“Always a delight to have Donny taking care of our cats! We get great updates, our cats get time with one of their favorite people, it's a joy to have such dependable care available!”

“Shardae was very professional and is a trusting person. We booked her for drop in visits. She did a meet and greet so that our dog could get familiar with her. She followed all the instructions that we gave her. She took our dog on a walk when she came over and feed her. She also gave her one on one time to ensure that she is loved while we were way. I will rebook her anytime we are away. I will 100% recommend her to sit for your fur baby.”

“Every time Kevin watches Ragnar and Freya, I know they're in the best hands! His detailed updates and care make us feel completely at ease while we're away. The cats clearly adore him, and it's such a relief knowing they're so well taken care of. Highly recommend him for any pet sitting needs!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Kai!!! This is my first experience using Rover as I did not want to put my boys in a kennel while I was away for a few days. Since my pups are a bit senior I wanted them to be in the comfort of their own home. Kai saw my boys twice a day, was consistent and timely and great at communicating with me how everything was going every time he saw them. I was a little nervous initially with allowing someone in my home while I was out of town, but Kai is completely trustworthy and made sure to lock everything up in between his visits. I HIGHLY recommend Kai for taking care of your pet(s) when you have to be away from them :)”

About: Hi! My name is Tammie and I am from Torrance! I am currently doing pet care full time so I’ll have plenty of time to walk, play with, and feed your dog! I have had 2 Yorkshire Terriers since they were puppies that have passed at the ages of 13 and 18 — giving me experience with puppies and senior dogs. I have always had a warm place in my heart for dogs, so you can trust me to be kind and compassionate with your furry companion as I know how big of a spot they hold in your heart. I am currently doing pet care full time so I will be able to care for your pet while you’re away at work anytime on Mondays through Fridays! Saturdays and Sundays are also available upon advanced request. I will be able to care for your pet at the comfort of your own home by respecting any boundaries and rules for the pup.

About: Currently a mama to a five year old, high energy border collie! Have loved dogs and animals all my life and truly believe they are better than people! I’m currently working as a virtual therapist from home which provides me with a good amount of flexibility to be able to take your pups on walks, give them some play time, or whatever else you need! The safety, health and comfort of your pet are my top priority. Any specific directions you leave me will be followed exactly! I am here to make you and your furry friends comfortable and happy.

“Sami did a spectacular job. We have hired her several times and are always really happy with her professionalism, responsibility, and good communication. Sami's a wonderful sitter that I highly recommend!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Sue! I booked a little last minute, and she was the perfect cat sitter. My cat can be a little skittish with new people but immediately took to Sue. I got so many great pictures and updates, and felt so comfortable that my orange furball was being cared for so well. I told Sue that my cat tends to eat more if you stand in the kitchen with her, so not only did she do that, but cleaned up my kitchen area as well at the same time! Highly recommend and hope to be able to book her again to watch my girl :)”

“Carissa was awesome. She took care of my boy. Thank you very much”

About: I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, tortoises, guinea pigs, and more. I love them like they are my own, and give them constant care. Taking care of your pets, and your home is my number one priority. I will take care of both like they're my own, with respect and love. I offer in-home pet- and house-sitting for those who are looking for someone to love their pets and take care of business at home, without worry

About: I originally grew up taking care of rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas, which included grooming / shaving/ nail clippings and baths. I even litter trained them myself. I learned at a young age how to be gentle with all types of small animals and the importance of a clean environment. I am also available for exotic animal drop in visit care services (rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas). In my later years I fell in love with dogs and cats. I rescued all of my cats from trees and crawl spaces and learned how to cut their nails as well. When I got my first schnauzer - I learned the joy of training, patience, and positive reinforcement. My favorite thing to do is walk and spend time with animals, so it only makes sense that I create a lifestyle conducive to the things that bring me joy. I love spoiling dogs with special treats and I always talk to them like I would a person because they are so smart and pick up so many words. Walking with dogs outside, playing, chasing squirrels, and the joy of fresh air is my favorite thing to do. No walk is ever long enough for me. I am highly interactive and assertive to animals needs and I know how important positive energy is for their wellness. A good environment allows them to thrive and trust the company they are with. I am currently working part time, and I have a somewhat flexible work schedule, so pet care is something I enjoy and do daily as I have a pup of my own. I share my pup part time with my ex partner, so I have many days available to help take care of other animals. If it was completely up to me I’d have a tiny farm. I love animals so much and walking dogs is my absolute favorite pastime. I live in a one bedroom apartment with my cat Penny. My pup visits me two days a week. My cat is very dog friendly because she is used to my pup visiting twice a week. Fresh water, teeth brushing, home cooked meals/kibble are all things I do and I have stairs for smaller dogs to come on my couch. No areas in my home are off limits to pets.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 12 years- whether that be my family dog or my neighbors and friends dogs. I’ve volunteered at the SPCA handling and taking care of dogs so I am experienced in walking, feeding, playing with and generally loving all pets! I’m currently in flight school with a flexible schedule almost everyday of the week, so I’ll have plenty of time to play and take care of your pets! I live in Torrance so there is plenty of outdoor space and dog parks around the neighborhood to take walks and play. In a client’s home I’m always respectful of the space while taking care of pets.

