âRebekkah did drop by visits for my two cats while I was out of town and was great! She was responsive, caring and took care of all their needs. I would definitely book Rebekkah again and would highly recommend her.â

âErice is personal and professional. She takes very good care of Sunshine. She's very reliable. She has stayed overnight and done drop in visits. She's a wonderful sitter!â

âI couldnât have asked for someone better!! Aj did such a fantastic job with our 3 cats. She was always sending the cutest updates and pictures when she dropped in. She made sure they got in lots of play time on her visits and was always on top of the food, water and litter boxes.â

About: As someone who is hardworking and detail-oriented, I feel that I am up to the task of caring for all kinds of pets. From a young age I've worked with dogs, cats, small rodents, and even horses! Some even call me the "animal whisperer." Grooming, walking, playing, feeding, providing fresh water regularly, giving medication orally or with food, overnight stays, and cleaning up after animals are some of the tasks I've performed throughout my time caring for these beloved fur friends. I'm free every day of the week, preferably any time after 10 AM but also willing to negotiate times of care that fits both you and your pet's needs! I make sure to respect other's property and belongings when housesitting or petsitting for pet parents. Keeping spaces clean, tidy, and how I found it is something I find to be important when given the trust of others to be in their spaces. I'm always willing to learn and adapt to your pet's needs, environment, and behaviors.
âParks did such a great job with my two cats - one of them is nervous around new people but he walked right up to Parks the first time they met and seemed totally comfortable. Parks also had no problem handling our excessive feeding schedule due to the health issues of one of the cats. Will definitely be booking again soon!â
âLillie has been exceptional with the dogs and equally exceptional as a professional. She has house sat and dropped in with my dogs on several occasions. She is communicative, punctual and treated my dogs not only like family, but maintained our training and routine. Owning a large working breed requires a certain proclivity and understanding that Lillie has. It is hard to find this level of care or trust that is required for in home dog sitting. My only complaint is that she has other clients and I canât have her all to myself!â

âAshley did a great job looking after my 2 large dogs and cat while I was away. She was flexible when our schedule changed, professional and very easy to communicate with, keeping me up to date on my furwads and drop-ins. I highly recommend:)â

About: Iâve owned cats since I was 5 and dogs since I was 10. Both puppies and seniors, so I have worked on taking care of them for a long time! I have also gained experience in the pet care world through working at a dog daycare! Iâm currently attending school full time and work part time, but I am able to do evening and early morning walks! My availability does not change much unless Iâm away from school! I will not be able to take care of dogs in my home because of the two others I already have. In others home, I will be able to follow details given. I can let dogs out, walk them, feed them, crate them, or whatever is needed!
About: Iâve taken care of dogs/ cats my entire life. The last 2.5 years I have been working in Vet Medicine and have experience with many types of dogs/cats in various situations. My goal is to provide you with peace of mine that your fur baby is properly cared for & loved while you are away. Caring for animals is my passion! đžâ¤ď¸ I currently work at an animal hospital and have experience with MANY types of animals. I work part time at the clinic right now. So most of my time is home with yours pets 𼰠I do prefer a meet and greet with me and your pet before the drop off. I have dog lot fencing put up in multiple spots of my yard, with plenty more that could go up as well depending on how many stays. Dogs do not intermingle outside of families, other than through the fences. I do have a Min Pin, 2 Pit mixes, and a GSP rescue, who have their own area and wouldnât be around your pets. I would do crates/outside lots for all pets. They would get 4+ potty breaks throughout the day. If you have any questions or special requests, feel free to reach out. Iâm happy to accommodate where I can.
âAmy was the BEST babysitter we could have imagined. Our bear got his name because he can be a bear with new people and get very reactive. Amy came over before the stay multiple times to meet him and let him smell her good and get to know her. We had complete confidence leaving our boy with her after that. The first visit he was a little hesitant but by the second he was playing happy and LOVED her. We will not hesitate to call her again.â

