About: I had the wonderful opportunity to have pets (the majority being doggos) since I was four! I truly just love being around animals! I sadly can’t have any animals in my residence now hence why I am here, I do want to say that I will do my very best to make sure any pets are well taken care of and loved when I am pet sitting! I am looking forward to future opportunities!! As of right now my schedule is pretty open, especially with summer coming up. Mornings especially but, we can always speak further about that when figuring outs dates that are needed for sitting. As of right now, when I visit back home to see my mom I help her with our two dogs, Sandra and Zeus. I also help out with our chicks. My biggest thing is just communicating, if there are specific ways an animal needs to be looked after I am very willing to help I just would prefer we talk about it extensively, as well as making a list of priorities for the pets.
“Spencer did a GREAT job pet sitting my cat! I found him to be prompt in responding to messages, attentive to instruction, dependable, and a real lover of animals! I gave him a 5-star rating and recommend him without reservation!!”
“Ash took care of our animals before she was on Rover. Now that’s she’s growing her business we have booked and are happy with her care. Having a new pup we were stressed but she did great.”

About: I grew up alongside many beloved labradors and English setters, as well as taken care of various other breeds for family and friends. I have always had a soft spot for furry friends, and they often have a soft spot for me too! I’m on break from college and looking for any opportunity to work with your pets! Let me know what you need and I will deliver! I will take the time to get to know your pet, and allow them to feel comfortable with me. I offer walking and drop in sitting services!
“Krystal went above and beyond for our pup Neema! My family is visiting for Christmas and we needed someone to come for several visits while we had a day at Dollywood. Krystal was prompt, had great communication with us throughout the day, sent specific updates on how the visit went such as if our pup went to the bathroom, played inside versus outside due to weather, sent us the most adorable pictures, etc. Krystal put our minds at ease and gave us a sense of peace while being away from our pup for the day. We highly recommend Krystal for any care that you need for your animals. Neema loves you Krystal 💜”

“Very thorough and communicative sitter! I can’t express how relieved I felt with Emily caring for my cat Boxcar while I was away. It was a night and day difference. So many amazing photos and she even administered his topical flea medicine! I 100% will be looking to book with her again in the future and highly recommend her! <3”
“Carlie couldn't be easier to work with and did a great job making sure the cats were well taken care of. Updates were very detailed and pictures super cute. Will absolutely rebook the next time we're away!”

About: Hi! I’m Celeste — your dog’s new favorite auntie 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover originally from Denver, now living right in downtown Asheville with my 5-year-old “puppy” (yes, she still thinks she’s a baby). We go on daily mountain walks, explore the city, and spend way too much time cuddling — so your dog will fit right into our routine. I’m dependable, nurturing, and super communicative. I’ll treat your fur baby like my own, keep you updated with plenty of photos, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained the whole time. Whether your pup needs hikes, chill couch time, consistent structure, or someone who just gets dog personalities — I’m your girl. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged best friend! 🐶💛 I do work a full time job that is Monday - Friday 9-5 and livr in Arden. In the weekends I am absolutely free and I am able to house sit and dog walk. I would be available on the weekdays depending on your location and if the animals can be alone for 8 hours. In My Home: I create a calm, safe, and loving environment. I live in downtown Asheville with my friendly 5-year-old pup, and we follow a steady routine of walks, playtime, and mellow downtime. Visiting pets get the same treatment as my own — constant supervision, lots of affection, fresh water at all times, and a cozy place to relax. I keep my space clean, dog-proofed, and stress-free so every animal feels comfortable and at home. In Their Home: I follow your pet’s normal routine to keep them grounded and secure. I handle feeding, walking, potty schedules, medication (if needed), enrichment, and plenty of snuggles. I’m big on communication, so you’ll get updates and photos as often as you’d like. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and understood while you’re away — no disruption, just comfort.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;

- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
