“Melanie and family took care of Maxim for more than a week like a family. They shared updates regularly and were very caring. We are so happy and would definitely recommend them.”

“Cynthia was so easy to work with and was flexible to do a last minute booking. They were so sweet and have a great environment for out. My pup left happy, we will definitely be back!”

“Erin and Chris are amazing!! They were super responsive. Genuinely listened to all of my dog mom concerns and were gracious and accommodating!! I got lots of pictures with updates and reassurance that everything was going well!! I will absolutely rebook with them when I have future needs!!”

“They took great care of our pup! We loved receiving the photo updates and it was clear he was happy, comfortable, and well loved the whole time. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. We would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone reliable to care for their pet.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was pleased with Jessica’s quick response time and enthusiasm to meet and care for Blanca. The process was easy and drop off went smoothly. Jessica’s dog was in a kennel when we arrived to make drop off less stressful for both dogs. The pups were introduced after we left to get their sniffing done on neutral territory (on a walk out front). We received photos and updates during our whole time away and knew Blanca was happy and safe. We would be happy to use Jessica again in the future!”

“Rachael was amazing. She responded back quickly and got a meet & greet done with. She listened to instructions and seems passionate about canine care! Definitely recommend and will continue to hire her!”

“We are so grateful for Casandra! She played with Noah so much and kept us updated with pictures and videos while we were gone. I know he felt right at home with her. Would highly recommend!”

“Jessica took care of my dog Iommi for a long weekend while I traveled out of state for my brother's wedding. It was my first time leaving Iommi and Jessica was the perfect person to leave her with. I was admittedly anxious about leaving Iommi for the first time, but as soon as I arrived the morning of drop-off Jessica made me feel 100% at ease. She took care of Iommi like she was her own and I know Iommi had a great time staying with Jessica and her family and playing with her dog Rip. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for care for their pet! I will definitely be booking with Jessica again!”

“Sam is wonderful!! We went on a week-long vacation and never had one worry about our family pup while we were away. She sent pictures daily and when we picked up Lola we could tell she was well loved and cared for. Highly recommend!”

“This was our first rover experience and I don’t think we could have asked for a better one. Ashly took great care of snoopy and sent me some cute pictures as well. He had so much fun playing with the other dogs. We will definitely be back!”

About: Hi! I'm a teacher and a lifelong animal lover with a flexible summer schedule, which means I'm home and fully available to give your pets the time, attention, and care they deserve while you are away. I've owned and cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from small breeds to large dogs, and I'm comfortable with a wide variety of needs and personalities. Our current fur baby family members include Mya, a 13-year-old lab/hound mix, and Mercury, a 3-year old kitty (who thinks he is a dog). Mya is a lover of all dogs, and Mercury goes with the flow when we have pups visit. I have experience with special needs dogs, including giving medication and extra support. As a teacher, I'm dependable, attentive, patient, and organized. I truly love caring for animals, making them feel safe and loved. During the summer, I'm available to pet care, walks, drop-ins, boarding, and giving lots of love to your fur baby. I have been helping a friend care for dogs through Rover, so I understand how important communication, trust, and reliability is when caring for your pet. One additional bonus - my home is full of animal lovers. I have 3 teens home this summer who absolutely love dogs and cats and enjoy helping give pets extra love, play, walks, and attention. Whether your pet needs exercise, cuddles, special care, or a calm and loving environment, I would be honored to care for them like one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m a teacher so I’m home this summer and available. I have 3 busy teens and am volunteering at the Des Moines Playhouse a few hours a week, but am home most of the time. We have a partially fenced in yard in our planning to completely fenced in in the next couple weeks. We live on a quiet street which is a great area to go on walks.
“Helen is amazing! Our dog Butter loved her time with Helen, and my wife and I felt totally at ease before, during, and after her stay. Helen was extremely helpful, sent us pictures of Butter throughout her stay, and made our dog feel right at home. We would recommend her to anyone and have our dog stay with her again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!”

“Holly was so kind it was first time i left my dogs she sent pics and let me know how they were. They seemd to love it there. I would recommend her to anyone needs a dog sitter”

“We're entriely comfortable leaving our dog with Jenevieve. She has great communication, and gives us regular updates while our dog is staying with her. Her pup Roman is a great host as well and makes our dog feel right home. They've become the best of pals!”

“Cory was very responsive and had great communication before and during Moose’s stay! When we picked up Moose after his stay he was happy and tired. He even got to meet new friends! Cory was easy going and handled my high energy dog well!”

“I can't recommend Patricia enough. She did an outstanding job and gave us updates every day while we were on our vacation. It was reassuring seeing our little guy taken care of so well. He had a warm bed, house and friends all around him the whole time. We often wondered if he'd even want to come back home 😊 We will definitely use Pat to take care of our little guy on our next family vacation.”

“As a return customer I can’t tell you enough how amazing these folks are at taking care of our baby! They send pictures, videos and make sure to keep us updated all the time! I appreciate all they do and for loving our River!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Clive
Rachel and her family truly made my dogs a part of their family. They always kept me up to date and sent so many pictures. Their daughter even drew me a picture that said “Thank you! I ❤️ S+S” it was so sweet! This was our second time having them watch our pups and I highly recommend them!

Mary was very responsive to all questions and need for our 9 1/2 year old golden retriever. Maya had a great time with Mary, and she can be a bit anxious at times when she doesn't feel loved or cared for. Maya came home happy and at ease, which speaks volumes for the care Mary provided. Highly recommend.

Mandy usually is very anxious when left anywhere but she seemed quite happy and content with Alicia and her family. Mandy also liked her dogs, Bennie and Mila, which helped keep her from being anxious. Alicia provided pictures and updates which gave us much comfort. I highly recommend this sitter and will use her again when she is available.

Amanda did a great job giving my and her dog time to get use to each other. It was a little rocky at first meet but they showed promise. She did great making sure they had the space they needed until they warmed up. By the end of our trip they were comfortable relaxing with each other and even played some tug together. Her pictures were also great and were a nice treat every morning (time zone difference) for us. A meet and greet and maybe and maybe a night to test the waters would be recommended but she does a great job managing the energy of the pack.

Priscila was so accommodating with a meet-and-greet prior to watching Sam and the drop-off and pick-up times that kept changing on my end. Priscila sent several pictures of Sam enjoying his stay and these were much appreciated. The communication with Priscila was spot on and she verified the drop-off time and pick-up times the day prior to Sam’s stay. I would definitely book with Priscila again.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