“I’m very happy that Chieko took good care of my cat while I was out of town. She sent me pictures and updates every time she came, so that I could be sure my cat was doing OK. Not only taking care of my cat but she also took care of me how to navigate the app step by step. I’ll be requesting her again next time.”

“Courtney did an amazing job with our little Maltese Teddy. It was his first time being left at home and he can be quite nervous around new people. Courtney came twice a day to feed and walk Teddy and reassured us with notes and photos that all was well. Highly recommend Courtney’s service and would use her again and again. THANK YOU!!!”

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes, including rescues. It's very easy for me to get along with animals and I love taking care of them! I prefer dogs less than 40 lbs. Larger dogs are ok if they are calm, as I'm only 5"0 and they could easily overpower/hurt me if too energetic. Please, only dogs that are well-behaved (NO leash tugging, excessive barking, unresponsive to commands). My main family dog at home is an affectionate and energetic Havanese with separation anxiety. We've owned him since he was a puppy and I've gained great experience with training, walking, feeding, and bathing. We've also raised another Havanese puppy for several years. The largest dog I have experience with caring for was a 51 lbs Bull Terrier Mix rescue who required a lot of extra space and quiet time to heal. I'm very responsive and do send real-time updates of your pooch and what we are currently up to. I follow all of your care instructions diligently. I look forward to meeting your best friend and give them a fun, loving experience.

“Stephanie was absolutely amazing!! She was so sweet and great at communicating. My cat, Socks, really warmed up to her and was happy at every visit. She also brought in packages for us. I will definitely be contacting her again. Thank you so much!”

About: Ive been taking care of dogs since I was a little girl! I grew up with big dogs and small dogs so I feel very comfortable with any size and behavior. Im currently working mornings in Manhattan Beach and have some time to kill during the week so my availability is from 3:45pm-9pm. Im flexible on evening times as well. I live in an apartment complex which is dog friendly but most of the time we will be walking the streets around you or around me. I also have 2 cats that can be put away if your dog is not cat-friendly.

About: Taking care of dogs and cats since 2012 for friends and family. I am the first person to call when they want their fur babies to be taken care of. I enjoy long walks with them to ensure proper care as I believe a tuckered out pup is a happy and healthy pup. I work freelance and my schedule is incredibly flexible. I started offering my services on Rover recently at the request of many of my clients believing in my quality and caring approach to pet sitting should be offered to more people besides themselves. Growing up, I was always around animals, but unfortunately was never able to have a pet as both of my parents were allergic! Can you believe that? I treat every pet as my own and channel the same thoughtfulness I had as a child for every sitting job. I go beyond expectations with each client to meet their needs and wants for their fur babies. When sitting, respecting homes is also a priority for me as I am a total neat freak and would expect the same in return if someone was watching my pets.

About: Hello! My name is Ashley, I recently obtained my veterinary assistant certification and moving towards being a veterinary technician! I absolutely love animals and being around them. I work 8am-5pm all week. Im usually home all day on the weekends doing home work so lots of play time!! There is access to the house and backyard all day until it’s bedtime. I have a large gated backyard for lots of running and playtime! I have experience with dogs all sizes and breeds! I also do BATHING services!! *no grooming* I am experienced in giving medication in different ways as well! Hoping to hearing from you!! DROP OFF/ PICKUP; I cannot pick up or drop off during the week unless after 6pm, only on weekends I’m available anytime. I work 8am to 5pm, I take the pet in my care for a short morning walk and my mother comes midday to take them out again and refill bowls if needed. I mostly then come back home at 6pm for the rest of the night. I have good knowledge and understanding on animal care and husbandry. We have a big gated backyard that has access to my home all day, until bedtime. I’ll take them for a walk when I come back from work. Walking time usually depending on dog size/breed and how active they need to be. I like to have playtime after their walk until they are tired. My house has cameras covering everything including alleyway. And an infinity amount of love and affection😊

