About: I've spent my whole life around animals, especially dogs, and learned how to take care of them from a young age. My reactive rescue pup (and his trainer) have taught me a lot about understanding dog body language, building trust, and supporting dogs that are nervous and/or reactive. Because of all the work I have put in with him, I'd be an especially good fit for dogs with anxiety or reactivity or even just dogs that have specific training needs! For friends and family I've walked and taken care of many different pups of a variety of sizes, as well as some cats and even ferrets! My partner and I recently traveled the country in a camper van with two reactive dogs, often in remote areas, so I feel ready to handle any situation. I LOVE hiking, so if your dog is good in the car and might want a longer adventure just let me know and they can be my hiking buddy for a day! I can do walks and drop-ins all over the city, but I can only offer overnight care in Northside because I need to be able to easily go home and walk my own pup. I work part-time and remotely, so I have a flexible schedule and could even work from your house if you need someone to keep your pet company during the day! I can offer walks at most times of day and I'm not bothered by hot, cold, or rain although I'll definitely take steps to keep your pets safe and comfortable in adverse weather. Unfortunately I can't care for other pets in my home because we have two reactive dogs, but I'll happily travel to your home and follow any directions that you give! I'm very careful to make sure pets keep their routines as much as possible and to leave your home exactly as I found it.

“After a few negative experiences with other sitters on Rover were so relieved to have found Kathleen. She was amazing with our pup, a great communicator and we returned home to a clean house and happy dog. We’ll certainly request to use her again!”

“Kathrine did an awesome job with my pups. She was constantly in contact with us and played with them like her own. Highly recommend I will definitely use her in the future”

“Rose is the best housesitter we've ever used from Rover! Responsible and great with communication! We had a small house/car emergency while she was housesitting, and she handled it perfectly. We will definitely be using her again.”
