“Finley seemed to have a great time with Samantha and her family. He is often sad when we leave him and doesn’t eat and apparently that wasn’t the case. I greatly appreciated the pictures.”

“Melanie and family were wonderful. We had so much peace of mind having our 2 small dogs in their care for our 2+ week trip to Europe. They did a great job updating us and sending pictures. 5 stars all around!!! We look forward to booking with them again in the future. :)”

“Ivana treated Max like he was her family. He was happy feeling part of the team with her dogs. He was pampered and loved. I will definitely use Ivana again.. so satisfied with her care for Max.🥰”

“I think my Sam had a great time with Cynthia and family…and he was so lucky that Cynthia’s daughter was there with her little dog Reggie, so he had a playmate the whole time he was there (9days). Cynthia watered her plants outside and my Sam loves to be watered also. And with the very hot weather, he enjoyed it. Will be returning!”

“Jessica did an excellent job with little B and he came home happy and healthy. He can’t settle down without his dog bed, so we were glad we could leave it with him. We also brought his food and water bowl. Jessica was professional, competent, and caring. Five star rating, for sure! We will definitely use her again.”

“Colonel had another stay with Kimberlee and Mitchell. As soon as we arrived, Colonel could not wait to start playing with their dog. Kimberly sent me updates each day which gave me peace of mind that everything was going well. We will be using them again and we highly recommend!”

About: I have had pets my entire adult life, and I know how important it is to you to find the right person to take care of them while you’re away. I am committed to taking care of your pets like they’re my own, and I’m excited to provide lots of love and fun! I work from home, and my husband is a full time dad, so we’d be happy to spend time with your pets, go for walks as a family, and see to their every need! We have pet gates throughout the home, extra kennels if needed, and a fenced in yard. We are also comfortable giving medication orally or via injection if needed.
“Holly and family were amazing. They boarded our two dogs for 12 days without any issues. Holly sent updates and photos every day and our dogs loved staying with her. We hope to do business with Holly every time we need a sitter!”

“I’m so happy I picked Tam and Alexander to watch our dog while we were out of town! The communication was great and I received so many pictures and updates. I would 100% recommend them and we will for sure use them again when we travel ☺️”

“Otto's stay with All went great. I really appreciate and applaud the service that Alok provided to Otto under short notice. We will be using Alok for future visits for sure.”

“Lara and Cary are wonderful people and we feel totally comfortable leaving our 13 year old German Shepherd in their care. Our dog likes staying with them and is calm and does very well when she stays in their lovely home. Highly recommend Lara and Cary.”

“Meagan took exceptional care of our Maycee! She sent regular updates daily and kept us informed on what she was doing and how she was doing. I really felt like she was being cared for by a friend or family member after meeting Meagan just once. This was the first time we have used Rover and having Meagan care for our dog gave us such piece of mind.”

“I have used Erin and Chris to watch my chocolate lab many many times! I feel so comfortable leaving town because I know they treat my dog like he is their own! If you are searching Rover to find a potential sitter, just stop and book on their page. You won’t regret it!❤️”

“Had to drop my cat off somewhere for the day while work was being done on my apartment. First time ever leaving him somewhere. Drop off was easy and assured me he was in good hands. Wooo be doing again.”

“We were worried about leaving our dog for 5 days with someone we didn't know and he hadn't stayed with before. That worry wasn't needed. Patty knew I was worried and was wonderful! We got pictures, videos, and comments about how the days were going twice a day. Patty loves and is knowledgeable about dogs and the wonderful care they get shows that. Our guy was obviously fond of Patty and we will definitely book with her again.”

About: I have experience with owning my own dog and also taking care of relatives/friends dogs when needed. My dog is a high energy GSP with separation anxiety. I understands the need for exercise and attention. It is me and my 6 year old GSP. I understand what it takes having a high energy breed and make sure she gets taken care of on the daily with playing ball, walks, and cuddles. I can easily add one more pup into the mix during our daily routines. I do not have a fenced in yard. I live next to a park where I run my dog almost daily. If we aren't doing that, we are going on walks around the neighborhood.

“Cliff was amazing with Daisy! He made her feel right at home very quickly. She stayed for several days and was so excited to see him and the other pups after the first day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend Cliff. He treated Daisy like one of his own, sent pics and updates throughout her stay.”

“Angela and Dan provided amazing care for our dog, Thunder. They loved him as their own! They sent us updates and pics and made us feel very comfortable. They were very flexible with pick up and drop off. I can’t recommend them enough!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Waukee
This was our first time using Rover and Ivana did a fabulous job, truly going above and beyond our expectations! We felt that she treated our dog like family, exactly as we would treat her. We got daily updates/videos and in every one, our dog looked like she was having the most amazing time! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

This was our first time using Alok. He boarded our pooch for 7 days, which was a long time, especially considering we had never used him previously. He was very responsive to questions and kept us informed on how our pup was adjusting. He has a nice back yard and plenty of inside dog toys! I could tell it likely didn't take long for Disco, our pooch, to feel right at home. We will definitely look to use Alok again in the future! Thanks again!

Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
