine. It was even more exciting to hear that my little Bella was playing well with Kristine's bigger dog, Gio. What a twosome they were! Thank you, Kristine, for making this work emergency of mine doable and caring for Bella so lovingly.”