âDebbie is our go-to cat sitter when we go out of town. We have booked her five times now, and she provides too tier service every time. My cats adore her and itâs such a comfort to know they are so well cared for while weâre gone. 10/10, Debbie is the best!â

âCaitlin is wonderful! She was so quick to respond especially on such short notice. I really appreciated how thorough the visit card was. Communicative and punctual, I would definitely ask her to sit my baby again!â

About: Iâve been around dogs all my life. They are my favorite living being ever! I adore them so much and want to spend as much time with them as I can. I have a lot of experience with dog sitting, at least 5 years (in home). I donât have as much experience with cats, but theyâre growing on me! Iâd be happy to watch your cat as well. I can do anything you may need me to do. I am a CNA, Medication Aide, and Medical Assistant, so Iâm very familiar with small procedures your pet may need. For summer break, I am working a lot, but Iâd still love to be considered even though our schedules may not align. There may be a break in mine for some reason allowing me to service you! Currently Iâm working: Sunday: 4pm-11pm Monday: 7am-7pm Tuesday: 7am-7pm Wednesday: 7am-7pm Thursday: 4pm-10pm Friday: 12pm-11pm Saturday: 7am-3pm Itâs a lot but I love working hard! Thatâs what summer break is all about :) I have the most experience in othersâ homes, since I canât have animals in my home. I am willing to do anything and everything you ask of me. With my schedule, a lower maintenance pet would probably be the best, but I can always mess around with my schedule a little if it can help you!
About: I have dog sat for many of my friends and family's dogs for the past couple of years. I have walked, fed, and bathed many dogs before. I am very reliable and you can count on me to take great care of your pets! I am currently in my senior year at Western Carolina University. I am looking for dog sitting jobs and am available through the week and weekend. I can go back and forth from my apartment to dog sitting, on Mondays I am done with classes at 4, and Tuesdays by 5. Every other week day I am done by 12:15. My schedule is very flexible and I am care for your pet whenever needed! I will walk your dogs as needed and make sure they get lots of playtimes and snuggles. I will stay with your pet as long as needed and make sure they stay happy and healthy and loved.
âNatalie was amazing to work with! She provided timely visits for my boy Leo and sent lots of great pics. Iâll definitely be utilizing her services again as Leo said sheâs the best!â

About: Hey there! My name is Allison and Iâm 25. I have two 5 year old full sized goldendoodles. I have been a dog person my entire life. I am currently a stay at home mom that works this alongside my S/Oâs schedule. Rest assured that your furry friend will have my undivided attention. Animals are just as important as our human kiddos! I am a stay at home mom and my S/O works overnights. While he is home with my son during the day, I am available to take care of animals. My animals are as important to me as my babies! I know it is difficult trusting someone new with your fur baby, as Iâve had to trust several with mine. I will update you throughout the visit and make sure we have a comfortable plan of action when it comes to accommodating your pet.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cullowhee
A few days before I was supposed to go up north to visit an old friend I began looking for a sitter on Rover.com. Not having used an online service before I didn't realize that I was trying to book at the "last minute." Johnna and Samuel graciously agreed to watch Gabi, my cat, with drop-in visits. Each day, true to their word, they sent me a photo and a written update of how Gabi was doing. I will unequivocally recommend Johanna and Samuel for their high level of care.
Erica did a wonderful job! She was mature, conscientious, and responsible -- even took notes during our first meeting!!! I was able to communicate with her easily and received periodic updates with GREAT pictures!! I would recommend her highly and without reservation!!
We hired Lillie for a drop-in visit for our three dogs & it was a great experience! Lillie is extremely kind, communicative & caring and we could tell immediately when we booked our meet & greet with her. She stopped by for an hour and walked our dogs, fed them dinner, and gave them lots of cuddles. She communicated throughout the entire visit and sent us lots of photos. We feel great about recommending Lillie to anyone in the local area & absolutely want to work with her again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
