“I am absolutely blown away by Jakiya and could not recommend her highly enough. She communicated like a pro and took exceptional care of my Finn and Vada! And, my house looked cleaner than when I left! I am already preparing to book her for another sit. My Finn and Vada wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“Kaleigh helped me out with dog walks when I had to cancel my booked housesitting trip last minute due to injury! My dog loves her. Great communication. Will book again.”

“Oli took such great care of our pup and house! We loved the updates and really appreciated Oli’s wonderful communication! We always know Maddie (and the house) is in the best hands with Oli when we are away!!”

“Victor did great sitting for Ellie, kept her company all day, listened to her needs, gave her food and her medicine. Would absolutely book him again in the future!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for 4 years and have a huge heart when it comes to animals! I’m here to put your mind at ease while you’re away from your pet. I’m a teacher, so my summers are free to help you out with your pups! I am happy to check in, walk, or play with your pet when needed. I can assure you that your pet will be in safe hands while at my apartment. I will make sure they are fed appropriately, taken out, and walked multiple times.
“Violet did an amazing job watching Finn! I had her stay at my place while I was out, she was very professional and cleaned very well before she left! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to come watch their dog!”

“Alex worked with our one dog who was nervous around him at first. He spent a lot of time at our house with our two dogs while we were on vacation. When we came back our dogs were tired and happy.”

“Michelle did an incredible job house and pet sitting our dog and cat. She communicated well, sent delightful photos and updates, and even handled an unusual house issue safely and with no stress on our end. We can't wait to book with her again!”

“Marie watched my beloved pup in my home for several days while I was out of town. She took wonderful care of Ember, including walks and snuggles and selfies for me. She took care of the mail and put my trash out before I got home, ensuring my house was quiet and clean when I arrived home, with a happy dog to greet me. I would recommend Marie to anyone who has a beloved pet who needs someone to stay with them when their family goes out of town.”

“Elizabeth took wonderful care of Roo while we were away for four days. She was incredibly flexible, communicative, and made us feel completely at ease throughout our entire time away. She sent frequent updates and pictures, which we really appreciated. It was clear that Roo was well cared for, and Elizabeth left our home very clean and treated it with respect. We would absolutely book with Elizabeth again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy sitter.”

“Celeste was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter. She was communicative, thoughtful, and consistently kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear she genuinely cared about my dog, and seeing how happy and comfortable my dog was in her presence meant everything to me. I could tell my dog felt safe, loved, and well cared for the entire time. I would absolutely trust Celeste again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“As always Daniel was wonderful! Very responsive, respectful of our home, and its clear both of our cats are comfortable with him. Definitely one of our preferred sitters.”

About: I’ve always been an animal person and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own ball python. I also have an Australian Shepherd who can be pretty anxious, so I’m used to being patient with nervous pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve pet sat for both dogs and cats, including a cat with a more aggressive personality, so I understand the importance of respecting each animal’s boundaries and adapting to their individual needs. I love getting outside and taking walks, and I’m very familiar with the Richmond area. I also worked as a house cleaner for two years, so I’m comfortable being in clients’ homes and understand the importance of being respectful, trustworthy, and reliable. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe and happy while you’re away! I work about 20 hours a week as an esthetician and make my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Because I set my own hours, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I would love to fit pet care into my routine. I believe every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping up with their feeding schedule and any specific instructions you provide. For cats staying in my home, I’ll provide a calm, safe environment where they can settle in at their own pace. Having lived with multiple cats of various personalities, I understand that some cats are social while others prefer their space, and I’m happy to accommodate both! I will stay in regular communication, providing updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing!
“Rose was fantastic, we couldn’t ask for a better pet sitting experience. All of our pets adored her and seemed more than happy in her care. She sent lovely updates/photos of them and wasn’t afraid to reach out with questions. It was the most worry-free pet sitting experience and we look forward to travelling again knowing our pets will be safe and loved in her care.”

Brookland Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Molly took great care of our three dogs while we were away and kept us updated throughout. Molly was especially patient and understanding with our older Chihuahua. It was clear that our dogs were well cared for and comfortable. We would happily trust her with our pets again and highly recommend her to others.

Amaya did an amazing job. Love her fun and bubbly personality. She was very consistent with her updates and easy to talk to. Knowing our babies were in her good care made our vacation much more relaxing. I would highly recommend and can't wait to book her again.

Ginny took such amazing care of my Tillie-Bean! She kept me updated with plenty of photos and messages, which made being away from my sweet pea so much easier. Tillie had such a great time that I’m pretty sure she’ll be requesting Ginny as her sitter again in the future! 🐾💕

If you can successfully walk my dog, you can probably handle just about anything! 😂 My pup is full of energy and thinks every walk is an Olympic pulling event, but Jonatan handled him with patience and confidence reassuring me that my sweet boy was in good hands. I will definitely use Jonatan in the future as he helped me out in a bind for a last minute trip and even came over the night before to meet my pup. Very accommodating, attentive, and kind.