About: I have grown up with pets and have enjoyed learning and experiencing different personalities. With my hands-on experience your furry friend is in capable and caring hands. I specialize in small to medium-sized dogs, but my recent experience with larger breeds has expanded my horizons, though I'm quite selective and open to it only if they're exceptionally well-behaved. My approach to pet sitting is all about creating a comfortable space for your pet to ensure they feel safe and cared for even when you're not at home with them. I understand that every pet is unique and requires individualized attention, which is why I tailor my care to suit their needs and why I only accept 1 client household at a time. I try to accommodate your pet's schedule so that they don't have to experience too much change at once. This includes sticking to exercise regimens, feeding schedules, potty breaks and bedtimes. I work remotely full-time which means I have flexibility in my schedule. Additionally, I try to maintain an active lifestyle which includes running and hiking. When onboarding a new client, I make sure that I understand the pet's schedule and preferences. Additionally, I make sure to understand any boundaries the pet should adhere in the client's home including yard space or even areas in the house. I do a walkthrough with the client so I know what areas may pose a safety concern such as gates and fences. I try to understand the pet's behavior in different scenarios such as when the door bell rings or if a neighborhood dog approaches during walks. I also make sure I have emergency numbers and the location of the closest animal hospital. For client's ease of mind , I provide pictures and updates as needed on the pet.

“My friend Tammie is a dedicated and caring dog owner of many years, seeing her own dogs through puppyhood to their golden years. She has the necessary experience and compassion to prepare a foster for their forever home and would provide a gentle and safe environment for any dog. Tammie is also attentive - she will devote time and effort to ensuring they get plenty of daily exercise, interaction, and nourishment - everything they need to thrive. She is highly communicative, especially when unexpected issues arise and will always act with a dog's best interest in mind.”

Alessia B.
“Alessia helped care for my active labrador retriever, taking him on long walks and playing fetch. She also gave me useful tips when I was training him. I gave her clear instructions about what leash to use, treats, and wiping his paws when they went on dirt trails, and she followed everything to a tee. I would definitely recommend her!”

Tiffany H.
“Tif is a natural with animals. She bonded with my dog instantly. She has lots of energy to run around, play catch, and take her on multiple walks. She even taught her how to shake! It’s so nice having someone I can trust to watch after my dog when I’m traveling or when I need her to take my dog on walks if I’m away for several hours. I highly recommend Tif, but don’t go booking up all of her open spots because my dog is too attached to use someone else 🤣”

Kylie G.
“Kylie is a great pet-sitter! She's looked after my dogs for a couple years and I've always loved her! She's so sweet and energetic, so my dogs love her too! She can do anything from long walks to cuddles on the couch. I'd high recommend her to anyone looking for someone to watch over their fury friend!”

Gabriel G.
“Hi, cat owner here! Gabriel has watched my cat for when I've been gone for long weekend trips and he took good care of my young kitty (at the time around 2 years old, now a 3 year old cat). He was also a respectful guest of my home and not only fed Pancake the appropriate amounts of food at the right times per day but also made sure he had fresh water and a clean litter box. While my cat isn't picky and very low maintenance, he is kind of a dog-cat and Gabriel seemed to also entertain the little guy too. I'm not only looking for someone to feed our cat but, ideally, someone to also spend some quality time to make sure he's not just a fed cat but also a happy kitty. I'm actually hiring Gabriel again this very weekend since I know I can trust him!”

ashley e.
“Ashley has been taking care of our dog Hazel for years now and she is so caring and loving with her. You can tell Hazel loves her just by how excited she gets when Ashley comes to pick her up. Ashley has also been very available and is a great communicator. She's who you want taking care of your dog!”

Carole M.
“Carole flew to come take care of our 2 giant dogs for over 2 weeks! They are both over 120 lbs and she had no problem with them - so impressive! I loved that she took notes about their routines and asked questions before we left, it was easy to see she cared about the dogs and was on top of it. We got regular updates and pictures of the dogs having a great time which we loved. I had 100% comfort knowing she was taking good care of them which allowed us to enjoy our trip even more. Carole is a trustworthy, dog loving, excellent sitter!”
