Pet care experience

Animals are my family!

I've been pet owner/sitter for dogs & cats for at least 20 years. Grew up with both. In the past 18+ years I've have had 4 rescue dogs, all of whom lived to be at least 14. Unfortunately down to one at present. Jolly & I just lost his brother Wally & we both decided it was time to open up our house again to other fur babies. While I'm not rich, I make sure that all of my 4 legged kids get the best food, exercise, medical treatment & love possible. I strongly feel that ALL dogs should be treated as such and would treat your dog like a member of my own small family. I'm responsible, caring, patient and absolutely love the weird and wacky things that animals do! I give extra attention to "guest" dogs and make sure I do everything I can to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I'm a school bus driver & am working limited hours in the summer, so I have LOTS of time to spend with your baby. Jolly & I would love to host your dog!

Stacy was excellent. She truly cared for our dog Lucy, who can be timid when meeting new people and dogs. Stacy had great communication and provided us with pics each day as well as let us know how she was getting along with her own dog, Wally. I would not hesitate to book with Stacy again in the future. Thank you!

Stacy did a great job!! She made a great effort to help our dog feel right at home, especially during a thunderstorm! She would send messages and pictures almost daily. And was flexible with our time schedule.

Stacy was great with my dog. She made him feel at home and her dog Wally was nice to him too! I got frequent updates and pictures from her and he looked so happy. I will never look for another sitter if she is available!

Very very accommodating!!! Needed a last minute sitter for two pups and she responded very quickly and gave me updates of their stay! Would definitely recommend her again and it’s great place for small dogs because she has three there herself so it was like a puppy play date! Very happy with this booking!

Schedule

Weekdays: I don't have to be at work until 8am, so enough time for a quick walk & feeding. I'm usually home from work around 1:30pm. I don't have a busy social life so the rest of the day is for dogs! Weekends: free for tons of exercise & play. Lots of couch & bed chilling time! We are a very laid-back household!

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I have a large NON-fenced yard, both front & back. Have dog ties for the front. I'm used to lots of walks on leash. I will NEVER leave dogs alone, but would prefer a dog that is not a runner!

A typical day

I'm a huge walker and walk Jolly every day depending on weather. As he's kind of an old guy now, we probably only manage about a mile. However, can drop Jolly off & continue, better for me too! If all else fails, we play ball in my backyard or play chase in the house. I also have a tub full of well-chewed toys.

My #12 rescue Shit Tzu Jolly is a bit shy. He loves other dogs & constantly wants to play, even if he's not sure how? Non aggressive, 1/2 blind, very curious & a character. Misses his brother! Most of my experience is with smaller breeds, but as long as a dog is well-behaved and friendly, I personally have no issues with size. In the past, I have given medications to my fur babies on a daily basis. I'd like to know about any health issues, but comfortable with problems. Personality is obviously important: does the dog like to play or is he/she a couch potato? I'm super-flexible and happy with both. I'd definitely try to stick with your dog's regular routine, as I know that routine is very important when an owner is away.
